Naturally Faris settled next to her best friend as she flipped open her handheld gaming system and leaned very lightly back against Evari as she pulled out the stylus, she already had the game in. Her ear twitched a bit at the question as she nodded a bit guiltily, "Ja! I played it alreadies. I just wanted to sees if it works okay and stuff! Andandand it meanses I can show you how ta use yours! Yays!" Faris wiggled a bit in place despite the fact that it might upset Evari who was leaned on her.
"So let's get yours all setteded up for yous and then we can play," Faris said cheerfully as she used her own system to show Evari how to navigate the various options and things that were available on just the handheld alone which also include an option for chatrooms where one could draw to their heart's content.
"Mm? Oh thank ye! I certainly do 'ave a recipe, I can share it with ye before ye leave. I 'ave it on an index card, I don' particularly need it since I 'ave it memorized," the Satyress said with a small proud grin as she continued to eat quite casually. She was in no particular rush to send her friend on her way again, it was nice to sit and chatter with someone that was not only considered a friend but sober as well. Not that everyone at her establishment drank but not all of the people that came were always considered friend. Luis paused a little at the question before she nodded, "She's growin' up fine, I think. She is quite rambunctious when she wants t'be. Very curious and open t'the world it seems, I'm hopin' no one will use it t'take advantage of 'er some'ow."

She copied Faris, looking over her pretty green DS until she found the stylus and picked it out of its little spot, blinking and looking up at Faris when she said she'd played it already. Oh, really? Okay, no big deal. That just meant she could do exactly as she said! She could teach her! Evari grinned, lifting her head when Faris wiggled and then putting it back down when she stopped. Silly Rissy! "Mmkay! Show me show me~!" Evari chirped excitedly, turning on her DS and then watching her friend. This wasn't so bad, it was just a matter of remembering what button did what! She was excited about the picture chats, drawing a stick figure of Rissy and herself to test it and drawing a big heart between their heads. Drawing Faris was hard! But she managed to figure it out. Too bad she could only use black. After the fun with the pictochat she finally decided it was time to play the actual game, managing to figure out how to put the game in with Faris' help. Oooh! So they could race each other! Awesome! She looked through the selection of characters they could play, stopping when she spotted a really pretty blonde lady in a blue dress. Rosalina? Huh...well! She knew who she was playing now! She convinced Faris to play a couple practice rounds with her just so she could figure out how to even play the game. Gah! I-it was harder than the pictochat! It was definitely going to take some getting used to. "Okies! Let's play for reals now!" Evari sat up straight, wiggling in her spot. They'd played three rounds already, and so far Evari's best placement had been...14th. She could do it! It just took practice! "An' don't go easy on me!" It would be okay if it was Faris. She could compete with Faris without getting frustrated about losing. "Oh, really? Wow! You must make these a lot then if you have all the steps and measurements memorized!" But if she had to Xai would be sure to return the card! She would just copy it and study it on her own! She put the roll down a moment to sip at the tea, trying to copy the way Luis held hers so she could do it right. These teacups were oddly shaped! Nothing like she had at home. But she would adjust and adapt! Like she had been doing for all her time here on Gaia. Xai listened attentively to Luis' answer to her curiosity, sipping at the tea again and picking happily at the roll. It was so delicious if not a bit messy. "Well...if someone were to hurt her I am sure Evari would defend her. From what I've seen Evari likes her best." She chuckled, smiling warmly. "So she is a good girl? I'm glad. Evari is...quite hard to deal with sometimes..." But not all children were like that from what she had seen. Evari had met a few children, but she hit it off best with Faris. She was so happy about that!

((RND 1: Odds - Evari | Evens - Faris. Evari wins RND 1))
Faris giggled at the picture that Evari drew in pictochat and she returned the favor by drawing the two of them holding hands, though as far as stick figures go it wasn't anywhere as 'good' as Evari's but the thought was there! When it came time to test out the game she was very glad to jump at a chance to play with her best friend. She picked out a green dinosaur-like character named Yoshi just because she liked the name! It was fun to say and she kept chanting 'yoshiyoshiyoshi~.' It was fun racing against her friend even if it was just practice rounds and sure she didn't win all the time but she enjoyed it greatly and had a lot of fun and cheering even what she got a rather low placement, because she finished the race at all was a miracle!
"Kie~. Team Awesome go~," She cheered happily as she started a round on a new non-practice set of rounds. The first round Evari squarely kicked her tailed behind, which was the only person that counted in the whole thing, Faris was convinced that the computer-played characters cheated - it cheated a lot.
Luis nodded a bit, "I guess they are among the few things I enjoy makin' a lot," she chuckled softly as she picked her way through up until she had finished that one and then, unashamedly, reached out and snagged another one to eat. The only thing she loved more than making the food was eating it. The Satyress nodded at Xai's observation with a small smile, "Aye they're fast friends, those two. I don' see much draggin' them apart. It'd take an awful strong force to manage that. Faris loves Evari a great deal, talks 'bout 'er a lot."
Critter floated into the kitchen through a wall only to bonk face first into the wall directly across from where it floated in from, "Tee~! Tastesliketickles~."

((RND 2: Odds - Evari | Evens - Faris. Faris wins RND 2?)) Evari found it absolutely adorable that Faris kept chanting the name of her character, giggling and bouncing in her spot beside Faris. She couldn't exactly chant Rosalina as easily as Rissy. Maybe Rosie? Hmmm...that worked! But instead of chanting she sounded more like she was singing the name. She was very surprised to find she placed higher than Faris; it wasn't first place but it was certainly better than Faris' had been. Forget the characters played by the computer, they were dumb! Kept cheating and slowing them down and stuff! It wasn't fair. She'd just go by what her number was compared to Faris'. ...And right now Faris' seemed to be higher. Wha...b..but how? She was winning and then suddenly she wasn't! Heh. Fine, she'd let Rissy have this one. She'd blame the stupid banana peel she just hit and skidded off the track because of. Stupid bananas. She'd have to get her vengeance later by eating one or something. Team Awesome could just have a tie breaker on the next round. Maybe the winner could decide what they did next? She'd be perfectly fine with just playing more rounds of racing with her though! Xai chuckled, finishing her tea and focusing on also finishing her cinnamon roll. She could have more, right? She really liked these. "I'm glad. Maybe she can even out Evari...and Evari talked about nothing but Faris when they met! Faris this, Rissy that. Rissy, Rissy." It was rather cute! "I'm not sure I can remember a time she was so excited as she was today when they got to have this sleepover!" Something caught her attention, something not really part of the kitchen. A thunk? What was that? Xai looked up to watch the little smoke creature, gasping and nearly jumping out of her skin. Oh god! Oh god! Nutter followed her?! No! Not Nutter! He was going to eat Luis out of house and home! Oh, wait. Something about this one seemed...off... "Um...is...is he alright?"

((RND 3: Odds - Evari | Evens - Faris. Evari wins RND 3))
She almost had this round! Almost! Suddenly her kart got stuck on an oil slick and the next thing she knew she was never able to reclaim her spot again. Evari won once again in the end. Faris let out a small soft 'Pff!' though she wasn't displeased because she giggled a little afterward; she had simply been holding her breath the entire time and was letting it out. She relaxed after a few moments as she held aloft her handheld gaming system, "'Vari ist winna~. 'Vari gets a prize~! What does 'Vari wants?" Faris asked as she moved to hold the handheld level once more as she glanced over at her glowing friend with a bit of a tail twitch.
Whatever Evari wanted would be fine by her!
Luis nodded a bit and smiled. It was good that the girls were so excited to be together. It'd give them someone to lean on when they needed it most. She glanced over at Xai and noticed the other woman was sans cinnamon roll and nodded toward the other ones, "Feel free t'take more, no reason t'be shy!" the Satyress said cheerfully. Luis certainly wasn't shy, nope!
The redheaded woman glanced over at Critter and uttered a small sigh as she nodded, "Aye, he's fine," she smiled a bit, "Faris won't let 'im wander off. Concerned he might get hurt or somethin'."
Critter floated over to the women and just stared from one to the other before focusing on Xai, "... ... ...ohai. critterlikesthesmellofblooooothings."

Aw, man! She was gonna lose! Nonono she couldn't lose! Evari hated losing! It was about then that Faris got stuck and didn't seem to bounce back from it, wiggling with excitement as she whizzed right on past her in her car and managed to get the higher place. That meant she won! "Yaaaaaay!" Evari cheered as Faris congratulated her and informed her she was the winner, grinning excitedly at her friend. This was so much fun! Best. Present. Ever! She hummed and put her head on Faris' shoulder when asked what she wanted, playing around with the DS settings some more. What did she want? She had her Rissy, she had this awesome gift...what else was there to need? Her stomach answered for her by grumbling quietly, looking down at it a moment and then tilting her head back with it still on Faris' shoulder to look up at her again. "Lunch, pleeeeease!" She chirped, grinning. Something they could enjoy together! And she was really hungry.
"Alright! Thank you!" Xai happily grabbed another cinnamon roll, trying another method of tearing it apart by unrolling it bit by bit. Not completely but it was obviously shrinking in diameter! These rolls were a lot of fun for her, apparently. Her gaze turned back up to the other little smoke creature to watch him as he came closer to them, shying away instinctively. "O-oh? We have one...he won't leave. He lives in my fridge." She sighed a little at that, blinking and tilting her head. Whoa he also talked fast. What had he said? Wait... "...Colors...don't have scents..." Xai furrowed her brow at Luis, looking very confused. And he had said bumping into the wall tasted like tickles. None of that was right! W...was it? This was a different planet, after all. "As long as he does not try to chew on my head like Nutter he is alright."

Faris was obviously not as competitive as her glowing friend so she happily let Evari gloat in it for as long as she needed to and when it seemed that the gaming would be at a pause for now she shut the game down and set her DS off to the side as she looked thoughtful at Evari's prize request, seeming to draw it out more than need be. She reached up and tapped her chin before she nodded, "Okays!" she grinned as she slid off the bed and reached to grab Evari's hand to pull her after her so they could go down the stairs. "Foodfoodfood!"
"Mmm this'n usually sticks by Faris or jus' generally hangs out in the kitchen though he doesna'e eat much less Faris hands it to 'im. Thinkin' sometimes he even forgets t'eat or somethin'." Luis shrugged simply glad that her particular version didn't live in the fridge. That would ruin her business faster than she could bat an eye, and that would be horrible!
Critter continued to chatter at Xai as he slowly turned to float upside down, "weshallwedingloriousbliss," he mumbled dreamily as he made a heart symbol with his smoky fingertips.
Luis nearly choked on her tea as Critter said this and stared at the creature. She briefly wondered just how serious it was about that whole observation or perhaps it was just quoting things it saw around the tavern or on the television. She cleared her throat, "Don' let 'im scare ye off, love. He's just a wee bit untrained..."

Evari cheered and turned her DS off to set it to the side as well, holding Faris' hand when she grabbed hers and climbing off the bed with her. "Foodfoodfooooood~!" She chanted happily with her best friend as they hurried down the stairs again, through the tavern and into the kitchen area. Evari looked around with amazement, actually thinking she could possibly use the stuff here! It looked nothing like Xai's kitchen! She could actually read some of this stuff, and everything looked like the things on television. Usable! "What kinda foods should we get?" Because Evari would eat anything.
Xai made a sound of understanding at Luis' explanation on the eating habits of her own...Critter. How lucky, she would rather have this Critter over Nutter. Sigh. But it was wishful thinking, she wouldn't wish Nutter upon anyone else so she would just take one for the team. Damn. "Well he seems..." Her words trailed off as Critter spoke to her some more, trying to make out his words. We shall...o-oh? She blinked a few times and stared at the smoky creature with a fairly surprised and amused look, laughing good-naturedly and shaking her head even as Luis nearly choked. What a strange creature! "It's alright, he isn't scaring me. He's an odd little thing!" She chuckled, smiling.
Wait a second...Evari recognized that voice. She halted with Faris still attached to her hand and furrowed her brow, looking around the kitchen. Why did she hear Xai? Shouldn't Xai be gone? This was her sleepover with Faris! She didn't need to be here anymore she'd dropped her off and done her part! Oh, there she was. Faris' mom must have held her up. Well, there was no more reason for her to be here so she could go home now! Yup. Evari gently tugged Faris' hand to lead her over to the pair of mothers, blinking up at Xai. "Yer still here?" Well obviously. Xai's gaze was torn away from Critter to look down at Evari, smiling warmly and nodding.
"Just enjoying some tea and snacks with Luis before I go back home to Nutter." Evari didn't seem very convinced this was a good answer.

Faris giggled a bit as they entered the kitchen and moved toward the fridge and pulled it open, "We cans maaaaaaaake sammiches!" Faris offered as she took some things out of the fridge with which to make a sandwich and then moved to the cupboard to take out a bag of chips for them to share. She wasn't really allowed to use the stove just yet and she was just barely allowed to use a butter knife so that she could put on mayo or whatever else she could want on a piece of bread. So yes sandwiches would have to do for now.
The Nutbar floated off humming a content little song as he went along. Whatever Critter sought to achieve from this interaction it was what he wanted and now he was off to do something else, like floating outside to harass the wildlife.
Luis cleared her throat and nodded a bit, "'E is an odd one indeed, Lass. Glad he didn't make ye uneasy."
When Evari noticed that Xai still lingered Luis laughed a bit and shrugged her shoulders, "T's my fault. Thought maybe yer mum would want a few moments to relax instead o'dashin' off right away. As soon as she's done she'll be gone and then I'll start on makin' a cake for the both of ya for t'night."
Faris let out a small happy squeal at the mention of cake. YAY CAKE!

She was actually excited to make sandwiches with Faris, but then Evari was excited to do anything with Faris. Her Rissy could want to go sit and stare at a wall and she'd happy sit there...er...well...okay, she'd admit that just sitting and staring at a wall is just totally stupid and boring but it's her Rissy and she can do what she wants. But Xai was a completely different story. She was pouting a little when Luis explained why Xai was still here when it was just supposed to be her day with Faris, seeming to grudgingly accept these apologies. Guess Xai deserved a break...as long as she didn't try to take Evari home! She was sleeping with Faris, darnit!
The promise of cake helped.
Evari's eyes widened and she gasped, bouncing on her toes and clapping her hands. Cake! Yay! "Yaaay! Okay~!" She turned back to Faris with a squeal of excitement, still bouncing and holding both of Faris' hands in her own. "Les'make our san'wiches quick so we can have some cake!" Evari then leaned in to whisper to her best friend. "And then we can try readin' the tables." Since apparently Luis was going to be distracted with making a cake! It was the perfect opportunity! Xai chuckled at the girls excitement and turned back to Luis with a smile.
"Thank you for letting me stay and enjoy tea and cinnamon rolls, Luis~. I should probably head home soon before Nutter eats everything in the house." And that would be very bad.

Not that Faris would let Evari get taken away either. If she had to she would throw her first ever temper tantrum just to get her best friend to stay the night for real!
She held onto Evari's hands and bounced with her with a small happy keening exiting her lips before she paused to listen to the whisper. Faris let out a small giggle and nodded as she gently pulled her hands free and started to get out the rest of the things to make the sandwiches and even got out a couple of knives to help them spread the condiments on the bread. "Okay 'Vari! Sammich makin' timeses!"
Luis chuckled a bit as she watched the girls and then looked up at Xai before she gave a small nod, "Aye well, I'll be seein' ye another time I am sure, Darlin'. Been a real pleasure talkin' wi' ye." The Satyress stood and moved over toward Xai and opened her arms up for a hug. They were friends after all, and friends hugged.

Evari was more than happy to momentarily forget the adults in favor of making a sandwich with Faris, holding the knife with a funny look. It was a lot different from the knives at home...oh well! A knife was a knife, right? She hummed happily beside Faris until she realized something.. "I've never made a san'wich before!" Evari suddenly gasped, staring at the bread and condiments. This was both exciting and slightly confusing. She'd never made one before! Xai always made them for her so...how did you make one?! Maybe she'd just watch Faris make hers and then copy her? That sounded like a good plan. Because surely Faris would know best!
"You'll see me tomorrow, of course~!" Since Xai would have to pick Evari up, and they could hang out during that time! She had a feeling Evari wouldn't mind at all if Xai really took her time to relax before bringing her home considering who she was with today. She seemed to adore Faris a great deal, and got along with her better than any child she'd seen her play with so far besides Kay! What did they call themselves? Oh, right! Team Awesome! Haha. "It was very fun talking with you! And thank you for sharing your delicious cinnamon rolls with me! And the recipe~." Xai was definitely going to try it out, she just hoped that hers tasted half as good as Luis' did. She gleefully stood and returned the hug Luis was offering, giggling and letting her go after a few moments. Her first hug! Well, her first hug from someone other than Evari.
After releasing the hug Xai turned to pet Evari's hair, giving the girl an affectionate goodbye kiss on the top of her head. "Have fun, Evari. And be a good girl, don't drive Miss Luis too crazy~. I'll see you tomorrow." Evari blinked and looked up at Xai, grinning cheekily and giving a nod.
"Ookiiies. Byebye, Xai!" She chirped, waving to her as the alien began to make her way out of the kitchen. Xai waved to the three girls on her way out, humming happily on the way home. She'd just pretend she wasn't going home to a nutbar with a bottomless pit for a stomach. Siiiigh.

"Firrrrrrrrrst times for everythin'!" Faris chimed as she began to put everything together. She chattered along the steps to making the perfect sandwich at least what Faris viewed as the perfect sandwich. It included using at least ketchup and mayonnaise, a good helping of meat, and some lettuce and tomatoes (which were prepared by Luis earlier). There were of course a few other things as well but that was the most of what Faris chattered about. "Don't wannnnnnts to make a wimpy sammich. Nopes!"
Luis laughed and hugged tightly making sure that her friend had the recipe before she nodded, "T's no problem Darlin'. Enjoy tryin' the recipe," the Satyress said with a smile as she watched Xai then tell her daughter good bye.
Faris glanced at Xai and raised a hand to wave, "Bai'ee! Has fun Xai-lady! Thank yous for bringin' 'Vari over!"
She was such a good girl! Faris returned to making the sandwiches while Luis began to roam about to get the cake making implements ready. A part of the Satyress sincerely hoped the girls would opt to help her thus keeping them away from the tables or at least distracted.

Indeed! There was a first time for everything! And so far sandwich making was fun, she opted out of the ketchup but she did add everything else. Even a bit of extra meat to make up for the lack of ketchup. She nodded in agreement to Faris' statement about wimpy sandwiches, grinning ear to ear. It was just sandwich making but somehow Faris made it fun. "Yupyup~!" Evari chirped, pressing down on her sandwich a little as if that would help to make it easier to eat. Or something. Xai was gone and now she could have guaranteed uninterrupted fun with Faris. She'd never slept away from home before! This would be fun!
Evari finished making her sandwich and held it up with a happy noise, starving to death now. She was wasting away~! Oh noooooo! So hungry! If Evari didn't eat soon she'd diiiiie! The only remedy was to eat something immediately. She took the first bite out of her sandwich, the first sandwich she'd ever made on her own. It...it was good! She squealed with delight and wiggled a bit, eating another bite of the sandwich. So delicious! Eeeeeeeee! "What're we gonna do next, Rissy?" Since lunch had been her idea Faris could have the next turn. Xai didn't make her help around the house, it didn't occur to her to offer to help Luis make the cake.

Faris nodded and when the sandwich was done she stared over at Evari to see what she would do or just to watch her reaction. She noticed her friend had the most interesting reaction to things and it made it fun to observe her. She twitched her tail side-to-side as she giggled and then started to eat her own sandwich making content little sounds. Her wings flapped a bit as she swayed from side to side. That was a good sammich. She almost could have another one but first she'll see how full she was when she was done with the first one.
The Gargoyle paused at the question. Well, Evari had suggested that they could read the tables after this; she glanced at her mother who was watching them out of the corner of her eye. Faris smiled innocently over at her watchful Guardian and then shrugged her shoulders, "Could shows yas 'round the common rooms. Mama's got some neaaaaat-os tables theres."
Totally not obvious, nope!
Luis pursed her lips and suddenly suggested, "How about y'girls help me bake th' cake. Y'can lick the bowl and beater righ' af'er!" Anything to try and delay the inevitable.
