For the briefest second, the blue lion considered leaving scars on her neck, but decided against it. Wounds near the head and the neck – though showy – could be life threatening if they got infected. Seeing as he wasn't trying to kill her, it was best to let her go with this. The wounds on her paw would be enough.
He waited several seconds after her paw made contact to remind her of her position, before finally stepping off her. Vinjari's nose wrinkled at her tear, but he said nothing about it. Tears were only for lionesses to shed, after all, and he would not comment on them. There was silence between them for a moment, before he nudged her firmly with his nose.
"Go," was the only thing he said, before he turned and settled back down by the river.

She lay there, rather dazed, for what seemed to be an eternity. She was still... well, quite shocked. And yet, more than releived that he had let her go. Now, though, she couldn't get up. She snapped out of it after a moment and sat up, not putting any weight on that leg at all. Every ounce of fire was taken out of her. She didn't move until she got a shove, at which point she got to her feet and ran, testing out her leg. That was going to hurt for quite some time after now- she wondered when it would let up. Still, she ran as evenly as possible as she headed upstream.
Around the other side of a bush, and for the most part at a good distance from him, Ceres laid down and started to clean those wounds...
