The girl munched away on chips as she watched him light up again and take a few drags before responding to her question. She still wasn't a fan of smoking, but she had to admit that Hobbes' choice in cigarettes smelled much better than Phil's choice. She continued to eat, sweeping up one chip up that had a big glob of cheese on it, and swiping it through the dollop of sour cream. She stuffed it in her mouth, and rather easily got some cheese and cream on her top lip. The blonde didn't rush to wipe it off, or rather, she really didn't notice it.
After she swallowed her current mouthful, she smacked her lips before telling Sheldon "Yer wrong." Her fingers gripped onto her cup and brought it up to her lips. She gulped down some water and firmly set the glass back on the table before continuing.
"I ain't gonna lecture, but yer wrong. Nothin' worthwhile comes from doin' nothin'." If that was the case, then her projects in the garage would be nowhere nearly as epic as they were. She would never bother to get a license for a motorcycle she fixed up herself.
Though many different thoughts began to wallow through her mind, she did manage to keep her word. She dropped the subject entirely to avoid any sort of lecturing. "I seriously should get Phil to smoke those at some point. Th'smoke smells better."

Lectures were one of the last things Sheldon wanted, especially from a girl he did not know. He got enough form his parents, still after four years, on his required visits. They weren't as horrendous as they once were, those hour long talks, but they still always brought something up and felt the need to talk to him about it and how wrong it was. Thankfully, Ellie did seem to be in the same mindset, opinionated sure but wasn't just about everyone? "Different strokes for different folks," how cliche but whatever. Sheldon took another puff of smoke before flicking the ashes of the stick into the ashtray next to him on the table.
"They were part of the appeal of buying them," besides being a black cigarette - which made it seem cool - and banned in several parts of the country (for the trivial matter of having a flavor, whatever). They were cloves technically, but Sheldon didn't divulge in technicalities anymore.
Peeling his lazy gaze from the nacho stuffing girl in front of him, Sheldon scanned the room for the waitress. The couple that had been occupying their same space were still there and now another couple was a few seats down. Cindy seemed no where to be found, nor the hostess. Apparently this Denny's employed ninjas.

"I bet! It's easier on my lungs." She smirked between crunches. That would probably be the closest thing to a complaint from Ellie about the habit.
In comparison to how slowly Sheldon ate, the girl was doing laps around him in regards to eating speed. Nobody could ever accuse her of being lady-like. When she was finally getting to the last fourth of her meal, she suggested without a thought "If ya ever feel like doin' somethin' other than nothin'... ya can always hang out with me. Dunno what sorta sh*t yer inta, but I tend t'spend a lot a time tinkerin' in auto and metal shop."
There was a momentary pause as she scooped up another mouthful of chips, cheese, and sour cream into her mouth, but then she added on "Or video games if ya don't like hangin' 'round a garage. I know Jared ain't a fan of th'sh*t I do... he gets bored jus' watchin'." Her shoulders shrugged again as she resumed eating the rest of her nachos. It only took a few minutes for them to vanish completely. Sheldon was probably relieved that she was a fast eater.

The speed in which she had consumed her dinner was something he did notice and collecting that with her interest in working on mechanics was something that seemed rather interesting. This girl was definitely not like most of the girls he had been acquainted with in the past and nor the present; sure he knew of girls who liked cars and bikes a lot but they were never ones who seemed to like to get dirty and work on them.
"Dunno about the shop stuff," Sheldon remarked but kept that little nugget in the back of his mind; with his bus privileges in the gutter thanks to that pink haired menace he might need to look into getting his own sort of transportation. Though, it would be like making a friend or something, that was something he wanted to avoid... but if she knew about cars and stuff, "though maybe you could help me look into some sort of vehicle in the future.. if you do know your stuff." He added, just to see what she herself would reply.
"Do know and like video games though," He continued after a long drag of smoke. He wasn't avid, more of a collector but he played here and there. And found it much more entertaining while high.
And yes, he was indeed pleased she was a fast eater. It didn't show on his face, he always looked happy yet bored, but her empty plate seemed to be a signal to the ninja waitress and she was at their table within a matter of moments. "Can I get you two anything else?" She questioned, while looking to Ellie to see if it was alright to clear the plate away.

Even with the waitress at the table, it did not discourage Ellie from taking up one of her new straws and twisting both ends up until she had another small little "popper" at hand. She didn't even bother looking up at the waitress while giving her answer. "Unless he has a sweet tooth, we're done." Once the plates were cleared off and the waitress went to get the bills, she reached over with the little straw-popper between her fingers so that Hobbes could pop this one.
"Use yer middle finger this time... it works better that way."
She grinned before finally returning to the conversation from before the waitress intervention. "It ain't a big deal if ya don't care fer th'garage stuff." She paused, narrowing her eyes slightly at him. "Don't ever question my knowledge of vehicle stuff. I'll help ya, but don't question me." Ellie was a grease monkey baby, born and raised. She didn't usually phrase it that way, but she definitely did not like being questioned about her knowledge about vehicles.

Sheldon simply waved his hand, indicating he really didn't want anything else which happily sent the waitress away without another word. He leaned forward in the process as Ellie offered the twisted straws and awkwardly positioned his left hand to pop the straw; his right was occupied with holding the remained of his cigarette. He did as told and flicked the contraption with his middle finger, producing a bigger sound than the first. Though, probably not as impressively as could have been, again... not a lot of force.
The force of her glare went pretty unnoticed, or at least didn't faze him. Sheldon simply shrugged and hummed low, "I'll try not to." He probably wouldn't, but no definites could really ever be made. People had their opinions even if Sheldon was seldom one to express his unless he knew he was right. So he didn't divulge on questioning her knowledge and remained silent when two little black books containing their checks appeared on their table.
And he remained silent, pulling out his wallet and placing the appropriate amount of cash plus tip into the folds of the book and placed it back at the edge of the table.

Her lips quivered into another grin as she heard that popping sound. Ah, it was music to her ears. At least this time the old couple was gone and not glaring at them for making any noise.
As she pulled up her little black book toward herself and looked inside, she casually mentioned "Ya know, y'remind me of my friend, Zuniga." Zuniga was a really mellow guy, and Sheldon Hobbes also seemed to come across this way. In a fashion similar to how her current companion was, she pulled out her wallet and stuffed some bills into the little booklet. Payment and tip was included, and she didn't need any sort of change. Without hesitating, she then stood up and picked up her straws she had swiped.
With the potential noise-makers at hand, she then extended a fist towards him, signaling the infamous "place fist-bump here please." She waited for maybe 5 seconds before saying her goodbyes.
"It was nice hangin' with ya, Hobbes. See ya 'round!"
Whether or not he returned to fist bump, she then led herself back into the building and towards the exit. With the blink of an eye, she had fled, literally running off to do the next thing that she needed to.

Sheldon wasn't sure what to make of her comparison comment but offered another deep hum as a response as he also stood up from his seat. He did a quick pocket check to make sure everything he had entered with was still in his possession and paused briefly at Ellie's extended fist.
"Nice meeting you too, Ellie Spectre," He replied in a bland tone, bumping his own fist into hers in proper gesture.
If he would actually see her around was rather a mystery but he followed her out none-the-less, leaving a good distance between the two of them. He gave a small nod to their waitress as they passed and the noises from the restaurant all came to muffled sounds as he closed the door behind him. Ellie was off before Sheldon knew what happened, he didn't dwell on the matter, just simply turned the direction home and started to walk.
