The day had given away into the nights embrace, and as it did that, Neph lowered herself to her belly, nuzzling against Moyo's side with a deep purr.
"Lets sleep.." She offered in a husky voice, the days events starting to show on her being, she was tired, but fear of leaving him was growing stronger and stronger within her.

Moyo smiled and snuggled in real close to her.
"How can I sleep when such a vision of beauty rests beside me? " He knew he was being corny. The male closed his eyes. He was not asleep yet though. No he was just enjoying being with Neph.
"Such a perfect night.." He yawned.

She laughed softly, before she nuzzled into his shoulder, taking his scent deep into her memory.
"Very easily of course." She said with a soft smile, she rested her head atop his shoulders, her eyes closing as she listened to the sound of his heart.

Moyo stayed awake for long moments afterwards just listening to her gentle breathing. Slowly in the darkness of his eyelids did he finally succumb to sleep though. The warmth had wrapped around him and dragged him to dream world where there was only thoughts of the future between him and Neph.
The two would start their own family and him and Neph would forevermore be happy. But these were just dreams and not the real thing . Little did the male know... Neph had other plans.
But for now he slept.

She felt the change in his breathing as sleep over took him, her eyes filled with tears as she laid there with him, her heart shattering within her chest, her throat dry and tight as she pulled herself away from him.
Gazing down at him, as the tears rolled down her cheeks, oh how she loved this beautiful lion before her, if he looked to her right now, asked her to stay, oh she would, how shed slink back beside him and relish in the happiness he brought her.
But, that wasnt how it was to be. It just wasnt the right time, she just wasnt right for him yet, but there was something between them..
She lowered her muzzle, giving him a soft lick before she whispered into his ear, "I need you more than anything in my life, I want you more than anything in my life. I'll miss you more than anyone in my life, I love you more than anyone in my life...Goodbye Moyo." she licked his cheek one last time, before she turn and raced away into the darkness of the night, she would return to him one day....one day.
