How did the polar bears meet the penguins if they live in completely opposite sides of the world? And the polar bears shoul have had the Coke, not the adorable little pengies.
I think that was the cleverness in the commercial, somehow. Like the whole east meets west thing. But...not the same directions. And I'll bet you that Coke execs and legal people poured over that issue for a lot longer than humanly necessary just because of that.
But in answering the question, the polar bears were on a vacation to the other side of the world where they would find a similar, though different, habitat. And My guess is either a) they didn't bring any Coke with them on the long trip, or B) this is actually a look into the past as to where the bears originally adopted the tradition of Coke from in the first place.
