Just when Kazuma was getting close to the surface - the worst scenario happened. Electricity. Yes Kinsetsu made use of the Kidou that was basically a blast of lightning. Kazuma's eyes widened as the electricity begun coarsing through his body. It was as if he was inside some sort of electrical generator. Through the tremendous pain Kazuma gasped out and finally fell unconscious. His head dropped and then quickly raised up as his body started to sink to the bottom of the water. While this happened Kazuma found himself somewhere else.

Kazuma eyes opened to find himself in a field of grass, but it was so much more than that. Upon sitting up Kazuma actually discovered he was in a grove, with a ruined temple-like structure at the centre of it. Surrounding this grove was a large forest that seemed to stretch onward forever. The catch was that this endless forest was ignited in flames - the smoke reaching up and blocking up the sky in it's pitch blackness, even the sun could not be seen through it all. "Now ain't this one weird looking mystery, where am I?" Kazuma wondered as he climbed to his feet - leaving his Zanpaku-tou on the ground as he looked for any sign of life. "This - this is our domain. The personification of the world we share" Spoke a deep, solemn voice which carried it's weight from the temple ruins all the way to Kazuma's ears - as if this place had some sort of central speaker system. "Our... domain?" Kazuma looked with one of his eyes squinted in disbelief as he looked toward the ruins. "This is what Shinigami call an Inner World, I would call it a home well overdue for some changes" The voice continued - eventually a large body of armour could be seen. It was a deep red colour, with the face hidden behind some black guise with two large swords of flame mounted on his back and a sword resembling a Zanpaku-tou rested at the armoured man's side. "Wait... we're inside me?" Kazuma questioned and the man did not respond instead he simply vanished - suddenly appearing behind Kazuma. "Do not feign naivety with me, boy - we both know it is a simple trick, one that will be resolved as distractions will only pro-long the fighting" The man spoke and eventually Kazuma sighed, it looked like he was just thrown out of the oven and into a factory incinerator.

Kinsetsu watched with pained eyes the effects of his attack. Was it sadistic to perform such an act when the result was so clearly defined? He had to question himself in regards to his attack. It did bring about the desired effect, but it was similar to attacking the bound dog, leash tied to the post. He felt no pity as this was not something he knew about. His logic merely was questioning the course of action he had taken, whether or not it was the appropriate one. In the end though it was clear Kazuma required his assistance and immediately.

He dove in the chilled water, sensing the rather forceful constriction of his muscles from the shock of entering. As his body adjusted not only from the temperature, but as well from the darkness below he made out the limp body of Kazuma as its weighted began to drag itself under. He swam downwards and grabbed at this arm before struggling upwards with the weight. Reaching the surface he place one hand at the rim of the pond and pulled himself up along with the fallen shinigami. Both lay side by side, both certainly freezing but only one conscious. Kinsetsu looked over to his fellow shinigami and could only wish him the best at this point. He did not fear Kazuma's life, but who knows what state he would be once he returned to consciousness. He would merely wait for now.

With a deep sigh Kazuma slowly maneuvered downward to pick up his Zanpaku-tou. "Alright then, but you have to promise me one thing. When you kick my a** - at least leave me with the ability to kick at least one person" The armoured man looked down on Kazuma in minor confusion before taking quite a few steps away from the Shinigami. "Why?" The man asked now. "Simple, I need to kick the a** of a certain person who electrocuted me" Kazuma stated with a simple shrug. But now that his Zanpaku-tou was back in his hands - things were going to take a turn for the painful. "I'll consider it" The words echoed in the air as the man vanished much like earlier. Kazuma stood at the ready his eyes moving around quickly to look for the man and soon enough he found out that the man was overhead. Tch!" Was all that Kazuma could say as he flung up his sword in defense. the man's armoured foot smashing against the Zanpaku-tou's blade - the friction between the two causing sparks to fly. Within a few seconds the force was going heavily against Kazuma and he had to grip onto the hilt with his other hand to try and hold it.

It eventually proved successful as the force weighed away and the man broke from the attack by kicking the sword with his other foot - which broke Kazuma's defense and pushed him back aways. Before Kazuma could recover the large man was already charging towards him and quickly enough delivered a powerful blow to his stomach. "Guh!" The gurgled gasp asked Kazuma's mouth and he was then dealt a kick to the side of his head which sent him flying across a small distance before colliding with the dirt. Not only was his opponent extremely quick he was also powerful which wasn't helping Kazuma at all.

((Gah, I can't find the thread which has pre-requisites for Shikai training lol - so I'm fighting clueless here XD ))

(it's really to tap into spirit you are not supposed to know its form until bankai, therefore you would not tend to fight it. It is more of a discussion.)

Slowly climbing to his feet in pain Kazuma had one of his hands firmly placed against his head of where the collision with the armoured being's foot took place. "So why are we fighting anyway?" Kazuma asked, after all it seemed like a reasonable question to ask after having one's a** well and truly kicked. "You wield me like a simple toy, yet your not strong enough to respond to my attacks" The large man spoke in a somewhat cryptic manner but it was understandable to what he meant. "Boy, to continue wielding my blade as you do - you must become stronger" The man continued on and Kazuma slowly wrapped his mind around it. "One can only go so far over there physical limit before it finally catches up with them. I need to break my spiritual limit this time. So that I can continue on" Kazuma's response was something of a goading to get the large man on his side of the argument of course this was all following a simple assumption on things that was compiled over a short time of watching other Shinigami prior to this event. "I carry the ability to break that limit for you, but are you worthy of it?" The man questioned once again.

"Of course and I'll prove it!" Kazuma charged towards the armoured man the intent of dealing at least a single injury to the so far unbeatable enemy. "Very well" Spoke the man. Once in range Kazuma tried to strike the man only to have him vanish before the blade made contact. Kazuma had already expected such an event that's why his motion was a spin so that if his large opponent appeared close by him and in any of his sides he would be caught in the next motion of the spinning blade. But despite this the armoured man appeared behind him and vanished again before the blade could land a hit - Kazuma had to guess that the man's ability was simultaneous at this point. But he still had a trick up his sleeve. The large man appeared behind him once more, this time grappling his arms and forcing him to drop the Zanpaku-tou. "You have lost" The man spoke and this only succeeded to bring a grin to Kazuma's face. "Not yet you haven't" Clasping two of his fingers together as a small blue light begun to glow at there tips. "Hado #4, Byakurai!" Kazuma yelled but instead of performing how most Kidou would the blue light quickly ignited in an explosion engulfing both Kazuma and the large man who was holding him captive. The man let go of Kazuma's arms and retreated back a bit - his armour letting off some steam while various markings had made there way on to the armour. Kazuma's position was a bit worse.

His entire upperbody was covered in scorch marks and steam was climbing off of his shoulders from the explosion. "Hehe, I got you" Kazuma stated as he fell onto his knees - out of a quick sense to grab his Zanpaku-tou. "It was a questionable method, but it worked it seems" The man responded his voice a little more calm than it had been at first. "Tell me boy, do you know my name?" Kazuma really had to ponder this question or at least he made it seem like he did. "I feel like I do - I just can't remember the words to be exact".

((Good? lol))

((I'll suffice and sorry for my rather short post))

Dripping wt Kinsetsu sat watching Kazuma's interal struggle. It was a struggle for understanding and acceptance that did not come so easy. Two different bodies of the mind needed to become one, putting aside their conflicting views to work in harmony, only then could one unlock the power. He watched the stirring subside to slowly and new Kazuma was successful in finding his inner spirit. He stood up, feeling the weight of his water soaked cloths as they clung to his form, staring at Kazuma below ready for his return.

This had been his first attempt at such a training and to see it turning out successfully was a good sign. It would certainly permit him the opportunity to partake in similar training with someone else. Helping others did bring what may be considered joy to him as his inner being did feel lifted. Despite the ever present darkness he was only seeing light.

Time had gone on for quite some time. The large armoured man was patient something his tone of voice had suggested impossible. "Hey wait, I do know it!" Kazuma spoke abruptly - ending the quiet silence that had been going on. "Then what is it?" The large man spoke firmly and awaited the answer, sure he looked like he had been waiting patiently but he was most likely going to reprimand Kazuma if he didn't have the correct answer. "It's Nensho... uhh... Tansen right?" Kazuma asked, slightly unsure of the answer he gave. "Surprising, you actually got it right" The man spoke finally and Kazuma sighed with relief. 'Thank you Captain Tansen!' He mentally cheered as his Captain's name was a dead ringer for the second part of his own Zanpaku-tou's name. "Before I return you from whence you came, Kazuma, I have a request The large man spoke again and Kazuma glanced at him. "Sure, was it?" The man looked around before answering making it obvious it was about something in the area. "Put out these fires, they ruin the view of the sky" The Nensho-Tansen told Kazuma, his request was rather simple, the only problem being that Kazuma didn't know how to extinguish the flames when he didn't have a fire extinguisher on hand. "Alright then, I'll work on that - it might take a while though" Giving his guarantee Kazuma soon found the world around him turning black and then his eyes opened.

Kazuma leaped to his feet, droplets of water being flung from his clothes due to the movement. "Woohoo! That was awesome!" Kazuma shouted, the experience itself wasn't the greatest part as opposed to how he felt now. His body seemed revitalized, no, it was feeling a lot better as if he had awoken to something. "Kinsetsu, you were right!" Kazuma spoke as he turned in Kinsetsu's direction to see his reaction.

As he continued to watch the dormant body of his shinigami comrade he began to consider his own shikai trying a while back. His had been rather violent and had left him a devastated individual physically, as well as mentally. He had gained knowledge upon himself that if he could turn back time he would not seek once more. Kazuma's shikai experience he was certain would be quite different and he was right as the shinigami began to stir ever so slightly. As Kazuma gained more lividity one could see to what extent he had been re-energized from his experience, even to the point of shouting in joy. He knew the youngster would be successful and he certainly had not let him down. He was also rather thankful he did not the worse for wear despite the battle he had endured previously.

Kinsetsu smiled ever so slightly as a gesture to assure Kazuma he had done well. He could not say he felt joy out of successfully training an individual, but it certainly allowed his mind to focus on something other than his inner demon.
"Congratulations Kazuma, I believe it is rather safe to say you have awakened a portion of your inner spirit that will allow you to advance your skill. Speaking of which, I would certainly feel inclined to want to witness your new found power. You may require practice mastering it, but I'm certain you will in due time. Please show me your shikai." He was rather curious on what skill his shikai possessed and therefore sought to witness it first hand. He himself would not release his own as no one had ever witnessed it thus far and that would reamin so for the time being. He could not allow his comrades to witness the evil residing within him that was released when he used such power.

"Alright then, let's see how it works" Kazuma slowly walked over to his Zanpaku-tou. The sword was still wet just like Kazuma was but hopefully his Zanpaku-tou could put an end to that. Taking a few steps back from where he retrieved his Zanpaku-tou he held the sword in front of himself - his arm out stretched and his sword gripped in a horizontal style. "Hmm... Zanpaku-tou usually have cool release commands, right?" Kazuma became frozen for a moment - his physical body seemed to stop whenever he was deep in thought as if every fiber of his being was focused on his mental focal pattern instead of his physical functions. Almost a minute later, Kazuma broke from his thoughts with a large deep breath. "Ok here goes" Kazuma stated with his idea in mind for a suitable release command.

With a single sigh he loosened the grip on his Zanpaku-tou slightly and stared forward with a look of determination. "Scorch the Earth, Nensho Tansen!" Kazuma yelled, his voice echoing through the cave from one end to the other, slowly dulling in decibel before becoming un-hearable. More importantly Kazuma's Zanpaku-tou - now identified as Nensho Tansen (Burning Edge) - was turning pure white with heat. The rims of the white glow was a dim orange and the glow enlarged until it eventually took the shape of a large broadsword, with an ornate design and a hook-end on the back edge of it's tip. "Oh yeah! this thing is amazing!" Kazuma cheered as he looked at the newly transformed Zanpaku-tou.

The dimly lit case was suddenly illuminated as the heat removed any chills that may have been present on his body. The power displayed was truly raw, however it certainly did hold high potential. Now having witnessed the extent of success in the training he was satisfied that all was done. The only aspect left for Kazuma was to become one with the new tool at his disposal and use it with caution. Simply having greater power did not mean one could forgo responsibility to constantly remain fearful. In fear one learned respect and would never slip by overconfidence.

"That would conclude our time here Kazuma. I congratulate you upon your new findings. I suggest we seek comfort outside of this cave although your blade certainly can remove any frigid atmosphere present."

He moved forward outside of the cave allowing the light to envelop his being. Such a training was of great importance to him as well as it was for Kazuma, it allowed him to know he could effectively train someone. This was a certain sign he had fully developed within his role as a VC.
