He closed his eyes a moment and took a long, soothing breath. "Well, allow me to lay everything out on the table for you. Normally, to pay money for trash would be a rather amusing thought at best. But, let's think about it as a matter of convenience. For that reason alone, I am allowing myself to entertain the thought of paying for trash to be brought to my doorstep." He brushes a few silken stands of hair from his deep red eye, looking at the woman before him from over the top of his glasses. "But trash, at best, is cheap. Based on the market for such a thing, I would be considered paying the highest bid price. You will get 15 platinum per vermin I get on delivery. For that price I could get will trained slaves of almost any race, so the price is more than fair in your favor."
He leans back a bit in his seat, and with one delicate finger, pushes his glasses up a bit. "But, on the matter of my other 'test material' request...you would earn a sample of the finished product I am producing." His eyes narrow, a more grim expression washes over his features. "Have you ever felt jealous of those that become the Gods chosen ones? Those that are picked to have powers beyond all imagination? Then there are those that have to work restlessly, day in and day out. Those that spill blood and tears for even a tenth of that kind of power. Then there are those that have no means of gaining even a small taste of that kind of power. I want to cure all that...I am conducting an experiment that gives even the powerless the power of a High Priestess under Llolth, or equivalent rank under another God. The effects are only temporary, but I have already made progress." He makes a long, aggravated sigh. "But, for the time being, there are side effects, and the amount of 'fault blessings' I can create are limited. That is where you come in. You give me what I need to make Fault Blessings with minimal to no side effects, and I will give you a finished sample." He holds up one finger and smiles. "Each sample gives you full control over god delivered magic and physical prowess for one hour" He moves up two more fingers, now showing her three of his digits. "In addition, each sample is three doses. With something like that in your pocket you won't have much to fear. For each servant of the Gods you give me, you will get one sample."
He lays his hand back on the arm of his seat and grins. "Well now...with all that out in the open...do we have a deal?"

Irrafay face was one of calm calculation as she heard of the possibilities she could gain. The offer was tempting, but still...
"I can deliver the trash, but I have no interest in musking about with chosen. As you mentioned, they are gifted for their devout actions and those are rather annoying to deal with. Plus they are rarities, getting one would take to much work."
She sighed woe be gone leaning back in her seat, "To have grained those powers,...but the cost of getting the favored are a might to high for what I would get for it." She looked at his, hoping he might raise the pay fee.

She was reasonable, he was ready to respect that. Although, her lack of greed made her a little less useful than he hoped. "Alright then, the offer of fifteen platinum stands as is. As I said, that is a high price for what I'm getting. You will be paid on delivery, try to space out drop off times and keep your visits to my estate randomized to keep away unwanted attention. If you wish to take my offer, then payment will always be ready. I trust our transactions will be kept secret, the Lord of this city would be rather upset if he was wise to my efforts. I also doubt he would be too happy with you if he knew you were helping my research in any way, so it would do you just as much good as me to keep this quiet. But, I suppose it would be good of me to give you more incentive." He dug around in his pocket and pulled out a very small vile. "This is one dose of Llolth False Blessing...It does have side effects...the most tragic being death...the most common being a non-reversible addition of spider like eyes and legs all over the body...most unbecoming to view to say the least...use it how you wish."

Irrafay merely smiled. "Of course. But then again why would the Lord of the City inquire into a little business like mine." Her eyes considered him for a minute before saying, "I'll see that the first vermin's are delivered soon then." She stood and then walked slowly around the desk. "I'm happy for the gift," She stated taking it in her hand, then cutting a glance at him."I know the perfect use for it."
She placed it on the desk with turning away from her slightly disappointing guest and banged on the table twice. The door swung open to reveal a young male drow with short dye blue hair. "Ah, Nym...excellent. Would you mind leading our guest down stairs. If you wouldn't mind, it would look better if you leave the same way you came in."
The youth nodded. She then turned to the guest and gave what should have been a sweet smile. However, it twist that seemed more scheming then sweet.

Llmryn was the kind kind of drow that could talk a dwarf into sipping poison like it was sweet nectar. His tongue could weave words finer that any spider could weave it's silk. But, what use is this skill if you can't tell someone what they want to hear? He didn't just spout sweet words, he read others to know what they wanted, or needed to hear. That smile, was one he is used to seeing...even sick of seeing sometime...
"Ah yes, very well. No need to rouse suspicion, Goddess knows I have caused enough just being here." He looked at the male, with eyes that looked like they would eat him alive. "Well then, see me out..."

Irrafay watch the Lord of the Fourth House leave, and nodded for Nym to close the door, which he did. With a sigh she leaned back against the desk. "Well, well, well, a special gift. What will you do with it?" said a voice behind her.
Irrafay didn't turn to looked him, but instead just snorted. "I plan to express for my fondest wish upon a certain group. Whether it turns them into vermin or not I don't care, but it will do the job."
Valdaer smirked as he turned the small vial back and forth in the faerie fire glow. "It would be interesting. Want to beat on it?"
"Hmm...I take transformation," Irrafay turned around eagerly.
Valdaer pouted and then sighed as he took the chair behind the desk, "That leave me with the other. evening duty for two cycles straight owed to the winner!"
"Deal," she said. "Though, what do we do with the Eyed One. Surly it will know of this?"
Valdaer sighed and then tapped the desk gently with the vial. Both thought it over. Before Irrafay stated, "I can handle the situation. Though I need something from you. Do you still know where those things are located? I..."
"I understand. I overheard." Valdaer getting up from the chair heading to his sister's side."Don't worry about the meeting. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it."
Irrafay smiled and then patted the hand he had rest on his shoulder, "I think we should go handle our plotters then."
As they head for the secret door, Valdaer shook his head, "I'm surprised that we have some already. We must be doing well for plotter to appear so soon."

As they moved to leave, something else moved as well. It was unseen to the eyes, but its movements made noise on the floor, giving just a tiniest of warning before its body stepped in front of them, blocking the exit. If they push or make contact, it feels like a gelatin substance, but firmer. Its voice is bubbly, as if from the bottom of a wet well and its dialect of undercommon seems strange. "Lord Druug'iir sends welcome, it seems you've garnered the attention of a few people. Don't be alarmed, I'm just another servant, not so unlike you.. given life from nothingness, I serve our Patron as you do.
As you've yet to check in with him, I was dispatched to check on your progress. So, aside from that little vial and your deal with Val' Rilyniryn, what have you been up to?"

Valdaer stepped back avoiding Irrafay's back step. He shivered from the voice, as if it was a slimy thing let lose on his skin. Irrafay on the hand, only need a moment to settle back into her skin, before she allowed a thoughtful look to grace her face.
"Ah, so the City Lord hasn't forgotten about us, that is nice to know. As for what we've been up to. We've set up a strong network of thieving spies. Each have gotten into the base root of what...6 out of 8." She glanced back at him. Her posture seemed calm and reserved, but her eyes showed her need for forth assistances.
"Yes...We've also have new on the action of those thief guilds. It appears that 4 guilds have join into one and are competing for control of territory with other guilds," Valdaer shifted to the side of his sister. "The have also been a few problems with the independent raiding groups. This means that the will be more competition in the thieves world. As well as a lot of people trying to get into Houses."
Irrafay nodded her head tilted toward him,"As for those House. Hlairyn have begun to experiment and create different types of magical works. They aren't making weapon, but items that should hit the high price market soon. The Deghym seem to recruit and training. The Oussana...I'm not sure about. There isn't much. We're also keeping an eye on the Val'Rilyniryn by breaking a deal. Oh, the captains of at least three ships are quarreling the a main merchant house. That is also slowing trade, thought it shouldn't last. I heard the merchants daughter is going to kill him soon. And I think that is it." She cut a glance towards her brother.
He shook his head, he was dry. Or rather that was as much confirmed information he had. He put the vial and his hand into one of his pockets. He glanced at the servant waiting to see if what they had was enough.

A soft sound bubbles up as the creature steps forwards, its unseen form trembling softly as it communicates with its master. Abruptly it lets out a soft hissing sigh, then steps aside. "Lord Druug'iir says you have done well. He bids you to push for the guilds that want to form up and discourage those who want to just join houses. Perhaps you might form a guild of your own if you wish it.
The houses are strengthening themselves, it is common knowing what is about to come, but keep your eyes out for the strays and the interlopers, Undead especially.
In regards to Val'Rilyniryn and your deal, he has no problem with it, but the sample will be needed for study. Kindly lay it on the table before you leave. Your payment for services thus far can be found under a large rock just outside the gate to his estate. Its hidden within a broken mushroom cap.. he is doubtful anyone would look as its a stinkhorn and smells rather badly to you mortals, but you might want to check soon regardless"

Valdaer cut a quickly glance towards his sister and then removed the vial from his pocket.
"It appears will have to deal with the plotters another way," He whispered holding out the item towards the vague directions of the creature.
Irrafay didn't say anything, she just frown and gave a curt nod. "I shall have a trust being go and get the payment."
The simple response told Valdaer two things, but he didn't dwell on it for long. In stead he waited the servant to leave so that he could enjoy the pain he was going to inflict of their plotters.

A soft sound bubbles up once more as the creature steps forwards, taking the vial with its unseen hand. As contact with the vial is made, it vanishes from sight, but in its place another larger vial of some dark liquid rolls across the table towards them. "Lord Druug'iir did not wish you to feel taken advantage of. That is a poison from the abyss. Its lethal on contact or ingestion. Magical defense has no effect on its potency either, however some creatures native to the abyss are immune to it so be warned. Use it however you like, in keeping with the terms of your pact.
Should you need contact with my Lord once more, just tap the scale and say his name. Someone will be sent to you immediately.
Dark Deeds drow.."
As abruptly as it had arrived, so it vanished. No sound, nor scent of it remained. The vial lay rocking gently on the table in its absence, drawing attention like a foul intruder.

Valdaer snatched the larger vial. He frowned slightly his eyes taking in the dark liquid. From the abyss, huh? He turned back to the creature. Only to see the vague shadow had disappeared.
Irrafay simply stood there, she hands clamped on either elbow. Her head tilted forward, "We have to go down soon. Our devoted Cook will have the drinks set up for us." She smirk and glanced at Valdaer. "I hope it kills them slowly. Those death are the most entertaining."
Valdaer felt his lips part revealing his crooked, yet white teeth spread out in a wolfish smile of delight. He gave a silent chuckle as he following after his sister, into secret passage. "Well we can try it out first. Or maybe we can experiment put some into their food or drink and watch to see which one is more interesting."
He closed the door on Irrafay's dark chuckle.

Shortly after the shade had departed, Negai slipped into the tavern and took a seat. His eyes were sore, the connection was never meant to be used to often in such a short time but the guildmaster wanted information and Negai was the closest agent to the establishment. This was not a mission of stealth and so his cloak proudly displayed the mark of Xukuth D'Roesor. Ironclaw wanted the guild's power to be well known..if somewhat underplayed or exagerrated.
Witha characteristing grumble, the Deuregar pulled a pipe from his pocket and smoked quietly as he waited to be served.

T’riss pushed off against the counter of the bar. She had been in charge since boss lady had gone up stairs. Meal and home, that all she was waiting for. And then the costumer came in. She slump slightly and then straighten, dusted off her skirt and then walked over. "Greeting Jabbuk, how can I help you?" She asked holding her tray out in front of her.
