Sirius swore. Her attack never missed, it never ever missed. It was ******** useless at defeating anyone but no it never missed, never ******** missed. She couldn't attack the thing, she wasn't stupid. Hearing Robin shouting go for the leg really didn't help. Sirius had nothing to attack with.
She knew she didn't have long but she wasn't stupid, far from it. She concentrated this time and so when the words came out her mouth they knew what they were collaring. She knew she wouldn't be able to hold the thing for long, it was too strong but at least she would give herself time to actually look for a weapon.
"COLLAR BOUND" This time she was sure it wouldn't miss. Her attack never ******** missed. What the hell was this ******** thing anyway? Oh she was pissed so pissed.

With wounded leg, Mandicord's futile effort to avoid the attack a second time looked pathetic. Growling in agony, the creature was completely and utterly trapped. Furiously, it attempted to claw at the force holding it. To no avail. For now, Mandicord was trapped. Useless. Though it could not say it, it could feel the favor its master slipping. Every Cardian knew what that meant and darker instincts of survival were heightened. Clawing at the barrier, it frantically was searching for a way out. A way to get back to the prey and complete its mission. But was it strong enough to break free?

"You caught it!" A cheer, not an exclamation of surprise. Of course Sirius had caught it, Robin had known that she would! She drew one step, two, forward, then seemed to think better of getting too close to the thing. Even bound up in that barrier as it was, after all, it still seemed dangerous - and that tail was wicked scary. No, Robin thought this was one that she should keep her distance from - unless the senshi said it was safe, anyway.
Of course, what Robin didn't know is that Sirius had nothing to attack with. If she did, she'd probably have tried coming up with a solution of her own for how to dispatch the creature; but why should she? She'd been sold - Senshi were the frickin' Batmen of Destiny City, and as long as Sirius was around, it was all going to be okay!

If only Sirius had the confidence in herself that Robin seemed to have in her. She could feel the creature attacking the barrier and it was strong, too strong. She wouldn't be able to hold the barrier for long but there was nothing around, nothing at all.
There was a car.
Okay so she couldn't lift a car but cars had glass windows and glass could be sharp, really sharp. She started to move around, her eyes not leaving the monster. Her movements were slow not because she was worried about angering the monster but because it was tiring her out. As she reached the car she counted to three in her head before elbowing the window. Luckily for her the glass shattered but it had cut her arm as well. She could feel the blood. She would have to come up with an excuse for that later.
She turned away from the monster to pull at the glass, doing so let it out the collar and she knew that but she needed the weapon, it was more important. She pulled at the shards of glass, turned and threw some of it at the monster, if only to make sure it's attention stayed off Robin.
"Come on then, bring it on." Oh she looked so feeble standing their with nothing but a large shard of glass in her hand.

Mandicord was pissed. Fur sticking up on its back it roared angrily, staring Sirius down. Now that anger welling up within it was going to unleash itself in full furry force. Up until this point it had been focusing solely on Sailor Sirius, but now a bright pink color entered its vision. Taking a few steps back it looked between the two possible picks of prey. Which one to maim first? Eyes darting between them, Mandicord's nose caught the scent of dripping blood. Glancing in the way of Robin it had decided. Blind rage as its ally it had made a decision. Take out the weaker one first and at least have some energy waiting for its master if it failed to take out the stronger.
Taking off slowly, it began an advance towards Robin. With it's own impaired leg Mandicord could do little but speed walk towards her with tail poised and ready. Creeping up quickly, it made a shrill hiss towards Robin and leaned forward, tail jabbing at the wounded girl.

Wait -- what?!
Robin had gotten a bit too comfortable around the dangerous battle, it seemed. Not so much that she wasn't paying attention when Mandicord's eyes flickered over to her, mind you - she was already starting to drift a few inches back when she caught on to the creature's renewed interest in her as a target. But she hadn't seriously considered what she might do if it started thinking she looked tastier again; and now that it had, her racing mind wasn't coming up with too many options for her to follow.
She could try to run. Her leg hurt, but it was scratched up, not broken - she might be able to outpace the creature, if she was lucky. But the other option, getting cut down with her back to the enemy... that terrified her more than anything. Not because it would make her look like a coward, but because she would be helpless - have no control over her fate, only struck from behind and ended. Robin didn't think she could do that.
She could stand her ground, try to dodge the inevitable attack. She didn't need to hold out long, after all. That senshi was sure to come to the assist - right? With her... deadly... shard of broken glass.... (Come to think of it, maybe Robin had been a little quick to put so much faith in Sirius - glass? Really, that was the best she had against this thing?)
The last option was a maneuver. Make a pass at the creature herself with that silly little knife of hers. It wasn't making any quick moves itself now, after all. Robin was rusty on her monster biology, but she was pretty sure that it had a jugular vein; cut that, and it would all be over. Door three was pretty damned desperate, but her rationality didn't know what else she could do - stand and die, run and die, or she could try and do something! The choice didn't even seem like a stupid one to her, not in the heat of the moment. To her, it was the only one to be made.
The theory was sound, the decision was made - but even so, the spirit was uncertain. Robin lingered where she stood just seconds too long. The tail struck out, quick as a snakebite; nearly at the same moment, Robin shouted and threw herself forward, knife at the ready. The tip of the tail found a home, if not a direct hit, dragging a red slice across the skin of her arm, the paralyzing venom slipping into her bloodstream.
Robin fell almost immediately. The knife had dropped from her fingers before she'd even gotten near the creature, anyway. It was as much of a pathetic, weak, and futile ploy as could be expected.

No this wasn't suppose to happen, no it was suppose to go after her not Robin! Sirius wasn't really sure what to do and so just watched as it went after Robin, as it ran at her and as the tail cut Robin and she collapsed.
"NO!" Sirius did something stupid now, with the glass in her hand she ran and jumped a the thing, hoping to jump on to it's back. Which was a bad idea, she knew it was but if she could slice at the thing maybe she had a chance of helping Robin? She hadn't a clue what this thing was, other then bloody dangerous.
She prayed as she jumped at the creature, firstly that she wouldn't put herself in more danger and secondly that she would at least get the stupid thing away from Robin. She also contemplated her phone for a split second but she didn't have the time to call any other senshi, she had to kill this thing and as quickly as possible. If it only it were a youma, at least then she would know what the hell to do with it.

Pulling its tail free gently a grin crossed Mandicord's face. Finally it was doing as it should. With claws poised to kill it leaned over the now immobilized girl. Now to kill her and take the sweet energy...
A brute force knocked Mandicord to the side and sent the beast tumbling on the ground. It could feel the weight hold it down, though it thrashed and gnashed its teeth angrily. Grasping hands ripped at its fur, causing it to cry out into the night. How could it have been caught off guard so easily? Biting into the air it aimed for the fleshy lump attached to its back. It was like a child throwing a tantrum, except with razor sharp claws. Swishing its tail it jabbed at its unknown attacker, hoping to subdue her as the other girl had been subdued. But would it be so simple?

The answer was an ear deafening, harsh no. Grating its teeth in the direction of the fallen girl, it could feel the weight bear down mercilessly, nails tearing at the tender fur near the nape of its neck and sharp heels digging into its back. Rippling chills ran up the beasts spine causing Mandicord to feel an all too familiar fleeting emotion... the rage had advanced desperation. A sense of the inevitability all mortals share washed over into clarity in the wounded beast. Frantically it clasped a clawed hand around the poisoned girl and began its final attempt to gather energy. It could sense it, feeling the warm energy abandon the body, a delicious euphoria surrounding the thievery. "Mandi!" it cried, howling in delight.
Suddenly there was a drop in force on its back, the attacker finally in range of the deadly tail. Without turning its gaze from the fallen girl, the bright yellow eyes glinted and all three rows of teeth moved back into a grin. It would strike hard, then have both girls at its merciless beckoning...
The solemn face of beauty hidden in the mess of fur disappeared as rage and despair took hold in its stead. A guttural snarl prematurely ended and an air of silence filled the street. Sharp pain swelled and echoed throughout Mandicord's body. With eyes widened a clawed fingers unraveled, freeing the young girl as a dark liquid poured out from under it, a shining sliver apparent in the matted hair from its back.
Abruptly the weight was lifted and the normally busy scorpion tail of the creature fell limp between its legs. Two vibrant eyes settled back towards the senshi, glassing over slowly while its head remained cocked to the side as it turned. "Mandicord..." it pressed out through its large fangs, a clawed hand outstretched towards her. A wisp of red light surrounded the creature as it finally fell limp on the ground. Suddenly breaking away from its mortal body, the crimson light consumed the beast, dissipating quickly, leaving only a remnant of its former glory on the side of the street.
