..:: Brother Hunt ::..
[Roleplay Format]

Hayden closed his diary with a look of determination on his face. He was going to find his brother and that was that. His Momma was worried after all. He slid off of his chair and then opened the door to the hallway and peeked out, making sure that Asu was nowhere to be seen.

She wouldn'tve stopped him, but he wanted to be extra sure that he got to find his brother. He scurried down the hallway to the front door and then opened it and started to leave.

"Hayden! Where are you going mister?"

Hayden froze in place and then looked back at Asu, who had mysteriously appeared from nowhere. "Gunna find big bruther!" He announced as he folded his arms across his chest.

"Deskri's in his dorm, I'm sure... He'll be okay. C'mon, lets play a game?"

Hayden's eyes narrowed. There was something she wasn't telling him and he could sense it. She always got a strange look in her eyes when she was withholding information. "Gotta tell me all." He stated.

"....You want to know all about your big brother? It won't be a happy story, Hayden... And he won't want you to know."

Hayden considered it for a moment, his momma didn't seem too happy about having to tell him. "I wanna know." He answered finally as he shut the door. He toddled over to Asu and was picked up and then carried over to the couch.

"All right, just remember... Your brother didn't want any of this to happen to him, okay? And he didn't want to hurt anyone else, either..."

..:: Troublemaker ::..

"Hayden! Put that back right now! I told you to leave it alone." Asu looked up from her drawing pad to see Hayden walking off with a potted plant, planning to do only god knew what with it.

"No!" He shouted back with a grin and then took off running, laughing the whole way to the back door. He paused, taking one hand off of the pot to try and open the door but he was too short.

The pot lost balance on his one hand while he stood on his tiptoes and crashed to the floor, shattering and scattering dirt mixed with pottery everywhere. "Oops..." He looked down at the mess he'd just made and then hurried to open the door.

"HAYDEN JAMES! You stop right there!" Asu emerged from her room, and stomped down the hallway. She'd had her last straw. Hayden had been breaking things or making messes all week, and a good deal of it had been on purpose. "You're gonna help me clean this mess up, understand?" She took hold of one of his hands and then carted him off to the kitchen to get the broom, dustpan and a garbage bag.

"I just wanna'd to play with iiiiiit." Hayden whined as he was led to the kitchen. "I told you that you can't play with breakable things, especially the plants. After this, you're grounded, understand?" Asu fetched the desired items, handing Hayden the garbage bag.

After quite a bit of fighting to get him to cooperate, the mess got cleaned and he was sent to his room to play in there while Asu finished her work.

..:: I'm a Big Kid Now! [part 1] ::..
[Roleplay format]

After the egg event, Hayden had managed to get himself grounded again because the instant he and Asu got home, he opened his eggs and spread glitter all of over the house. He wasn't crafting or anything, no, he literally ran around the house opening the eggs, letting the glitter, paper and whatever goodies were inside fly out all over the place.

"Hayden! What are you doing!?" Asu returned from changing into her pajamas to see the house in a most glittery state, and Hayden had taken to sitting on the living room floor, munching on whatever chocolate he had managed to get. "Eatin' chocolate." He replied with a nonchalant tone of voice.

"Care to explain the GLITTER everywhere?" Asu knew it was insane to demand logical explanations from a toddler, but she really wasn't thinking about that. She wanted an answer and she wanted it fast.

"I was playin' with the eggs!" He blinked a few times, catching on to the fact that he was about to get a serious lecture. "Y'didn' say I couldn't play with the eggs..." He frowned, almost trying to find a way out of it.
"Hayden... I think it would be best if you just go to your room now. Leave the chocolate. I'll bring you dinner when it's ready. Just go. Now." Asu spoke in a low, barely controlled tone of voice as she made her way over to the hall closet where the vacuum was.

Hayden rolled his eyes a little and then abandoned his chocolates as he'd been told. "I wan' mac'n'cheese fer dinner, 'kay?" He grinned and then darted into his room with a string of giggles. Asu could only sigh as she started to vacuum everything up.

[Roleplay format]

The next day Hayden emerged from his bedroom and sluggishly made his way to the kitchen, yawning widely. He crawled up onto a chair at the table, waiting for Asu to come make him a bowl of oatmeal, since he wasn't allowed to.

"Hayden, did you grow?" Asu appeared from behind, peering down at him from behind the chair with a suspicious look. "I 'unno." Hayden replied sleepily. He hadn't quite noticed that his pants now looked more like Capri's than anything else, and his shirt was too small for sure.

"I think you grew... We'll have to go shopping. Maybe your friend Freya grew, then we can go with her dad to the mall and get you two new clothes." Asu smiled a bit, apparently the glitter disaster from the day before had been forgotten. She moved away from the chair and started to prepare Hayden's favorite cinnamon oatmeal.

..:: Meeting River and Enosio p.1 ::..
[Playdate Entry]

"Momma I wanna go to the park." Hayden stared up at Asu expectantly. She looked away from her mac 'n cheese and stared at him blankly for a second. "Uh, Hayden.. I'm making you lunch right now. After lunch." Asu shook her head a little and returned to stirring the boiling noodles. "FIIINE, after lunch." Hayden rolled his eyes and then stomped off to go play with the dinosaurs in his room.

After eating lunch, Asu dressed Hayden up in something mildly warm since the weather was still a bit nippy. They then headed out to the park. Asu was rather grateful for it since Hayden had steadily been gaining energy and was frequently wreaking havoc all over the house. Even Deskri, bitchy-pissy POSSESSED Deskri, hadn't caused so much trouble. Asu sat herself down on a bench while she watched Hayden run around the playground, apparently pretending to be a pirate.

"Look Dadda ther's alreddy somewun here!" River pointed excitedly to the playground where Hayden was playing. "Yeah... Are those wings?" Eno narrowed his eyes curiously. He'd never seen a kid with wings before, but he figured it wasn't any weirder than his tail and ears... "Go on an play.. I'll be right here." Eno released River's tiny gray hand and then went to sit on another bench, not with Asu. He'd noticed that there wasn't anything abnormal about her at least on the outside, which meant she was probably human and therefore, not trustworthy.

River nodded and toddled over to the playground, where he attempted to climb up one of the sides.
"Who dares trespass on my pirate ship!?" Hayden leaped down to where River was trying to climb up and stared at him, a growing smirk on his face. "P-Pirate ship?" River froze in place, eyes going wide with fear. "I-I jus' wanna p-play..." He sniffled a little, tears starting to gather in his eyes. Hayden stared at the kid for a second, having not expected that reaction. "Well then get up here 'n you can be my first mate." Hayden reached down to haul River up the rest of the ladder.

..:: Meeting River and Enosio p.2 ::..
[Playdate Entry]

"What's yer name, kid?!" Hayden immediately resumed the personality of a Pirate as soon as River was up on the platform with him. "R-River.... w-what's yours?" River stared at Hayden confusedly, having no idea what he was doing. He looked back to his dad for reassurance, but Enosio was distracted by a flock of birds that had gathered at his feet. "Hayden. CAPTAIN Hayden. We're gonna go raid that village over there!" Hayden pointed to the playground for the little kids with a big grin. "But that's a playground..." River stared at the targeted place, now even more confused.

Hayden let out an exasperated sigh and rolled his eyes. "It's PRETEND. Haven't you ever played pretend?" He frowned, giving River another look over. What kid didn't know what playing pretend was? "O-oh!" River exclaimed suddenly as it finally clicked. "I never played pretend wif a nudder person b'fore." He grinned, starting to get excited. "Yer weird." Hayden laughed a little and shook his head. "OKAY, man the sails!" He barked the order and then ran across the play bridge to stand on the highest point. River remained in place for a second, unsure of where the sails were. He decided to cling to the tallest pole he could find for the time being. "The storms too strong Cap'n!" He shouted back, which made Hayden look back at him with a serious expression. "WELL, we'll have to beat the storm into submissin!" He replied loudly.

Enosio looked up from the flock of birds, mildly alarmed at the mention of beating something into submission. What were they playing? He eyed Hayden with suspicion, but his attention was turned away when Asu appeared at his side. "They're playing pirates." She announced with a smile. "I'm Asu, by the way. What's your name?" She offered him a hand. Enosio stared at her hand for a moment before briefly taking it, shaking it and then letting go in one fluid motion. "Enosio." He replied quietly. Now that she was closer he noted that her ears had a bit of a point to them, but not enough to warrant a doubt as to her species. "Pleasure to meet you Enosio." Asu nodded her head a bit and then turned her gaze back to the children, noting that Eno didn't seem to be very social.

Eventually Hayden and River grew tired and wanted to go home, so by decision of Hayden, their parents exchanged phone numbers so they could play again at a later date.

..:: Thoughts from the Inside ::..

Hey Diary Journal,

Diaries are for girls. You're name is Journal now.

I haven't seen my brother in a long time, but Mom says that's normal. She said he was always that way. Sometimes I get jealous, 'cause she seems to love him a lot more than she loves me, but...

The way I hear it, he was a lot worse than I am. Mom told me had another person living in his body that would make him do bad, bad things but... I don't have another person living inside of me and yet...

I like the feeling of destroying something. Especially if I can feel it crush in my hand or under my foot. Like pots. Mom stopped buying potted plants 'cause I kept breakin' 'em. So I've moved on... Pencils snap pretty nice, but Mom flips out soooo much when I snap them. They're still useful, all you gotta do is sharpen the other side, right? Eh, I guess I broke a special one or something 'cause she told me I had to go stay in my room for awhile.

When will she learn that I like my room? And whenever she grounds me she acts like nothing happened the next day. I guess that's not so bad though.

Oh, I made a friend, Journal. Aside from Freya, I mean. His name's River, and he's really weird. He's littler than me, so I guess that's why... He didn't know how to play pretend! Not at first, anyway.

and his dad is even weirder. I heard him tell River that I'm a bad kid and that he shouldn't listen to me. Am I really that bad? I do what I want to do, when I want to do it, that's all. I don't think that's a bad thing, 'cause it means I don't lie. His dad stared at Mom really weird, too, like he expected Mom to go berserk or something. Maybe he knows how crazy she can get? Mom does get a little out of control... Usually she gets on the phone and calls someone though, so I just hear a lot of yelling.

Anyway, I think I'm done talking to you now, Journal.

..:: Sleep Over ::..

Hey Journal,

Giovanni invited me to go to his house for a sleepover, and Mom said I should bring River since it'll be my first sleepover. I guess since Mom said I could it's okay, but I heard it was bad manners to bring uninvited guests. Ohwell. I don't think Gio will mind 'cause it'll be more friends for him?

I bet River'll have lots of fun, his dad prolly doesn't let him make new friends very often.

..:: The Terror that is Hayden p1 ::..
[Roleplay Format]

Hayden rushed to the door at the sound of tapping on it and flung it open to stare at whoever it was who had knocked. Deskri. His face soured for a split second before lighting up into a smile. "Big Brother!" He announced and flung himself into a hug around Deskri's middle.
"H-Hayden don't tackle me..!" Deskri dropped his bag and latched onto the smaller, sturdier boy in an effort to keep from falling backward. "Mom said you were gonna come spend the night with me while she went away!" Hayden released his brother and grabbed his bag faster than Deskri could react or respond. Within a few seconds Hayden had dragged the bag inside and flung it onto the living room couch, leaving Deskri to stagger behind still trying to recover from being squeezed. "Y-yeah... where is Asu anyway?" Deskri eyed the area as if he were looking for an attacked before he settled himself down onto the couch next to his bag. Hayden hopped up to sit next to him. "In 'er room. Are we gonna play games?" Hayden replied simply with a shrug.

"Depends on the game... I'm not good at sports." Deskri frowned, wondering for the tenth time that day why he'd agreed to babysit Hayden over the weekend while Asu took off for some me-time. "Oh good, you're here. I already pre-made most of the meals, there's a card for pizza, but only if you absolutely have to. A list of emergency phone numbers is on the door and I don't really care if you have Sonnet or Rasiel over, just behave yourselves alright? If Hayden wants to play with one of his friends, try to work it out alright?" As soon as Asu laid eyes on Deskri she began to talk at lightening speed while she dragged a few bags out of her room.

"Okay, okay, I understand. I'm not gonna kill him or anything. You're sure you're only gonna be gone over the weekend, right? No longer? Don't look at me like that, I have plans." Deskri sat up enough to watch Asu struggle out the door, and was met with a hint of a glare. "If I'm not back on time you're not allowed to just abandon him." Asu shook her head a little with a sigh. "I can take care of m'self, Mom." Hayden pouted and got up to help her out the door with her luggage.

"Thank you Hayden, SOMEONE around here is helpful after all. And I know you can, I just don't want you to be alone is all." Asu smiled a bit and patted Hayden's head. Once she was all loaded up, she left additional instructions for Deskri and then headed off on her way...

[Roleplay Format]

As soon as Asu was out of sight, Hayden turned back to Deskri, the smile gone from his face. "Don't boss me around, don't talk to me, don't associate with me at all. If you do, I'll make you pay for it." A frown spread over his face as he spoke. He started back to his room, not wanting to spend any time with Deskri at all.

"Excuse me? Don't talk to me like that, brat. What'd I do to you, anyway?" Deskri's eyes narrowed angrily, easily roused to anger at being addressed in such a way. He regretted it though. The instant he finished speaking Hayden stomped a foot down, emitting a loud banging noise followed by a series of vibrations which shot through his body. "I TOLD you not to talk to me! I don't like you here, I don't like you at all! I can take care of myself!" Hayden shouted in return, eyes flashing with an anger that was equal to, if not greater, than Deskri's.

Deskri rubbed at his ears, still wincing from the sound. "MOM won't believe you anyway, I could just tell her that that thing inside of you tried to attack me and she'll be on my side." Hayden folded his arms across his chest, adopting a smug look.

"Kagyaku is GONE, and he's been gone for awhile. Now would you please explain why you're so pissed at me when I've done nothing to you?" Deskri rolled his eyes, forcing himself to be the grown-up in the situation and not blow up on Hayden like he wanted to. "Does Mom know he's gone? She'll still believe me if she doesn't. And it doesn't matter, I hate you and that's that." Hayden shook his head and started for his room again. The look on Deskri's face had answered his question. No, Asu was not aware of Kagyaku's departure as of yet.

----------------------

Some hours later, Deskri heated up the dinner that Asu had precooked for them. Hayden had holed himself up in his room and hadn't come out except to use the bathroom, which was fine with Deskri. He wasn't particularly fond of kids, anyway.

"Mom said not to microwave that."

Deskri tensed up suddenly, causing a hiss of pain to escape clenched teeth.
"Don't do that. And would you prefer that I set the house on fire?" Deskri turned to glare at Hayden unhappily. "Let me do it then, I can work an oven." Hayden rolled his eyes and shoved Deskri out of the way. Even though he was still shorter, he was much more dense than Deskri was, so the purple Meta was easily shoved aside.

"Don't shove me, Hayden! Fine, do whatever you want I don't ********' care." Deskri stumbled a bit before regaining his balance. He hated it when people shoved him around, and so now fuming more than before, he shuffled back to the living room to glare angrily at the ceiling from the couch.

"You're not a very good babysitter. I dunno why Mom thought you would be." Hayden rolled his eyes and turned the oven on. "You could y'know, just go back to your dorm and not be in our lives anymore. That'd be nice. You could be like that other brother I never see." Hayden chattered a little as he waited for the oven to get to the right temperature.

"Asu thought I'd be a good babysitter because she's ******** out of her mind, if you haven't noticed. And I'd happily not associate with her, except she's got some crazy idea that she's my mother so I kind of have to. Inosnorise gets out of it because he lives off campus." Deskri rolled onto his stomach so that he could glare at Hayden from the couch, but he was ignored. "Mom's not crazy. I'd say you're the crazy one. And she is, because she legally adopted us, so that makes her our mother." Hayden turned his head to glare right back with equal venom in his gaze. "You should get out of our lives because you're nothing but a whiny, dependent, useless mess up." He returned to watching the oven, missing the brief look of pain that crossed Deskri's face.

"What do you know? We never spent enough time around each other for you to say that." Despite hating Hayden quite a bit at the time, the child's words still dug into him like daggers. Yet another person thought he was a useless addition to the world. From there on, the negative thoughts would come much easier than any others. "Mom talks about you all the time. "Deskri" this, "Deskri" that, "Deskri" would do this or that or wouldn't do it... It's annoying. She worries about you a lot but all you do is call her names and shove her away, so we'd be better off if you'd just disappear." Hayden spoke quietly, calmly, surprisingly serious despite his previous behavior.

The ready light turned on and he placed the food in the oven as if nothing had happened.
"You're not old enough for her to mess with. I shove her away because she messes with me and she knows that." Deskri rolled back on to his back with a sigh. He could tell this was going to be a long, long weekend...

..:: The Terror that is Hayden p3 ::..
[Roleplay Format]

Saying that it was going to be a long weekend was an understatement. Night went by without a disturbance, but the next morning was when the real terror started.

Hayden exited his room, already dressed for the day, and made his way over to the couch where Deskri had ended up sleeping. Asu had offered up her bed, but he'd opted for the couch because it'd feel awkward sleeping in her bed.

That didn't spare him, though. Hayden stood in front of the couch, staring down at his sleeping brother for a second before he reached up to his headphones and cranked up the volume. He opened his mouth, took a deep breath, and unleashed one of the screams from his recorded music.

Deskri's eyes flew open and he pushed himself away from the couch with enough force that he flew off the other side, landing crumpled on the floor next to it. Though it was an amusing sight to see, Hayden simply turned his head to watch as Deskri sorted himself out, wincing from the noise he'd caused.

"What the ******** was that for!?" Deskri rubbed his ears as he cast a glare at Hayden, eyes steadily turning red from the rage building inside of him. "You were in the way. I got a routine y'know." Hayden pulled the blankets and pillows off of the couch and plopped himself down where Deskri's head would have been. He then reached for the remote and turned the TV on to some Discovery show.

"You blasted my eardrums so you could watch TV?!" Deskri stood up, hair now turning red as well. "It'sa routine, go make breakfast. Mom always makes breakfast right about now." Hayden stared at him for a moment before returning to watching the show that was on. "Don't treat me like I'm your slave, 'cause I'm not! Don't ever do that again!" It was a miracle that Deskri wasn't trying to strangle the kid, and he knew it, so rather than stand there and refuse to be ordered around he stomped off to the kitchen to get cereal ready. If he had stayed and argued, he would've lost control of himself.

"I want Cheerio's, 'kay?" Hayden announced as soon as he heard Deskri open the pantry door. He laughed to himself as he heard a frustrated sigh and then a slam of a box down on the counter, followed by the sound of two bowls being set down a little rougher than necessary and then some thrashing through the silverware to find spoons. This was going exactly as planned...

"Come get your ********' Cheerio's. No eating on the couch, and don't tell me that Asu lets you eat on the couch because I know she doesn't let anyone eat on the couch." Deskri picked up his own bowl of Cheerio's and headed over to the kitchen table to eat. Hayden eventually turned off the TV and retrieved his own bowl and then joined Deskri at the table, but at the opposite end. "There's too much milk in this." He stated simply, staring at his brother. "Tough s**t, you're old enough to make your own breakfast." Deskri glanced up in annoyance and then returned to eating. "You're here to do that, so I don't have to. Do it right next time." Hayden rolled his eyes and finished off his cereal as fast as he could.

Once he was done, instead of taking the bowl to the sink like Asu made him do normally, he slid off of his chair and made a b-line for the backyard to play.
"HEY! Come put your bowl in the sink!" Deskri glared after him, but after a few moments, realized he was being ignored and grudgingly took care of the dishes himself. There wasn't a chance in hell that he was going to watch Hayden longer than he'd been told Asu was going to be gone, even if she was going to be late.

The rest of the day was filled with the occasional blast of sound waves, loud music playing suddenly or just snide remarks aimed at wounding their target. Still, Deskri refrained from attacking his little brother, but it was beginning to wear him thin. Very thin.

"I'm hungry!" Hayden announced, peering over the back of the couch down at Deskri who was trying to remedy his last headache.
"Go heat up dinner then... I'm getting a migraine thanks to you." Deskri cast a sour look up at Hayden and rolled onto his stomach, burying his face into a pillow. "It's your job to make dinner, so make dinner." Hayden frowned, debating on what he should do to make Deskri go heat up food for them.

"You should've thought about that before you blasted my ears last time." Deskri's reply was muffled, but the lack of caring in his voice was apparent nonetheless. "Fine, I'll just call Asu and tell her that you're not feeding me." Hayden shrugged and started for the nearest phone, but stopped as he felt something grab his foot. He looked down, only to see something black wrapped around it. "You're a pain in the a**. I'm getting up..." Deskri had stretched out his shadow, which was the black thing holding his ankle. Satisfied that he'd gotten his way, Hayden adopted a bit of a smirk.

..:: The Terror that is Hayden p4 ::..
[Roleplay Format]

Deskri brought the Mac 'n Cheese he'd made for dinner over to the table and then sat down in his own chair with a weary sigh. Hayden stared at the food for a second, wondering if it was safe to eat... It looked rather burnt, and not mixed all the way. He took a bite, made a face, and then swallowed. "This isn't cooked all the way! it's still raw, and the powder isn't mixed in, and oh my god, there's butter that isn't melted!" Hayden shoved the plate away in disgust, appalled that the first meal they had that wasn't pre-made was as awful as this one was.

"Do I look like a cook to you? Because if I do, you need glasses. If you don't like it, make something else." Deskri poked at his own food, speaking quietly, a sign that he was too worn out to deal with anymore of Hayden's fits. "No wonder I'm almost as big as you are, I bet you don't eat at all. Or if you do, it's not good stuff like Mom makes." Hayden got off of his chair and wandered into the kitchen in search of something good.

"Prolly why you look awful, too. Malnourished, like those kids on TV from the poor countries. Betcha Mom worries about that too, but you don't care about that, do you?" Hayden turned to stare at Deskri, but he wasn't there anymore. A frown crept over his face. Where'd he go...? Curious, Hayden searched the open areas, not finding Deskri in any of them. He looked in the front, out in the back, and he wasn't there either.

After ten minutes of looking around but finding nothing, he realized he hadn't checked the bathroom. Ten minutes is a long time to be in the bathroom... Hayden made his way to the sole bathroom in the house, and knocked on the door. Nothing.

He tried the knob, it wasn't locked so the door opened easily but he wasn't prepared for the sight inside.
"SHUT THE DOOR HAYDEN!" Deskri screamed at him, features turning white as soon as he realized he'd been discovered. The sink, bathtub and floor were streaked with bright red blood, Deskri had been in the middle of trying to find bandages to patch himself up.

Hayden stood in the doorway, eyes wide, too mortified by the sight to react to anything.
"I SAID SHUT THE DOOR!" Deskri screamed at him again, but he still couldn't move. Something black rose up off of the floor and launched itself at him, knocking him backward and slamming the door shut all at once.

He laid on his back in the hallway for a few moments, running the visions through his head. His brother had been crouched over, looking through their first aid kit... His face was smeared with that ridiculous eyeliner he wore all the time... He'd been crying. Hayden hadn't ever seen that much blood in person, which was what jump started him back into action. What if his brother died? He hadn't wanted him to die, just to go away and leave him and his mother alone.

"D-Deskri sh-should I call for help?" He sat up, and crawled over to the door and tapped on it again.
"Leave me alone! Don't talk to me, don't come near me! I don't want to see you anymore!" Deskri's voice was clear through the wood, he sounded more upset than he had before, as if he'd started crying again.

"I'm gonna call Mom 'n tell her to come back okay?" Hayden stood up, finally noticing that he was shaking uncontrollably.
"NO YOU CAN'T!" The door opened suddenly, catching Hayden off guard. Deskri stood leaning against the door frame for support. "Y-you can't, she'll g-get angry, th-they'll all g-get angry. Just l-leave me alone, I'm f-f-fine." Deskri slid to the ground, out of breath and unable to hold himself up anymore.

"But you'll die if you keep bleeding!" Hayden moved around Deskri to get into the bathroom, since he knew where the bandages were. He dug them out and then moved back over to Deskri.
"I-I'm not going to die, just l-let me p-patch myself up an-and then stay a-away from me. Y-you're just like him." Deskri weakly snatched the bandages away from Hayden and began to wrap his arms, which he'd cut several lines into. Hayden watched him in silence for a moment. "Who's "him?" I don't understand..." He looked back into the bathroom, feeling a little queasy still.

"Kagyaku, you're just like Kagyaku, get away from me. I don't want you near me! And you're the intruder here, I was born first so if anyone's not welcome, it's you." Deskri hissed his response, having hit one of his cuts the wrong way. "I'll leave you alone after you get in bed... Mom said to use hers..." Hayden frowned, attempting to pull Deskri to his feet once he finished bandaging himself.

After some struggle and resistance, Hayden managed to get Deskri into Asu's bed. He closed all the blinds, and then shut the door behind him. Against Deskri's request, the next thing he did was call Asu.

"Mom? D-Deskri's hurt real bad..."

"What happened? Are you okay?"

"I'm okay... I think he did it to himself, there's blood all over the bathroom..."

".......Do you know what could have set him off? Has he been irritable all day? Has he tried to hurt you?"

"No... he hasn't tried to hurt me... I think it's my fault." Hayden bit his lip, he'd wanted Deskri to leave entirely so he could have his mother's attention, not bring Deskri closer in and lose her attention.

"Hayden, I need you to tell me exactly what's been going on. Has he called anyone to come over?"

"I haven't been very nice... b-because... No, he hasn't called anyone. I-I didn't mean to make him h-hurt himself."

"I'm going to come home early, alright? I'll be there tomorrow, see if you can find his cellphone and call Sonnet. And Hayden, be nice to your brother. He doesn't like hurting people, but that thing inside of him does."

"Mom, Deskri said that "Kagyaku" is gone. And I'll try to find his phone..."

"That would have been nice to know earlier... All right, keep an eye on him even if he says to go away. Call Sonnet, I'll be there as soon as I can."

Hayden hung up the phone and then went about searching for Deskri's cellphone.....
