"Very fun," Robin agreed. She recognized that look in Blanche's eye. Expressions, for the most part, seemed to be cross-cultural; and that little gleam that one got when contemplating how to bend the rules, stir the pot, add a bit of interest into the day.
Mr. Gordon was obviously a lot cooler than Robin had even thought, if he was classy enough to associate with this girl.
"But look - you want to practice English, right? You and I ought to get together sometime! We can talk or watch movies--" or plan out ways to use Blanche's closeness to Mr. Gordon for the great cause of shits and giggles -- "and it'll be fun!" This last part was the most honest, and certainly said with the most enthusiasm. Grinning broadly, Robin tweaked a strand of her hair and added, "besides which, like Serah would say - you're a Pink Comrade. We've gotta stick together, you know!"

Comrade would have also been an odd word, but this was another that she appropriated quickly into her vocabulary due to constant usage by her roommate. Lifting one of her own incredibly long strands of pink hair, Blanche silently compared the two and was privately pleased that hers was still more lurid than Robin's. Still, it was pleasant to see another with her particular hair tone, they'd been rare to her eyes before coming to Destiny City! It never occurred to Blanche that perhaps it might be odd, a woman of her 'age' hanging out with high schoolers as she eagerly nodded.
"Yes! Oh yes! Sixteen Candles, or maybe Princess Bride? I like that one much!" Lighting up at the second one, which after seeing the first time she'd demanded they watch at least five more times in rapid succession, she had adopted the saying 'as you wish' to Ray when feeling jovial. Personally Blanche thought she was being subtle. If she knew that the English teacher saw through her and her pathetic crush, it would have broken her tiny heart - which was of course why nothing was ever said. "Do you like that one?" She hoped desperately Robin did, though was it really learning if you watched the same movie over and over?

"Princess Bride? Oh my god, YES!" This warranted a happy gasp, even a little clap of Robin's hands. Who in their right mind didn't adore the Princess Bride? Robin remembered a project she'd done for the fourth grade, where everyone had chosen a movie from a list and acted out a scene. In their little group of four girls, everyone had agreed to pick the Princess Bride; and while the others had bickered over who was going to get to be Princess Buttercup, Robin had laid claim to the role of Westley. Robin maintained to this day, she would make the best Dread Pirate Roberts ever.
This agreement demanded a trade of phone numbers, of course - Robin didn't explain that she would need to find out whether she was grounded or not before planning a movie night, but alluded to mysterious scheduling challenges - after which, Robin gleefully clicked her phone shut and replaced it in her pocket. "Okay! So I'll give you a call this weekend, and we can pick a day," she determined. "It's getting late, though - I'm gonna be in real hot water if I don't get home soon. It was real nice to meet you, Blanchu!"
A grin, a wave, and then Robin was standing and heading off. Already, she was arranging her excuses. She'd already picked out the perfect line to deliver as she walked in through the door: Sorry I'm late, Mom, but I was working on English with a friend of Mr. Gordon's! It was technically true, even! Not that her mother would ever buy it... but if anyone had a chance of selling the story, it would have to be Robin!
