Eden shook her head. "No. They were murdered on the reservation by the guards who hated our kind." She twitched lightly, remembering it all.

Evan looked at Eden, eyes shimering with unshed tears. "Thats horrible." She muttered then looked at her lap. "To lose any loved one is hard."

She nodded. "That's why I keep my skin pale. No one assumes that I'm a native. I know around here they don't care. But there are people who would murder me on sight."

Evan scowled. "Thats stupid." She spat out. "Skin isn't something to get angry about. its about the person underneath. Native people are still people."

Evan's brow knited. "I..." She trailed off. "Thats still a stupid reason." She said at last. "But at least they think they have a reason.

Evan looked down at the ground. "Killed.... well murdered by a couple of guys." A tear fell from her eye then she blinked the rest away. "Its like it happened yesterday." She muttered as images of the men slicing her fathers throat then beating and raping her mother came to her mind. She could still feel the pain of the beating, and the feeling of the cold night as one of the guys dragged her six year old self out into the forest where she was found, barely alive the next morning. "It was horrible." She added to the end of her story.

Evan let her head fall onto Eden's shoulder. "No." She replied. "They were wearing masks and gloves. They were good at what they did." She also remembered how they used a condom so no semen would be left either. She sighed. "I wish they had ******** up so they would have been caught."

Eden grinned. "There are always tracks left behind. Even years later." She brushed her fingers through the girls hair. How long ago was this? And where did it happen?"
