"She thinks it would blahblahblah teach me some responsibility, blahblahblah." Damon rolled his eyes, using a hand to imitate the flapping of his mother's mouth as she had berated him on being more mature and take responsibility for his actions. There were a lot of rules to this; if he ever forgot to do anything for Belle, his mother was determined to take away the keys to his motorbike. So far, out of fear, he hadn't...
But that also meant that her threat was working.
"Maybe I'll see you when I walk her sometime." He offered. Belle liked meeting people anyway, and it probably would make him less impatient to tug her away if it was someone he knew.

Oh, she could 100% understand the mom chatterbox impression, and let out a bit of a snort as a result. "That's so true! Dude, you could probably do an awesome impression of m'mom too!" When Mom was the rule enforcer in the household, it made sense why she'd be the one to rattle on. Dad never pulled this type of crap, but that was because Dad was cool.
Mom needed to take lessons from Dad. Seriously.
"I take it ya walk 'er through th'park? Or ya walk 'er on some secret dog walk path not meant t'be seen by human eyes?"

In Damon's household, his mother was the rule enforcer too, while his dad preferred to be the casual laidback supporting parent, who liked watching his football matches from the couch. Moms were really all the same, it seemed.
"It's not as if it's some secret I need to hide from the world." He grunted. He had already learned to shrug off the Hillworth incident, although of course, Mom was still a bit sore over it, so what was wrong with walking a dog? It wasn't as if he was one of those guys who was afraid that his tough guy image would be ruined if he was caught walking his dog.
He didn't need to care what others thought.

"Eh, some people do weird a** sh*t! Jus' sayin'!" She smirked in his direction. Casually, she hitched her backpack up higher on her back.
"Well, I ain't gonna hold ya up any longer! Guess I'll see ya 'round th'park with yer dog at some point!" One of her hands held onto the strap of her backpack, while the other reached out in a loose fist. Yeah, she was saying her farewells for the day with a fist-bump. It wasn't exactly like she was Damon's best friend or anything, but at the same time, he wasn't a stranger either.

"See you around then." Damon replied with a curt nod, bumping her fist yet again, though it was as a goodbye this time. The boy then swung onto the seat of his motorbike and started the engine; hopefully he hadn't wasted too much time talking that his mother would take into account and start questioning him about.

If she was a cornball, she might have waved him off in departure too, but Ellie was not a cornball. At least, not with this sort of stuff. She instead watched as he zipped off, arms crossed, nodding in approval. She just needed to get her license, and then she could be doing the simple errands whenever she wanted riding her bike. Oh, that glorious day was going to come soon. She just knew it.
No longer having anything to do, the girl shortly ran off. A new adventure was off somewhere, she just needed to find it for now.
