"It's okay..." Hitsu murmured to Mitsu once Phibrizzo had gone, "I just hope he was telling the truth." The last she didn't really want to explain, but it really did seem that her dear uncle knew her fear. Hitsu had no doubts that sooner or later he would be using it for his own advantage somehow.
"I'm... Hungry." She sounded as unsure as she felt, but continued toward the kitchen anyway. Something to take her mind off of her worries for a little while.

Mitsu didn't understand but didn't question the matter. There was already too much going through her head at the moment. At the mention of food Mitsu nodded. She really wasn't hungry but they were heading this way already.
"We'll still go shopping together right?" She was going to try to be happy about this. There was no reason she shouldn't be. It wasn't the baby's fault.

"Of course!" There had been no hesitation in Hitsu's answer, "I'm looking forward to shopping for baby things, but since I hadn't told anyone just yet... I hadn't really bought anything. So we'll both be starting from scratch, I suppose."
Once in the kitchen, Hitsu retrieved glasses and ice. Pouring them some tea for now, Hitsu settled down into a chair at the table. Maybe just being able to talk with just one person at a time would make her feel better and lessen her tension.
"If one of them is a boy, though, we could always use some of Amon's old clothes. Not always, of course, but it's at least a few outfits we might not have to buy new." Of course, there was the problem that most if not all of the trousers had tail holes... But, considering the genetics there was a possibility of these babies having them as well.
"I just want all of this to go smoothly..." She sighed.

Mitsu nodded, slightly relieved that some of the things she had planned would still pan out. She had looked forward to picking out tiny clothes, bed linens, and toys. There was already a list and magazines with pictures marked on things she liked. In light of the situation she would probably have to change some of her choices around. A lot of the items she had picked out had been cat themed....black cat themed. It had been hard to find anything since black cats didn't tend to fall under the baby cute category but she had given it her best shot and had actually found quite a lot.
Following Hitsu into the kitchen Mitsu took a seat at the table and gladly excepted the tea which she sipped and was relieved to find it wasn't a batch Daphne had made. There was no doubt in Mitsu's mind that she had made tea for Count D, she had a heavy hand with the sugar and right now Mitsu wanted anything but liquid candy.
While Hitsu spoke Mitsu remained quietly focused on the conversation. She heard every word that her housemate was saying but for some reason it was like she was listening through a glass wall. The conversation seemed so far away as she tried to drown out her own thoughts. It wouldn't do any good to dwell on what had happened. Nothing would change it.
"I'm sure everything will," Mitsu smiled as she looked up at Hitsu. "Once Yuki calms down he'll be happy for you. How could he not? He'll have a cute niece or nephew for sure."
Absently Mitsu began to trace a finger over the condensation that was already forming on her glass. "So when will we get to meet him?"

"I... Need to call him." Hitsu replied, staring deliberately at her glass of tea instead of at Mitsu. It would only be 'him' for now, surely the awkwardness of finding out that there were two potential fathers could wait until one or both had gotten here.
"That is, he told me to call him when I wanted him here." Reaching into her pocket, Hitsu pulled out her new cell phone. Hanse had given it to her to replace the one that Yuki had broken a few hours ago. She looked at it uncertainly.
"How long do you think I should wait?"

Mitsu watched Hitsu for a moment, confusion painting her face as the other girl stared at her glass. There seemed to be something a little off but Mitsu couldn't quite put her finger on it. Then her attention was drawn to the new phone in Hitsu's hand.
"I don't know that I can answer that question," Mitsu smiled apologetically. "If you want him here you should call him. If you don't you should wait until you do."
While they were on the subject, Mitsu decided to dive in with curiosity. She had yet to meet this man nor had she even heard that Hitsu was dating. So on a whole this was a large mystery that had been kept tightly secret and Mitsu was dying to know. "So what's he like, this guy? Did he give you the new phone?"

Did she want him here now? Them here now? Yes and no. Hitsu wanted to confront Skye, that was for damn sure, and when she did Hanse would have to be there to back up what he had said to her earlier.
Mitsu's question brought a little smile to Hitsu's face, "Yeah, he gave it to me." As for what he was like, she wasn't quite sure how to answer. She'd known him for so long, yet now he seemed so... Different than he had been during their past meetings. Not the dangerous creature that she remembered. Or was he only exposing his gentler side to her?
"He's... A bit complicated." Hitsu decided finally, "but I really do think his heart is in the right place."
Thinking about Hanse again left her mulling over the idea of going ahead and calling him. What could it hurt? They both wanted to help her with the baby, so they had to come over sometime. She couldn't hide them forever, not now.
"Well, here goes nothing." Hitsu murmured, and dialed in Hanse's phone number and pressed the call button before putting it to her ear.

Hanse reached into his pocket, and pulled his cell phone out. Looking at the caller ID on the outside, he flipped the phone open as he brought it to his ear. "Hello?" He spoke calmly as he looked up to his house, and held out his free hand towards it. "I assume you're ready for me?" His eyes narrowed barely as he waited for her response, and the air around his outstretched hand began to shiver with heat.

"Hey," Hitsu answered, looking up to Mitsu with a bit of a sheepish smile. In the back of her mind, she had wondered if he'd even answer.
"Yeah, come on over if you're ready to."
A moment of hesitation, as she thought over whether she should ask or not. "Can you bring him, too? I'd probably be braver about confronting him if you're present to back me up."

Hanse's eye twitched lightly, and his hand flared with a white heat just a moment before his house erupted in flames, followed by the sound of the rushing wind to fuel the fire. He cleared his throat before speaking, "Sure, no problem." He inhaled loudly, "I'll go get him now and we'll be at your place shortly thereafter."

The loud fwoosh on the other end of the line made her furrow her brow, "What was that?"
Hitsu winced a little at Hanse's reply, catching the displeasure between his words. "Thank you," she offered, "I'll see you soon."

Hanse blinked a little, "What was what?" His ears picked up on the sound of sirens in the distance. "Must've just been the wind." He turned away from his burning house and started walking away from it like he hadn't even noticed. "Anything else you'd like for me to pick up on my way there?"

"But... It's not windy outside today..."
"Uh. No. I don't think there's anything else."
A pause, she was picking up a new sound on the line. "Are those sirens?"

"Hm? What?" He noticed the sirens were a good deal louder. "The phones don't work during teleporting, call me back if you need anything. Skye and I will be there shortly." With that, he hung up before letting her hear anymore of what was going on, or get in any more words in to delay him.

Once he had hung up, Hitsu sighed. "I think he's destroyed something again." She set the phone down onto the table, turning her attention back to Mitsu.
"They should be here in a few minutes."
