Ty listened plainly to Alex’s response and her condition. He hadn’t planned on removing her forever. He had a good thing going with work, and so much of that s**t could be done online now, he didn’t think him staying here for a while would be a problem. But he couldn’t just buy everything he needed. And he did need to talk to his boss in person.
If Lucia could stay with Alex for a while that would be perfect. And Zul could take care of her too. ”I can tell you that Rei does not want it to be permanent. She wants to take care of Lucia; though it’s plain she can’t right now, she will be back to do so as soon as she can.
And like I said, I just need to get down there a while to take care of work s**t and make arrangements. Once I do that, we can come back here as soon as she’s able.” Or maybe before then, he reasoned, knowing how driven his sister was.
But he didn’t miss any of the air of professionalism – including the idea that Yuurei might be removed as an owner. ”We will be back. Just don’t take Lucia away from Rei. Seriously, she’s been through so much. But I had to convince her that she wasn’t able to go looking for the raven. It wouldn’t help her to take Lucia away.” Ty shifted on the couch and pulled folded leather out of his pocket. A Legend of Zelda wallet was in his hand as he opened it and pulled out a card. The cards were typically reserved for bar nights and hot chicks, it worked well enough for this situation.
Slipping his wallet back into his back pocket, he settled back on the couch. ”Here,” he said, handing her the card. ”That has my mobile’s number on it. It’s international and you can call it if there’s any news with Lucia. I’m sure Rei would want to know anyway.
If we need to come back early, just let me know and we’ll be back in a flash. I fly so we don’t even need to wait for a plane.” He sighed softly, imagining the 4 AM phone calls that always happen when people in Gaia try to contact him. No one realizes what time zones are. ”But that should solve any problems we might have.”

A faint smile ticked the corner of her lips as Alex nodded her understanding. "I don't want to take Lucia from Yuurei," she admitted lightly, "I just have to look out for both of them. I'm glad...she's sticking it out." The Italian had seen Raevans abandoned and left for dead for lesser reasons; that the petite blonde was willing to hold her obligation as Guardian, even after this, meant a lot to her and spoke well of Yuurei in her opinion.
The smile frozen before beginning it's slow trek across her face again, wider and with a large serving of amusement as her green eyes fell upon his wallet. Dear goodness, could this man be any more charming? Alex barely stifled laughter as she accepted the card, nodding and trying to wrestle her grin down. "Thanks. I'll call you guys the second I know anything. Likewise--" The woman leaned back and lifted her hips, drawing her own wallet out of her back pocket - it wasn't anything fancy, just some very worn leather - before settling against the cushions and flipping it open, withdrawing her own card.
She handed it over to the man, nodding towards the small material, "--my cell is on there and it's always on. Don't hesitate to use it." The card actually had nothing to do with the Lab and everything to do with her full-time job - it clearly stated 'Dr. Alexandria Vizcatti-Falcone' with 'Department of Zoology' beneath. "Lucia will be well taken care of, I promise. You guys take as much time as you need." Alex smiled again, her expression touched with relief. Lucia would still be able to call this place home.

Ty nodded his thanks at her understanding. Brushing his blonde hair out of his eyes with the back of his hand, he let out a soft sigh. Alex was certainly easier to work with than he expected. All of these Gaians were business first. Not friendly at all. Angry people. Like that Gambino guy. But Alex seemed nice enough. Maybe he could deal with living in Gaia for a while if she was indicative of the types of chicks here.
His bright green eyes glanced at the card she handed him and his eyebrows raised, a bit impressed. A doctor…he’d slept with doctors. Some did some crazy s**t in the sack. But a Zoologist. He’d never had one of those before, he thought appraising her silently. Then again, now wasn’t really the time to worry about that.
”I’ll give you a call. And yeah, keep me updated with any news about her.” He could worry about it once they got back, he thought, looking at the Italian. He appreciated her help.
As much as he liked looking at her body, it was probably time to pack up and get Yuurei ready to fly. ”Well, I should probably rest up too before the long flight back home. Call me whenever you want. Or if you ever want a trip to Aussie, let me know. I can be a hospitable host.” He smiled charmingly and stood up, leading the way to the door.

The Italian laughed softly under her breath at the raise of his brows, mostly certain what the reaction was for. She really needed to get some cards for the Lab made for herself and Zeke. Deciding she'd put in an order when she got back, she stood with the Aussie and followed him to the door, sparing him another brief glance. They sure knew how to raise them down under! Alex grinned a little to herself and shook her head; how far she'd come, from blundering idiot to being able to hold a conversation without her foot magnetizing to her mouth! Would wonders never cease!
"Give my thanks and regards to Yuurei," she said as they reached the door, turning to face Ty and take his hand again. Uttering a short sound of amusement, the woman stepped forward and gave him a brief hug about his shoulders. "We're all family in this," she explained, "so, though it's under a dark cloud...welcome all the same, Ty. Take care of Yuurei for us, and I'll do the same for Lucia." Alex gave him an encouraging smile, the tension leaving her shoulders a bit. Yuurei would be well taken care of; now she had to hold up her end of the bargain.
Taking a few steps out, she turned and waved his card at him. "We'll see about that visit when its all said and done. I could use a vacation." The grin she gave was entirely earnest and hardly teasing - Alex wouldn't know what it meant to really flirt if her life depended on it - before a wave followed suit and she began to jog towards the truck, hoping that her part of the agreement could be upheld. Only time would tell, now...
