I really like what you've put together both for Fallon and for Ares, and I particularly like that while these two characters will shore up some of each others flaws and enhance some of each other's strengths, this doesn't cause a happy accident where they merge into a perfect being: as you've indicated, some of their flaws will underscore each other as well -- which is just the right idea.
She and Corinna/Selene would likely get on some of the time, but not all of the time -- which is also great, since, the more wholehearted cheerleaders Nehelenia has, the faster she tends to become a bit tyrannical without realizing it. She could definitely use some true grit standing against her at times.
