Wingu watched her dash off and then return with the shell rock. Lowering his head he took a good look at the spiral pattern that she indicated. Well this certainly wasn't a normal everyday rock that he would trip over - or perhaps it was but he had never taken the time to bother to look at rocks that he tripped over. Reaching out with his paw, claw drawn out he touched the spiral pattern much like she had. How interesting. When he decided to see what she meant about it being heavy like a rock and not light like a shell.
Carefully he picked up the rock, not wanting to break it. It certainly was heavy like a stone. Setting the rock back down he glanced up at the lioness. "It is heavy like a rock!" He exclaimed, smile plastered across his maw. "What do you do with the bone-rocks after you find them? Do you collect them?" Surely she didn't just put them back where she found them. "I wish I could touch clouds like you can touch rocks."

"So far, no. I've been meaning to get a pouch to carry them in, but I keep forgetting. So I just leave them where they are." She shrugged. "I can always find my way back to the really good ones. They're rocks, it's not like they're going to run off. Er, again."
She peered up at the clouds skeptically. "I wonder if you can touch them." I mean, if you could reach them. Maybe birds can touch them. I wonder what they feel like." She pondered the strange notion for a long moment, but was distracted by a rumble in her belly. "And that's the signal for breaktime," she laughed. "Time to go fetch some food and then get back to work, or I'll never find anything good." She gave her companion a grateful nod of her head. "Thanks for listening to me talk, and for teaching me about clouds. I'll definitely have to think about them further." As she turned to pace off in search of prey, she called over her shoulder, "You can hold onto that shell if you like! Maybe start a collection of your own!"

"If the birds can touch the clouds then I wish I could be a bird, if only for a day." He told her as he glanced up at the sky as well. When she told him it was time for her to go he was a bit saddened, but perhaps he could speak with this lioness again sometime. All he would need to do was follow of trail of holes right? "I really enjoyed talking with you Coryth."
His smile broadened when she told him he could keep the shell rock. "Oh thank you! I will take good care of it." Wingu stated as he glanced down at the rock. "I do hope we can meet again, I could tell you all about the clouds!" Bending his head his carefully picked up the shell rock and turned to head back home. Only this time he would do his best to keep his eyes focused on what was ahead of him and not on the clouds, if only so that he didn't trip and break this new treasure. Mama would be so happy to see him bring a treasure like this so show her. And so he padded off slowly, thinking that this had been a good day.
