 Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin Arriving back at the spot in the chakra forest where he and Zenko had stopped earlier, Sai arrived suddenly, tearing through the fabric of the cast shadows in the area. Once he and Zenko had fully emerged from the shadows, he released her gently and surveyed the area for a few seconds before explaining their next actions. "As you might have guessed, this forest begins at the foot of the mountains that is the path to the Akatsuki base. The air here is curiously filled with chakra, so it makes it very difficult for even high level sensory ninja to navigate or see through it. the mist is also thick throughout the forest, create very low visibility... about 25 feet in front of you at maximum."
"All of this said, it is very difficult to navigate this forest if you do not know where you are going, so stay close to me and try to remember the way. I will be stopping periodically to show you certain checkpoints that I use to assure myself I am traveling along the correct path, but we can't stand around for too long either... there are many vicious creatures which reside in this forest, so be well on your guard. naturally however, you also have me with you... so I will protect you, but that doesn't mean you should let your guard down either." turning to her one more time, his features and expression could barely be seen through his robes and hat, but it could be assumed that his face was as emotionless as it always was behind the outfit... "Do you have any questions before we depart?"

[enter from crimson walls]  Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin A sudden gust of wind blew through the forest, blowing right across the path of Sai and Zenko. In its wake the form of a young man appeared, his stark white eyes exultant, a smile stamped across his face. Looking to Sai, Atsureki let his eyes return to normal, the veins surrounding them returning to normal as the irises became hidden once more. "I just finished learning my new jutsu, and so I thought I would come out to greet you. I see that you've brought a guest with you, a guest with a very similar chakra signature to your own", Atsureki said as he glanced towards the girl, his eyes seeming to see past her physical appearance straight to her core.
"Nothing hides from these eyes..."

 Yasukawa Zenko| Otogakure | Chuunin | Ninjutsu | Konaga Clan |Zenko absorbed the familiar site that the pair had been to before. Once again, she listened patiently to the several sentences that Sai spoke, absorbing the information at the rate he was giving it. Upon his 'word of advice' to memorize the areas, she took special care to memorize the one they were already in. She would never know when she would need the information, but it would be vital.
Just when she was about to speak, the wind picked up, and brought with it another man. He was smiling, and spoke of having finished a jutsu that he might have been assigned. The smile that she had held so gently before faded to a neutral expression. Zenko merely tossed aside the feeling that his gaze gave her, and looked at him in kind, looking the man up and down. Nothing really stood out, besides the pure white eyes that held no iris. "Sex appeal is fifty percent what you've got and fifty percent what people think you've got."Theme Song: Supermassive Black hole - Muse

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin Sai was curious if there was anything else Zenko would say, but as he awaited a reply, he felt the wind shift in a familiar way as he detected an incoming presence. Placing his hand on his Shadow Blade, Sai prepared for whoever it might be, but as he saw Atsureki appear, he relaxed his grip and dropped his arms to his side. "Very good... not only has he learned the Kaze Shunshin on his own, but to have pinpointed us and moved to this location without ever having been here means that he's increased the sight range of his Byakugan quite some distance in my absence."
"Not so bad Atsureki... I see you've learned the Kaze Shunshin, and increased the range of sight for your Byakugan dramatically... impressive for such a short time. This is Zenko..." he said, motioning to her with his hand as he continued on... "As you have no doubt noticed, we share a common bloodline. She will be the newest member to our ranks. We were just on our way back to the base to get her acquainted with the path and the organization before getting some rest. My trip was rather fruitful... in more ways then I could have imagined... but we need to be patient still. I need to make sure you are both ready for what awaits us once we start hunting the bijuu again. Perhaps you could lead the way for us to get back to the base as a test of your memory... now that you're in the fog, I imagine it would be quite difficult, even for your eyes to see the way back to the base."

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki looked back to Sai, listening quietly as Sai explained who the new-comer was. After Sai had finished, Atsureki bowed deeply as he said, "It would be my pleasure." Straightening up, Atsureki turned to Zenko and shot her a pleasant smile before saying calmly, "As I'm sure that Sai has told you it can be very easy to get lost in the dense fog, please do stay close." Turning on his heel Atsureki then bent his knees, sending a small surge of chakra into his legs to help him leap up into the branches of the trees that surrounded them. As he landed on the branch he activated his byakugan, though the mist still obscured even his, though not to the same degree. He could still see slightly further than normal, perhaps one-hundred feet as opposed to the normal twenty-five, had it not been for Sai's beaming chakra there would have been no way for Atsureki to locate them before. But more importantly it allowed Atsu to perceive his surroundings in all directions. He had been caught off guard by one of the many denizens of the forest the last time he had traveled through it, it would not happen again.
Atsureki moved quickly through the forest his eyes darting from side to side as he wove through the canopy of the forest, using his memory of his last visit to help him navigate through the seemingly unchanging landscape. As he jumped from branch to branch, he couldn't help but examine the similar chakra that Zenko had to Sai. Much like Sai, her chakra flow was not limited to the Tenketsu, though her chakra seemed less powerful than his, less violent. As they continued Atsu also began to notice subtle differences between the way the two carried themselves. Sai seemed to be slightly on edge at all times, as if tense, though not so much so that it interfered with his reaction speed, as Atsu had clearly seen the last time they had traveled through this forest. Zenku on the other hand seemed more comfortable, though there was still something that seemed off about her movements, though Atsu couldn't quite put his finger on what it was exactly.
From time to time, Atsureki would notice some of the landmarks that he had seen on his way to the entrance of the base. Subtle things, a branch that seemed to be contorted in a unique way, a strangely colored rock, which few would notice, save those that already knew of their presence. At each landmark, Atsureki would point to it to let Zenko know of its presence in case she had not already noticed.
After several hours of jumping from branch to branch, making their way steadily to their destination, Atsureki came to the small path that marked the final part of their journey. Jumping down to the ground, Atsureki landed in a light crouch, his long black hair cascading around his face as he observed the surrounding area. Something had caught his attention as he fell to the ground, the smallest hint of movement, but it was enough to put him on edge. Rising slowly to stand at his full height, Atsureki moved his slowly towards kunai holster on his right thigh. Then in a flash of movement, Atsureki spun as he drew two kunai and flung them just as the creature he had seen earlier jumped from the nearby bushes. It was a huge black jungle cat, it fangs and claws bared as it pounced at Atsureki.
The Kunai nailed the beast in the chest, but it seemed to do little more than aggravate the beast as it sailed through the air towards Atsureki. Atsu's eyes widened as he jumped into the air, sending a wave of chakra surging through his legs as he did so to give him the extra boost needed, narrowly avoiding the vicious claws of the beast. Atsureki landed on his feet behind the beast just as it turned, its fierce eyes piercing as it set them on Atsureki, letting out a primal roar that shook Atsu to his core.
But Atsureki wasn't the same weak child he had been when he had traveled through this forest with Sai the first time, he would face this mighty beast as a test of his progress; after all if he couldn't even defeat a feral beast, how could he possibly defeat those that would stand between him and the goals of Akatsuki. Falling into the primary stance of Juken, Atsureki squared off with the beast, sure that Sai would not interfere. Atsureki recalled from the scroll he had been studying earlier a technique that he had yet to learn that just might give him the edge he would need against this mighty beast.
The Eight Trigrams Empty Palm technique, a precursor to many of the more advanced techniques of juken, it requires one to focus chakra into the palm of their hand, and at the exact moment of impact release the chakra into the opponent, striking with enough force to send them flying, Atsureki thought to himself as the panther began circling him, preparing for its next attack. Atsureki immediately began focusing chakra to his right palm, causing his hand to practically glow with chakra, though only those with eyes like his own would perceive the glow. [1/3]
Without warning the beast rushed forward, moving with incredible speed despite its size, but it wasn't fast enough. Spinning to his right, Atsureki dodged the beasts strike, and was now facing its exposed right flank. Lashing out quickly, Atsureki struck at the beast with his open palm, but during his dodge Atsureki had lost his concentration, causing the built up chakra to disperse back throughout his body. As his palm struck the mighty panther, it did nothing more than aggravate the beast further. As it spun to strike at Atsureki once more, Atsureki grabbed a hold of the creatures fur and jumped, using his grip to pivot his body as he flipped over the beast. [2/3]
As his feet touched the ground, Atsureki jumped back several more feet, putting a bit more distance between himself and the beast. His heart was racing, all of his senses on overdrive as adrenaline coursed through his veins. The urge to call out to Sai for assistance was nearly overwhelming, but Atsureki would show no weakness before the man, he was done being weak. Falling back into his stance Atsureki readied himself for the jungle cat's next attack. The beast looked at Atsureki with a rage any normal beast would be incapable of feeling, but Atsureki was unflinching. Letting out a bestial roar the panther leaped at Atsureki, aiming to sink its teeth into the soft flesh of his neck. Never before had any creature survived the wrath of the mighty creature, its sheer strength making it more than a match for the creatures that dwelt within the darkness of the forest.
As the beast sailed through the air, Atsureki saw his opening. Rushing forward, Atsureki ducked and weaved as the panther tried to claw at him, its razor sharp claws shearing through his shirt at the shoulder, but Atsureki was unscathed. Focusing chakra into his hand so quickly that even Atsureki was surprised he had accomplished it, Atsureki then lashed out with his open palm, aiming for one of the two kunai that was still embedded in the beasts thickly muscled chest. At the precise moment of impact, Atsureki released all of the built up chakra, driving the kunai through the beast's flesh, deep into its chest, but his hand continued to move upward as the chakra burst from his hand. [3/3 Eight Trigrams Empty Palm learned]
The cat let out a pained growl as the force of Atsureki's strike caused it to fly several feet into the air away from Atsureki. Landing with loud thud, sending dust into the air, the creature struggled through its final labored breaths, gasping desperately for air that could not fill up its punctured lung. Atsureki walked slowly over to the beast as he drew another kunai. Kneeling beside the mighty creature, Atsureki rested his hand on the creatures mighty shoulder and whispered, "suffer no more." In a swift motion, Atsu plunged the kunai into the beasts chest, piercing its heart and ending its misery.
Rising to his feet, his hands now covered in blood, Atsureki looked up to Sai and Zenko before saying, "Shall we proceed?" Then turning on his heel Atsureki walked towards the entrance to the Akatsuki base.
"Nothing hides from these eyes..." [exit to parting through the clouds] (That post became a lot longer than I had originally intended, but hey I needed to learn that technique)

Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin Sai had spent much of the travel through the forest in silence, focusing on the paths of the forest as well as making sure the dangers of the forest did not threaten Zenko. He had taken up a position directly next to her, but said nothing at all, allowing Atsureki to lead the way and prove himself. In the end, Atsureki had stopped and pointed out most everything that he would have done himself, successfully guiding them through the forest.
As they came towards the end however, Sai detected a presence, and he began to travel closer at Zenko's side as he waited to see what would happen. As they came to the last stretch, he watched as Atsureki jumped down the ground, but put his arm out in front of Zenko to stop her from following, keeping it there so she wouldn't get any ideas of jumping down to him. "Don't move." was all he said as he sensed the stalker approaching their position. Sai made no movement or attempt to warn Atsureki as he wished to see if the boy had noticed with his keen eyes what he had with his senses. Just as the thought arrived however, he watched as Atsureki engaged the panther, catching the beast's attention and focusing it on hismelf as he battled it.
Watching the fight, Sai was realizing just how far Atsureki had come in such a short time and allowed a grin to appear, though hidden behind his high cloak. A certain, almost proud pleasure came to Sai as he watched his student battle the panther and demonstrate a new mastery of the 'eight triagrams Empty palm. Given his knowledge of the technique, he had recognized the technique at his first attempt to use it, but was pleased to see him so quickly apply what he had learned in the heat of battle to deliver a finishing blow. The grin turned to a smile quickly, but in a sudden uprising of enjoyment as he watched the ending blow, Sai's body reeled in pain as his chest spasmed slightly, causing him to retract his hand from in front of Zenko's chest as he moved it to his head, gripping his temple as a massive wave of pain flowed through him, giving him an intense headache.
Minor fits like this didn't occur very often, but it was disconcerting when they did, often spurred on by sudden rushes of emotion or adrenaline. He had after all, already exhausted much of his strength for the day through multiple augmentations and chakra use. He could, if he needed to of course, carry on, as he still had immense levels of chakra left, but his body needed rest from the ever present pain which consumed him.

Yasukawa Zenko| Otogakure | Chuunin | Ninjutsu | Konaga Clan |Zenko remained silent during encounter with the other male named Atsureki, her mind falling back into a study-type mode. She easily registered the words and linked them to what she knew, mentally nodding to herself to make sure that she knew what they were talking about. Not much was said to her, besides Atsureki's warning for her to stay close, just like Sai had said.
Once they had started moving, her mind slipped farther into itself, her thought process beginning to flow freely. A slight stumble on one of the branches brought it back immediately, forcing her to focus on the surroundings. Zenko took a happy note of Sai's protective distance, then shifting to the other younger male again. He was cautious, ready to strike, and very attentive of the needs to point out the land marks. They were etched into her mind clearly and repeatedly, just so that they wouldn't be forgotten. She knew that if they were, she'd could become lost and lose her life. Zenko wasn't sure whether it was possible until Atsureki came into contact with one of the 'beasts.'
The overall appearance of the monster was frightening, easily at the same height as both of the men near her. It's fangs, and claws, looked like they could slice through them like a hot knife through butter, furthering its bestial ferocity. Zenko might have gone down to help Atsureki, but was stopped by Sai's arm, which was now directly in front of her. A small frown contorted her before, neutral expression, as she was forced to sit and watch as Atsureki dealt with the beast.
Her eyes made sure to track Atsureki's movements, measuring his strengths, and seeing what all he could do. Of course she wouldn't see much, as all he displayed was a unique taijutsu style. He would be a hard opponent if she ever had a match with him, and she wasn't sure if she could win, since her knowledge of jutsu was still fairly low. Upon the final strike, the mood quickly lightened, and Atsureki once more began to lead the way. Just as she was about to follow, Zenko noticed that Sai was experiencing extreme pain, the reactions to it familiar to her.
During Zenko's lack of attention, a similar beast had worked its way behind the two and launched itself into the air, sailing directly into her. Since Sai was momentarily incapacitated by the pain that racked his body, she was forced to react on her own for as long as she felt she could.
The moment she hit the ground, feeling almost crushed by the weight of the best, she forced its massive form off of her by charging chakra into her arms and releasing it on a push. Tinges of pain spread throughout the limbs here and there, a minor effect of using chakra augmentation that wasn't exactly part of the clan menu. The animal gave a startled roar as it slid across the ground, seemingly surprised by her sudden strength. When it picked her, it thought that the female would be an easier target. She may be, but that didn't mean Zenko wasn't just as deadly as anyone else.
Letting forth a ferocious snarl, the beast charged forward at Zenko much the same the other had towards Atsureki. A quick sidestep moved her figure out of its way, or so she thought. Right as it was about to pass, the beast performed an amazing spin on its paws and then launched itself at her. Zenko was unprepared, and was tackled by the full weight of the beast. She gave a startled cry as she hit the ground, struggling to free herself from the grip of the carnivore. She paused for a split second, and sent mass amounts of chakra into her limbs, their strength being augmented beyond even the beast. Zenko shoved the animal into the air and quickly gained her feet once more, spinning on her heels and delivering a snap kick at its midsection while it was still in midair.
The beast, being unable to move as it was, was hit by the kick with full force, several bones near the strike fracturing as it was sent backwards directly into one of the trees. Slowly, it began to stand back up, shuttering from the impact. Several of its bones had been fractured, including one of the legs, and it was now handicapped. Taking a smart route, it began to retreat, moving away from Zenko and her beyond normal strength. The same beast wouldn't be attacking her again.
Zenko steadied herself as her chakra backed hues following the feline, satisfaction slipping into her mind. She relaxed herself and allowed the augmentations to fade, pain wracking her limbs, and forcing her to kneel. When one now looked, the burns marks that were on her limbs were now darker, being darkest around the right arm, which only had one use left before becoming useless. Shoving the pain back with effort, she turned on her heels towards Sai, worry washing over her again. She charged small amounts of chakra in her feet and jumped up back to the branch where he was. Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin A loud coughing spasm had overtaken Sai at the last second as he lurched forward slightly, leaning down just as the beast behind them leapt up. Stumbling to his senses as he saw the beast take Zenko down. Immediately he began to move to save her, but stopped himself short, realizing that Zenko too, must at some point be able to fend for and protect herself. He would stay in his kneeled position and watch.
Having recovered from his cough, Sai was now fixed on her as she struggled with the beast. Her fighting was not nearly as well trained as Atsureki, and Sai could tell that she was not as proficient with taijutsu as Atsureki was, but when he recognized the familiar augmentations, he knew the beast's fate was sealed. As he watched Zenko propel the beast into the trees with ease, ceasing it's assault and running away, he was just about to move to her aid, when she came rising to his, but he quickly waved her help off and stood up on his own. "As I would expect of someone much like myself."
Noticing that Atsureki had moved on, he saw that Akio was also quick to arrive, grabbing the boy from behind and restraining him. It quickly occurred to Sai that Akio didn't know the boy and might be getting the wrong idea, so he was in a hurry to join. "Let's go Zenko... time to have a meeting. then we can rest." Quickly moving out of the forest, Sai sped off to the entrance, looking back to make sure Zenko was following behind.

Yasukawa Zenko| Otogakure | Chuunin | Ninjutsu | Konaga Clan |Zenko brushed the dirt off of her bottom and followed Sai, making sure to stay close like they had been before. She gave a curt nod in reply to his last sentence and set off after him, taking another happy note of his protective caution.
