"I hope so," Vincent said, looking rather guilty. "I didn't mean to ditch you like that, though... Lissy and--well... It just kind of happened." He wasn't exactly sure if he was comfortable around Lissy, even. She made him pay for things.
"Do you think we can still be friends? I know I'll make a better friend to you than I was a boyfriend."
