Seth sighed impatiently as she continued to ask her questions. The fingers of his free hand drumming irritably on the exam table that the Luxray laid on. She was obviously new here.
"Unfortunately," he admitted, his frown remaining.
"I'm Elite Agent Seth. But you'll refer to me as, sir."
Where was that damn doctor? He wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible, and she was not going fast enough.
His eyes turned back towards the door the doctor had exited from, as if mentally willing her to return.

Hands clench on the edges of the table when she hears he's an elite. slipping off of it again to stand on her own feet, out of respect. "Understood, my apologies sir" she said quickly. She was off her game today, she knew he was high rank, even if she didn't know how high. but geeze... if he was an instructor she feared being taught by him... but then again, seeing how impressive his pokemon looked... his teachings must be worth it. she wnated to keep quiet. wanted to just keep her mouth shut, get her Umbreon and go back to her room, leave the commander in peace. but. "Sir... can I ask you a question?" she said, throwing all her caution to the wind, straightening her back, trying to put strength in her shoulders. looking squarely at him.

Despite her apology and the show of respect, it didn't seem to appease Seth's irritation. His head was starting to throb, and it only made his mood even worse. He was exercising great patience, considering.
"What now?" he snapped, wondering what on else this grunt could possibly want to know.

She winced slightly, but just shook it off with a small frown. Everything was telling her to stop, this man was dangerous, but how was she going to bet better if she just hit away from everything that was scary here. this was Team Rocket! everything about Team Rocket was scary! she wasn't though! and that was a problem. she quickly tried to word her question. "Sir, I've never trained pokemon before recently. needless to say, I don't know much. I know this might be out of line, but I humbly ask that you consider training me, even just a little" there was a stiffness in her voice when she asked this, she was nervous, but also genuine determination. whether or not that was a mask for her potential let down, or scolding was up to debate.

This girl had a lot of gall, asking him to train her, especially now of all times.
"Why the hell should I?" he asked, and not in a friendly tone.
He certainly had no obligation to, unless she was assigned to him. She could be a worthless grunt that would never make it up to the next rank for all he knew, and he wouldn't give a damn either. What made her think she was worth his time?

Because she needed his help, but that probably would sound pretty damn weak, as true as it was. looking over his pokemon again, then back at him. "Because that." she said, looking over at the Tyranitar "is the most amazing thing I've ever laid eyes on, someone who can train a dark type so well, has to know how to be able to help me. otherwise I'm going to be stuck the same clueless trainer I am now." She knew dark types, but mostly in theory, from pages in books. but she didn't know how to take what she knew, and use it properly. She saw dark types, and she saw what they were capable of, but she's never seen a dark type like that tyranitar, it oozed power. "I didn't come here to sit around hoping to become better, I can learn from you, I know I can. I can be the best damn student you have! I'm willing to work long and hard, and I can, I will, if you would let me... s Sir!"

After that... there was silence. Whether Seth was considering her words, or even heard them, was questionable as he just sat there with an annoyed, closed eye expression.
That changed though when the doctor walked back in with Faleen's Umbreon. "Here we are. There is a slight fracture, just as I thought, but its not serious." She put the Umbreon back on the table. Its leg already having been cleaned up and dressed properly. The doctor then handed a bottle over to Faleen. "An anti-biotic for the infection, and it should help the pain as well. Keep him off his feet for a couple days and come back to see me in a week. And no battling until I say so."
With that, she made her way back over to Seth, who looked up at her, his expression unchanged. Moving the hand and the cloth from his head, she noted the bleeding had stopped and then applied a butterfly bandage to the cut. She also placed a bottle of pills in his hand. "You'll want those tomorrow. Trust me. And here's some more of that Rock Hard salve."
Seth rose to his feet, but the doctor wasn't done with him yet. "And I don't want to see you here again for at least another week. Because that's how long you and your Pokemon will be on medical leave."
"WHAT." Was Seth's incredulous response.
The doctor huffed. "Don't even try to fight me over this. You and your Pokemon need some time to rest and heal up. I've already sent the order to your superior."
Seth scowled. "I don't have time to be taking leave!"
"You have no choice!"
The elite gritted his teeth. "Fine. Two days."
The doctor sighed heavily and shook her head. "Four days and not a day less! Now get out of here."
With that she turned and started to leave, a triumphant smirk on her face once her back was to him. She had intended for him to take four days to begin with. Pokemon heal much faster than people after all.

She watched him for a long moment after she spoke, not sure if she expected him to say anything or not. Letting herself just believe that he was thinking about it… she hoped anyway. Upon the interruption though, her attention was pulled back to her Umbreon, sighing softly and looking over his cleaned wound. No battling… great, he was her best pokemon, what was she going to do with him out of commission. “understood…” she replied, looking down at the bottle that was handed to her, reading over the directions a couple of times before she glanced over at her and Seth, seeing her pleased expression when she got four days out of him. “Are there any kind of exercise Umbreon can do while he’s like this? I would hate to just have him sit around all week…” she asked as the doctor passed.
Umbreon didn’t look pleased at all, lying on the table, draped toward his good side to keep the pressure from his shoulder. Brow furrowed, he looked over at the other pokemon, pleased at least he’s not the only one in the room that’s not allowed to do anything.

"After the two days that he's off his feet you can walk or run him at your discretion to keep his strength up. But if he looks to be in pain or his limp gets worse, then he needs to take it easy. Don't push him, otherwise it'll take even longer to heal."
With that, the doctor left.
Seth was already busy returning his Pokemon to their respective Pokeballs and replacing them all on his belt.
He said nothing to Faleen, and then started to leave. Except that he paused at the doorway with sigh. "I'll change your instructor assignment. But don't think that I'm doing you a favor! If you screw up, you're going back." This all said without even turning to look back at her, and once it was done, he left without another word.

She nodded to the instructor, smiling softly in relief, good, he wasn't restricted to the bed. thanking her quietly. and with one more glance over her shoulder, she returned her attention to her Umbreon, reaching up to rub both his ears with her hands, causing him to tilt his head up and close his eyes.
when Seth started walking past her she shifted, looking over at him as he started to leave, feeling that uncomfortably churning in her stomach before she heard what he said. she opened her mouth, eyes growing wider in surprise. before she managed to speak a quick "yes sir! thank you sir!" before he left. pulling her hands off her Umbreon, clenching them into fists over her shoulders and closing her eyes tight. oh my GOSH, he was giving her a chance, this was so amazing! this was her opportunity, she couldn't COULDN'T screw this up! turning back to her Umbreon. "come on boy, we've got to get you rested up." she said to him with a smile when she saw the puzzled strange look he was giving her. returning him into his pokeball, and strapping it back into place on her thigh, she left the infirmary.
