ShadowFlame1721 I honestly wouldn't expect Gaia to do anything about it unless you're buddy-buddy with them or if you're a legend. Take it from someone who knows, sent in a report around 14 months ago, and I have lost my confirmation code due to the corruption of my hard drive. I have been hacked before. It is terrifying to be logged out of your account, try to log back in, then you CAN'T. I sent an e-mail real quick then jumped on my mule to check my avi...well it was just what it looked like the day I joined Gaia, same for the gold amount. All in all, I lost (in today's values) almost 2 mil...I am just thankful I hadn't gotten too much yet. Anyways, this isn't about me. Just be wary. Great tip Alter, I personally use a series of numbers, two words that don't exist, then more numbers. NUMBERS ARE YOUR FRIENDS.
@Kitty: Thought they got you at first. Good precautions. 3nodding I lost my report number as well..PM an Admin they will look it up..just give them what account you sent the report in..and bing they will pm you the number ID..that Admin that lurks in the feedback forum is the best the rest just ignore you a**...

Lol edited a bit too late. Thanks for that information. But for now I'm just going to settle back and let all this mess blow over. The chances of getting items returned are even slimmer with all the chaos going on now. xD

I heard that it got people by "logging them out" it would just seem like they timed out or something similar where you then need to log back into you account. And once you log back in, it logs your keystrokes and gets your password then its too late..
I've been logged out of gaia mysteriously about 4 times today.. I dont log back in I delete my cookies then go on a mule account. I dont know what to do really but I change browsers if it keeps happening I never log back into my main after this. I log into an empty mule with a different password.

Oh no that logging out thing and then trying to log in again..and it says your password is wrong is a bug....technical bug..you can do password recovery and just get back in it's not a hack..I must of freak people out yesterday MY MULE didn't get hacked I just got kicked out and had to make a new password..it's a stupid glitch..

You might be on to something there my friend.
May I add this::
Most Vendors use Firefox, that does explain the MP Hackings.
The Exchanging Hacker could be a Mule doing the same, except maybe running it on their Profile, Setting the Item cheap in stores so that it will also bring in Price Checkers that will run for it quickly as they see it.
Its possible also that this new crap Pop-Up that has been going around all month is doing it, or as the pop-up comes up, could it be running a script that takes a short amount of time to finish, so that anyone who is AFK when it comes up....or is curious and lets it sit for a minute is in danger.
Im not too smart on how scriptors work, but....I guess anything is Possible!

Getting bumped off has been happening for years. The easiest precaution is to just click back to your homepage or some other webstie, then go back to GaiaOnline.com and poof, you're back at the correct log in page.

I already lost everything I had alittle while ago, and i just worked my way back to about what i had and i would die if i lost it all again. I just hope it gets fixed soon.

Zax::
I understand that feeling! I've been hacked quite a few times. My Last was December. I think I gave up Exchanging and Vending at the end of January. Mostly due to the Inflation taking place. Im actually glad I did!
Though I suck at both now!

Aeux Im not too smart on how scriptors work, but....I guess anything is Possible!
Let me educate you a little. xD Well, there's two types of scriptors (and then there's hackers xD) One type goes around in public places making things happen that shouldn't. (When is the last time you have gone to rally's? xD) The OTHER is literally a SCRIPTOR. He/she runs scripts to appear on your computer. A dangerous one on the mp came up for me about 4 months ago and came within about 30 seconds of getting A LOT of information. Luckily, scriptors are the dumbest smart people there are. To cure my curiosity, I screenied it and navigated through the maze to close the program out. ("Exit" "Are You Sure? Click OK to not not continue, or cancel to continue...blah blah blah" It's confusing.) Later I saw that the binary code that was supposed to be some of my information had 2s and 7s in it. xD Btw, Shutting off your computer will not necessarily always help you. If a script pops up, try closing it ASAP, if you cannot navigate through it, try task manager. Shut off your computer if these two do not work. Then, if you think it might be serious, contact banks, credit card co's, etc immediately. These people are dumb sometimes, but they *are* crafty.
How do I know this... I do my... "research". xDD

I was hacked recently, I dunno if I was a part of the mass hackings though. But I was hacked, I had a North Kitten Star in the MP +6mil on my account.
I'm just afraid to start vending again.

Love the thread Alter! <3
As a member of the crew, this is what I'm doing. I've dispersed my wealth between several accounts. Many that are unknown.
I've also switched to Chrome. For the time being. Though I'm kind of falling in love with it haha
I'm not exchanging, but I do run a charity. ^^ So hopefully that's not reason to hack me. That's kind of cruel :/
