Smurfett has hair so they have to be mammals. No arguments please.

major science discovery we'll never know if smurfs are mammals. the smurfs (a race of miniature men who we assume are blue, because of cave drawings) died out several centuries ago, approximately 500 ad. it is difficult to conclude whether or not they were mammals, due to the fact that while their bone structure is very similiar to men, their bodies were too small to have familiar organ stuctures to human. what we can tell is that the people consisted of a community of mostly men and one female, leading us to believe that they were a hive spieces like ants or bees, or perhaps hermaphroditic to an extent like the majestic seahorses. using dna tests on their little skeletons though, we can better understand their diets, genetic diversity, and even infer that they are indeed mammals. it is however, unclear how they died out or how long their life spans were, but science will find the answers.
