"It's okay. You don't have to." Ebby assured him, carefully rubbing Cel's belly and smiling.
"So you two play together then? That's good." she was quickly running out of topics to talk about, but felt she should at least stay and be friendly for a while.

"Well, yeah. If I didn't have Cel to play with, I'd be bored all the time. We like to play tag best!" Ferox nodded in a sharp affirmation. "Cel's faster, but I can climb trees and he can't catch me then."
Cell let out a huff, finally cracking open an eye to peer at Ferox. "Cheater."
Ferox stuck his tongue out at the jivvin. "'s not cheating! Is it, Ebony-lady?"

"It makes you almost even." Ebony commented with a laugh, a little surprised by the Jivven speaking but not too phased - she'd seen talking critters before. "Though it might be cheating just a bit." she teased, "only if you stay up too long though."
After a little while, the woman stood. "Well I have to be going about now. It was really nice meeting you." she said, reaching into her pocket to pull out a ten to pass to Ferox. "Get yourself some food, hm? I hear there's cheap pizza down the street."

"See?" Ferox chirped, puffing out his narrow chest as he grinned down at Cel. "Its not cheating that bad! And daddy says sometimes you have to play a bit dirty." Obviously this had been a bit of a debate between the two for a while.
As Ebony handed Ferox the ten-dollar bill, he brightened up like it was Christmas. "Oh wow! Thanks, Ebony-lady!" He'd never seen a whole TEN DOLLARS before. How cool! "You have a nice day!"

"You too hon. And be good." she said, patting Cel one last time then standing up to hug Ferox and wave to Leraje before leaving. That'd been a strange meeting but she'd had worse.
