"Oh I get plenty. From family." she rolled her eyes. "Which either means I just did something horribly excruciating, like sitting for the brats at their worst, I'm being buttered up, or if it's from one of the brats, I'm either being made fun of or set up for something." she gave a wry grin. "Never had much interaction with anyone who didn't want something from me. You know, anyone who wasn't family."

She considered for a moment, "My family is very free on compliments. Though meant sincerely, they're compliments aren't what I want."

"They say that I'm lovely and that I'm such a nice girl. But they compliment me because they're family and it's expected of them." She sighed as she flipped her tail again.

She snorted a bit. "If some one is going to give you a hard time for being different, they will even if you're exactly the same. Some one who isn't going to care isn't going to care even if you had two heads and ten eyes. You are who you are. Don't waist time wishing you were some one else." Ugh. She was getting preachy. She blamed the boys. They always did that to her when she watched them.

Maritsa shrugged her shoulders, she just hated to be different from her siblings. Attention was alot to live up to, but she shook it off. "Likely so, but you're right. I am who I am." She sipped her drink again.
