"I can see it too...think it means something?" Rune wondered out loud. He could already tell that Scarlet was going to be a very good friend - perhaps more. He quickly shook that idea out of his mind, telling himself that he was rushing things that should develop by themselves. Still, he couldn't help but hoping...maybe she was the one?

"Maybe....." Scarlet answered so soft it seems like she is talking to herself rather than Rune.
Actually, the time when she first saw him, she had a strange feeling...a feeling...that's very hard to admit.
She keep reminding herself that they didn't know each other for very long to even have this feeling.
But she can't just help it....she likes him?!
'Don't rush it, I'm sure it's only me, he's not feeling it' she reminded herself.

Rune noticed that he had made the atmosphere a little...awkward, so he quickly changed the subject. "Say, Miss Scarlet," he began, trying to think of something random. "Have you got a special someone?"
He blinked and then muttered a curse under a breath, wishing he hadn't blurted something to obvious out there. "I mean, family and stuff, you know..." he amended.

"Uh?" Scarlet didn't quite listen for a moment there..luckily she caught some of what he was saying.
"Oh..nope...no,I don't have any.You?" she said a bit slow and shy that she was caught lost in her thought.

"No, I don't have anyone either," Rune replied slowly, mulling over some things in his head. There had been someone before - a long, long time ago, but she was long gone. He wondered if the void in his heart would ever be filled. "Oh, enough silly questions from me; have you got anything to discuss?"

Scarlet sensed something at his reply,but ignored it.
"Hmm..so,you.. What thing do you like? I mean, you're favorite food , color and stuff..." she said. She had always been bad with starting a topic..and this time, it's the same.

Rune smiled. "Well, my favorite food would definitely be pasta. I don't know why, but I really love Italian food..." He looked over at Scarlet, wondering if they shared the same tastes. "As for color, mine's blue. As you can probably already tell, I got lucky with my fur color."

"REALLY?! I like Italian food too...Hmmm...talking about food really makes me hungry..."Scarlet looked around to see anything they can eat.And looked at Rune again when he said something.
"Oh, I thought so. I like purple-ish color. Hmmm, our taste are almost the same..." she said replied.

"How about we go somewhere and find a quick snack to eat?" Gazing around the wide open field, Rune tried to locate where he had hidden his picnic basket. He was extremely thankful that he had made more than enough food for himself. "I hope you're alright with turkey sandwiches," he said, looking over at Scarlet.

"I'm okay with any food. I bet it'll be tasty! "Scarlet said.
She got up from her laying position and sits up, gathering all the flowers she picked and putting it all in her basket.
She then waits for Rune before she got up to her feet.

Rune located his basket tucked away behind a wide rock, and brought it over to the large tree under the shade. "This should do," he commented cheerfully as the find ruffled his fur, making it blow all over him. He took out a sandwich and set it in front of Scarlet, and then took one out for himself. "Enjoy!"

"Why thank you, miss," Rune replied, feeling an unexpected glow of pride. It wasn't normal for other gladiers to spark such a feeling within him, but he quickly dismissed the thought - after all, he had just met Scarlet. "Would you like some refreshments as well?" he asked, pulling out a bottles of oddly colored liquids. "I have strawberry, raspberry, watermelon, orange, and lemon-lime. Of course, there's also water if you want it."

Scarlet took another bite into the sandwich before picking orange for her thirsty throat.
"It's so nice today, with the soft breeze and clear sky.
Along with foods,it almost feels like a picnic,doesn't it?"
She hasn't experience such a nice day in a long time, especially with someone else.

Rune selected a strawberry drink for himself, letting the cool liquid run over his throat. "It's a wonderful day indeed," he replied, feeling the sun warm his blue and black fur. The wind made the grassy area ripple like waves, a very beautiful sight to observe.
"How about we take a walk?" he suggested, nodding over at a worn dirt path fringed by daisies that seemed to stretch out for quite a while. "After all, it can't be too difficult to find our way back, can it?" A small doubt crossed his mind, but he brushed it away quickly as to not worry Scarlet.
