Nicki laughed a little, blushing, enjoying the feeling of Aiji's hand on his head. He finished up his half of the sandwich and nuzzled him, still purring softly. "So...you live like a human then?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah... for the most part... when I was a little kid Mum and I lived on the street as animals, but once she had the second litter and Dad was taken, she got more cautious and we started living like people... She rarely turns animal anymore 'cos of Dad... He got taken by the pound... we never saw him after that...." He sighed. "At that time we weren't able to appear civilized to the world and it took us a whle to get situated... By that time, his scent had dried up... Dunno what happened to him...." He looked down, but then brought his gaze back up to Nicki. "But you... you live like a cat, huh?" He smiled. "I must seem pretty domesticated to you, huh." He grinned and laughed slightly.

"Yeah, I live in an alley mostly, been on the streets my whole life...I really don't know what happend to either of my parents or any of my brothers and sisters or anything...I think I remember being with them...but I really have no clue where they went. I rarely turn into a human, it's easier to blend in as a cat living on the street than a human living on the street." He rested his head on Aiji's shoulder.

Aiji reached up his hand and stroked Nicki's hair some more. He knew he wasn't really a cat, or even in cat form, but it felt comforting. "I have four siblings and Mum, so I've neer really been alone." He smiled. He couldn't stand being by himself. And now he had a new friend. He'd never have to be alone.

Nicki purred a little louder when he felt Aiji stroking his hair like that. It felt so nice. He couldn't even explain why he liked it so much. He found that he started licking softly at the side of Aiji's face. He felt so happy. Happier than he'd been in a long time.

Aiji felt something wet on his cheek and giggled. "Tickles..." He turned to look and see what it was just in time to receive a lick on the mouth.

Nicki smiled and blushed when he licked Aiji on the mouth. He hadn't meant to do that, but he found that he liked it. He already really liked Aiji. He didn't know if it was because he was so nice or if it was just because he was so tired of being alone, but he liked him very much.

((Ookie! We need to make something happen, so I'll bring in one of his little sisters...))
"Onii-chan!" came a voice from a point about five feet around. Aiji turned around. THere was a girl who looked to be about ten years old. She had long hair that was, for the most part, black but had several streaks of shining white and one small stripe of brown down the back of her hair that started at the centre of her hairline.
"Mikhali..." Aiji smiled and hugged his little sister and then gestered back to Nicki. "This is Nicki. He's a kitty."
Mikhali raised an eyebrow. "I can tell. Both your ears and tails are showing. If anyone else saw you, you'd be in trouble." Aiji sweatdropped. Mikhali didn't act her age. She seemed to have taken the place of woman of the household, or, at the very least, seemed to be working in his mother's stead.
He walked back over to Nicki and said, "That's my little sister, Mikhali."

"Hello" he said nervously to Mikhali. He bit his lower lip and concentrated hard, then grinned triumphantly after his ears and tail disapeared. He hadn't changed into a human in quite some time and felt very successful that he had finally done it successfully.

Aiji laughed at the look on Nicki's face and turned instantly into 100% human. "C'mon. You can come home with us. You don't have a home, right?" He got up, grabbing Nicki's hand to help him up.

"Yeah...I don't" he said nervously. "But...you don't have to do this...I don't want to be a problem or anything." He was so amazed at how nice Aiji was to him.

"It's fine." His smiled widened. "We're all in this together, right? Anyway, you need some experience as a person, right? So come with us. I'm sure Mum won't mind."
Mikhali humphed rather loudly. "Just get it over with! We shouldn't stay here in the open much longer. It'll look weird. Plus, anyone could hide in the trees, listening to us. Best to go indoors."
Aiji blinked and ruffled his sister's hair. "That's our Mikhali. Always thinking ahead." He laughed.

"Yeah...I guess I do need to learn how to be a person." He said with a little bit of a smile. He was starting to really really like Aiji. He was glad that he'd be getting to spend more time with him.
"Yeah, I guess we prolly should get going."
