@Kits - At work, ah gotta love having you when I don't want you and wanting you when I don't have you. At least I'll get paid for my exhaustion - though I luckily got a decent amount of sleep (well, by my standards, not exactly by decent standards) last night, so I shan't complain.
Thought I'd check out the threads that didn't have video links to taunt me since I can't watch them while here, an elementary school, because I know you Kits and your devious links ^_~. I've just been handed busy work, which I'm glad about, I always like things to do, so this will probably be the only thread I get to until I get off, maybe, depends on how many more stacks I have waiting out of site razz .
Yea, I tried to get my mom to play games when I was a kid but she never got into it (my dad did though, Legacy of Kain was OUR thing, and I think a large part of why I love it is that it's the best bonding experience I've ever had with my dad). She watched New Moon with me last night, she keeps wanting to watch these movies (not in theaters though) but then huffs and goes "oh barf" and says "that's ridiculous," the whole time. It's hilarious. So yea, she'll watch a lot of movies with me, but my dads more into cartoons/games than she is. Though as he's aged his vision has gotten rather sketchy and he doesn't game so much anymore.
I think YOU being crazy makes it individualistic for you...hehe, j/k!!!
@both - I don't fan begging as a general rule, but it doesn't bother me any extra in regards to Yami no Malik. I think because the biggest component of sociopathy is selfisheness and self preservation, it's fitting to the diagnosis that he'd do whatever it'd take to maintain those things. Sociopathy isn't about pride, so while people see him as a proud character and find the break offensive, I don't, because I don't see him as proud. Malik is proud, and it explains why he created Yami no Malik. However YM is psychosis not vanity, so while begging doesn't do it for me because begging doesn't do it for me, the actual fact of it's happening does not bother me in the slighest.
@Kits - I think that's my issue with the tongue, they are weird, often tiny and they just aren't textured right - and I think it's really hard to create the right cartoon texture for a tongue, and would just never happen. So yes, it is a bit more tongue like, but not quite. I find tongues to be something that just don't ever come out right in the 2D animated world. His is better than most in anime, I will give you that, but it is just still not realistic enough for me.
Now off to mah busy work!!

My opinion on YM isn't actually change because of the begging... When I think of him, I don't usually even remember that he did it XD It was more of an observation.
Tongue still doesn't do it for me... I just prefer not to draw tongues all together XP They're hard to draw (Big and vein-y or small and dinky)... I dunno... razz

Yea, I honestly didn't remember it either until it was mentioned here, but now thinking about it, that was pretty much just why I can brush it off.
They creep me out less in good life art, but yea, I mean I'll never have a tongue fetish. Focus on the tongue in text is sometimes - SOMETIMES - appealing, depending, but in general it's just not my thing and I definitely don't want to see it.

@Jk: Heehee, you know you love my devious links. <3 My dad and I usually bond by going hiking, camping, fishing, or watching movies (or Avatar) together. My mom and I usually bond by talking or running errands/going out to eat together. Interesting how things like that vary. The begging bothered me more because I don't completely base Yami no Malik off his sociopathic role; he's an anime character after all, and I probably wasn't written to completely represent a mental condition. He was a villain that always seemed to be in control, and even when someone would turn a duel around on him, he would laugh it off or enjoy the pain, or turn it around again. So it just seemed really strange and unfitting for him to suddenly be begging, instead of bringing that control even to his death and getting one more helping of fear from the characters as he died. Haha, can't say I have a tongue fetish, but they are definitely one of the body parts that appeal to me. XD
@Nightfure: Yes, tongues are quite special...

Ok, I really want to get off my dads computer, so if I get a loaner this will be my last post until tonight. And if I don't this will be my last post until tomorrow. cry
@Kits - heck yea I do! razz
I am now watching Devil Dante btw, not sure where exactly that convos going on, but just wanted to state that importance while I'm thinking of it ^_~.
Yup, I don't think there are too many things that I'd do with both my parents. I really want to go camping more, and on better hikes. My dad is in no physical shape for that kind of thing, my mom's a bit better but not as good as I'd like. Still maybe I'll manage to swing some sort of trip before I move across the world. Another problem with failing technology, I really want to accept my grad school acceptance, I've made my decision. However I need to scan my passport first *sigh*.
Yea, while I assess characters as people, so if he's a type of person - such as a sociopath - then I will not have qualms to him conforming to that role. I mean classic villains in general have a flaw, and only the truly insane (a class sociopaths don't get put into fyi) manage to go down laughing. He's the product of insanity, but he's not insanity to me, and thus that kind of twisted death would seem unlikely to me. Self-preservation is basic human instinct, only the insane do not abide to this rule. Yami no Malik, is twisted, depraved, psychologically complected, but he's not insane. Thus, I think his end is actually going to start to be one thing I like now that I think about it. It's what does prove him to be human, rather than simply machine like, he conforms the way humans are supposed to conform.
One of my best friends has a huge tongue fetish, haha, creepy. Although, the one time I like this is with ZADR (remember what that stands for Kits?!?). Zim has a different tongue than "humans," and it actually works to have his portrayed, all alien and reptile like. I love snake tongues fyi ^_~.

Yay for watching Devil Dante! My parents are kind of opposite. My dad is pretty healthy and can still do that kind of thing with me, but my mom has developed fibromyalgia in recent years, so can't do so much. Well then, hey, even if we assess characters in different ways, I can be happy about that, because it's given you a bit of a reason to like Yami no Malik a bit more. ^^ ...I've had a difficult time enjoying tongue stuff outside of human (or human-like) tongues because... one of the Left 4 Dead zombies is called a Smoker, and he has an extremely long tongue that he uses to wrap around you and pull you in. Didn't think much of it, until I stumbled upon the... zombie porn... and the Smoker was using his tongue to... go completely through another zombie's digestive system, and then around his neck... backwards... *shivers*

Well in the end, between the awesome arts and animations and heck even the awesome username how could I not? razz
Well my parents are both not exactly healthy, but my dad tends to have more physical things from a sedentary lifestyle, bad hips, arthritis, etc. Whereas my mom has more internal failings, pancreas, thyroid, asthma, etc.
HAHAHAHA, ok that just sounds hilarious, but might be creepy to see. But yea, the tongue probably gets the creepiest depiction of any muscle - in part because it's one of the few external muscles, and then because it's more flexible than most (eyes, ears and skin are all external, but can't exactly go off and do their own thing).
Ya know, I find it utterly fitting that Malik's thread ended in a long conversation about cheese, and that Yami no Malik's has dissolved into a discussion of the tongue.

Yes! ^^ My dad has some mild problems with his feet and such, but is overall very healthy for a man in his sixties. He's still a handyman and does physical work everyday. My mom's in her fifties and is far less healthy than him, sadly. Yes, it was exceptionally creepy to see... yet oddly fascinating. *shivers* The tongue is quite interesting in that regard though. ...that is completely and utterly true and completely and utterly awesome.

My dad just turned 67, and he's rather healthy for a man who lives his lifestyle. Smoking, past drug use, unhealthy eating, being completely sedentary, etc. He also started drinking when he was 10, he stopped around 40, and has been going to AA ever since. Still, doesn't change the fact that he started when he was friggin 10!
I love creepy yet oddly fascinating. I found a Left 4 Dead meme today which made me wish I was more familiar with the series, it was pretty cool, Smoker gets referred to but I think Hunter was their favorite zombie? If I'm remembering that right, it's kinda neat that there are zombie characters. Usually they are just mindless mass, not plot relevant (at least it seems they'd be plot relevant if they have names and such, maybe I'm making assumptions). However I think Resident Evil taught me well enough that while I will not leave the zombie movies alone, I have to leave the games alone. My ability to keep from having heart attacks depends on it ^_~.
I thought so ^_^.

Oh wow, that's really friggin' early to start drinking. o.o Glad he's healthy despite. Yay, Left 4 Dead memes are the best! <3 And yeah, Hunter is probably the most popular zombie, because he jumps around like a ninja and wears a hoodie. Though my favorite zombies are Jockeys and Smokers. I don't know if you can really say the 'special' zombies are plot relevant, because they're not actual characters so much as types of zombies. Like although Smokers are extremely uncommon compared to the normal hordes of zombies, you'll still run into maybe three or four in a level. They don't have personalities, just special abilities that you need to watch out for. People give them personalities in art and such though. I guess it's like running into a stronger enemy in normal adventure games, like ones that are less common than the little minions, but not necessarily bosses. But the characters you play as do talk about the special zombies like, "Oh, it's one of those tongue things!" or "Smoker's got me! Get it off!" and sometimes you'll even get fun comments about them. Like this really hideous zombie called the Spitter, if the character Ellis kills her, sometimes he'll say to Nick, "Oh, sorry I killed your mom Nick!" XD Regardless though, I find the character dialogue the best part of the game, and you can actually watch play throughs on YouTube to hear it if you don't want to actually play. Either way though, Left 4 Dead is a lot less scary than Resident Evil. It has a lighter atmosphere, and is pretty funny, and more gory than scary. Resident Evil is meant to be scary, where's Left 4 Dead is more meant to be fun and cooperative.

Yup, I have a friend who started at 15, she already looks like she probably won't age very well, assuming she lives long enough ~_~. Don't really want to follow that vein of thought.
I know, I'm totally loving the hoodie, hard to top that, hehe.
Still, usually they aren't differentiated or typed, well I guess Res Evil has your juiced up villain, but yea. Zombies are usually a common mass.
Nick's mom is fugly!!! biggrin

You and I both, and a host of other people as well. She's one of my favorite people, and while I think she can be such an idiot, and she's definitely "cut off her nose to spite her face" on more than one occasion. Nonetheless I've just really admired things about her for a long time, it gets under my skin how much I care actually, because she both annoys and scares the crap out of me. Oh well, there's really nothing I can do, if there's one thing I know for sure, she'll do what she wants and be who she wants - and will react negatively to anyone who tries to "help" direct her otherwise.
I think zombies would be less scary in hoodies... razz
Ok now I'm curious, if you don't mind prattling, what are the zombie types and what are the features of each type in the game? I can go look it up if you don't want to ramble on about that mind you. I really want to play the games now but, I just know, knowing me, that it would probably end up being a bad idea. Even if I didn't play them alone. Because I had never played Res Evil alone either actually. Still months, to years later I suffered massive amounts of anxiety and panic from what is really an irrational phobia - heck, even now there is still the occasional flair up of a freak out. The movies never get under my skin the way games did, it's just so cruel.

Oh, that's really too bad... D: It's good of you to care for her so much though. That they would. XD Oh, no, I don't mind prattling at all! =D I get excited getting to tell people about Left 4 Dead. Let's see... from the first game, we have the Hunter, Smoker, Boomer, Witch, and Tank. Hunter is the hoodie zombie. He jumps around on buildings and stuff and sneaks up on you like a ninja. Then he'll pounce on your out of nowhere and pin you to the ground, clawing at your. Smoker is the tongue zombie. He hides on rooftops and such and extends his tongue super long distances to grab you. Someone either has to shoot his tongue or kill him to get him off. He'll either pull you against a wall and strangle you, or pull you to him and claw at you. Also, when you kill him, a bunch of green smoke explodes out of him, and you can't communicate with teammates when you go through it, because they're too busy coughing. Boomer is the fat zombie. He's really slow and easy to kill, but he has an ability where he pukes on you (disgusting, I know), and it attracts hordes of common zombies. Also, if you kill him too close to you, the puke will explode on you and attract the zombies as well. The puke also temporarily blinds you as you're being attacked on all ends. Boomers are kind of funny, because a lot of times they'll just appear out of no where and just... stand there, chillin'. But then other times there's friggin' ninja Boomers who will just puke on you without you even knowing they were around, and then they'll disappear and you're like, "WTF?!" There's also a female version of the Boomer in Left 4 Dead 2. Witch is the emo zombie. She actually won't attack you unless you startle her. Otherwise she just sits alone in the dark crying to herself. But if you stare at her too long, go too near her, shine a flashlight in her eyes, or attack her, she'll absolutely flip and attack you insanely fast with her crazy claws. She's also really hard to kill; definitely the most powerful zombie next to the tank. Unless you're going for achievements, it's best to try to avoid her. There's also wondering Witches in Left 4 Dead 2; in the day time Witches walk around and cry instead of just sitting there, so it's harder to avoid them. Tank is the boss zombie. He only comes usually once a level, but he just runs straight at you like a giant ape or something and just smacks you flying into the air. He can kill you really easily, and takes a lot of hits to kill. He can also throw giant rocks at you from a distance. He usually only focuses his attacks on one survivor though, so the others can usually take him down as he's attacking that one person. Next is the new special zombies added in Left 4 Dead 2: The Spitter, Jockey, and Charger. Spitter is the spitting zombie. She's pretty weak and easy to kill, but she's meant to divide the group up, because in the first game, people got too comfortable with staying in huddles, moving from one corner to the next, and just shooting anything that they saw. It got too easy, so whenever the group is huddling too much or hibernating in corners, the Spitter is programmed to come out. She pits a giant puddle of acid on the ground, so you have to hurry and get away from it. This keeps people from standing in that one spot, and it also often forces the group to separate until the acid goes away, because the puddle will often send people hurrying into different directions, and there won't be any way around it. Jockey is the riding zombie. He's probably my favorite of all of them because he's so crazy and makes psychotic breathing noises. XD He pretty much just pounces out of nowhere and rides on top of peoples' heads, which his legs wrapped around their neck. He then covers their eyes and tries to control them to go in bad directions, away from the group or off of buildings, and hurts you as he's doing so. Players call him head rapists and stuff like that, and even Ellis calls them humpers. XD;; And the character Coach goes like, "It ain't right for a person to be ridden like that!" Charger is the charging zombie. He just charges out of nowhere and rams into a random player, sometimes running them off buildings or something, and other times just taking them a distance, then pounding them into the ground with his giant arm. He's probably the strongest zombie besides the Tank and Witch, as he takes quite a few hits to kill (where's the others usually take two or three), and he does a lot of damage when he pounds you on the ground like that. No where near as strong as a Tank or anything though. Then there's also the 'uncommon' common infected. They're pretty much also common infected, like the normal hordes, but there's something about them that makes them stand out a bit. They're all only in Left 4 Dead 2. First one's just zombies in hazmatt suits, so fire doesn't hurt them. Next are clown zombies (you go to an amusement park at one point) and their squeaky shoes attract more zombies. Then there's mudmen, who are zombies that live in the swamp and are covered in mud. When they hit you they put a bunch of mud on your screen, so it's a bit harder to see. Finally are ones in armor, which you have to kill from behind. And then while I'm at it, I'll also tell you about the survivors, because they're the best part of the game to me. XD In each game you have four survivors, and zombies that pin you down or attack you individually (Hunter, Smoker, Witch, Jockey, Charger) really emphasize how important it is to work together, because if you get grabbed or pinned by one, you can't get up or away from them without someone hitting them away from you/helping you up. So if all but one team member ends up getting killed, you probably won't make it through the level unless you're really near the end. So yeah, characters from Left 4 Dead 1 are: Bill, the veteran. He's probably the leader of the first game's characters, since he's a Vietnam veteran. He gives the most orders and stuff, and is also pretty tough, even though he's old. He is pretty good at keeping the biker/rebel character, Francis, in line. Francis, the biker. He's the most bitter of the group, and always complains and says how he hates everything. Like you climb stairs, you hear him say, "I hate stairs!" etc. Zoey, the horror movie fanatic. She's the youngest of the group, and was in college when the apocalypse hit. She's probably the funniest character in the group, cracking a lot of jokes. She's also really into horror movies and video games. Louis, the businessman (and my favorite from the first game! <3). He's definitely the optimist of the group, always saying like, "It will be okay. It's all gonna work out." and stuff. He was a businessman before, but was actually pretty unhappy with his job, so is kind of enjoying the new and exciting life. He and Francis make fun of each other a lot, Louis saying that Francis needs to learn how to read and stuff. Then the characters from the second game: Coach, the, um, coach. XD;; He's probably the leader of the second group. He used to coach high school I believe. He loves food, a lot, and has a good sense of morals and is quite religious. (not like, so much that he preaches to the group, but he prays to himself sometimes and such) He's kind of like the father figure, being stern but sweet at the same time. Nick, the gambler (Karma's favorite!). He only came to Savannah (where the game takes place) for a little while and ended up getting caught up in the zombie business. He doesn't trust others, and is very sarcastic. He only plans on working with the others to survive until he can get out of there, but becomes closer with them overtime. He's apparently quite wealthy from his gambling habits, and makes fun of both Coach and Ellis (as well as their hometown) quite a lot. He and Coach don't get along very well because Coach doesn't take his crap, but Ellis is usually more oblivious to it, so they seem to get along better. Rochelle, probably the least developed character in the series. She's a news producer, and she screams really loud when she gets attacked... she's also probably the best shot in the group, but other than that, she doesn't talk much. She sometimes says corny things like, "Oh, son of a bee sting!" but that's about all that's interesting about her. No one in the group seems to dislike her though, even though when she's played by a bot, she steals all of your kills and never helps you when you're being attacked by a special zombie... stare Ellis, the mechanic (my favorite from the series!). He's the happy-go-lucky character. He's a total redneck, and likes to always tell random stories about his friend Keith to the group. He kind of just sees the zombie thing as one big game, and likes doing crazy things and impressing his new friends. He was a mechanic beforehand, and also played base in a band. Aaaaand, that's it! I still think you should try watching some play-throughs of Left 4 Dead if you're interested. Maybe see if it would be bothersome to you or not to actually play. I know I'm a pretty big coward in games (like even some Zelda temples scare me XD) but I'm not really scared at all when playing Left 4 Dead. It's just too fun, and if you get killed, it's more funny than scary, or at least annoying. So yeah, I'll shut up now!

Haha, well glad you don't mind.
And oh the characters you are actually trying to keep alive, psh, who remembers those? Haha, so do you play as one of the 4 and you can switch which one you are, or do you have those 4 with you? Or are you just a set one from the beginning. And do they all just magically come back to life once you get to another level? I could see where that would be necessary to the game, but seems to kinda kill reality...though maybe that would help make it less intimidating for me. razz
1. Your Hunter statement seems to be incomplete, either that or you wrote your and meant you. If it's the former you are killing me with suspense here, my what my what?!? If it's the latter never mind, haha.
2. Well I don't think I like Rochelle stare
3. Nick and Ellis both seem likeable, but I guess I'd have to play to know. Idk, maybe I'll play the PC version someday, maybe. I guess I could prod my xBox friends and see if any of them have it at least try and watch them play.
Oh, and on l4d.com now, it's coming out for the evil Mac soon...dun dun dun!!!
