Zenny gasped at the sight of an exploding teddy bear, shock overcoming his once-happy expression. This was gonna be hard for him, not because of his skill level, but because of his little heart.. "Nooo~!" Dramatically, the little boy flung both arms up over his head, spinning on the tip of one of his toes. He then proceeded to curl into a little ball, holding his knees and hunched into a little pose. The silent little ball he had became suddenly plopped over, rolling a few feet. Zenny's dramatic little show ended once he began to think again. "I don't even like teddy bears! Bunny's are much cuter!" Giggling, he hopped up from his depressed position, clambering towards a chain and bear. " A flow of electricity.. Maybe it works by concentrating the spiritual energy along the paths, and enabling it to attain the lightning property.. Like byakurai~.. Yeah, that's probably it. To fire it off, I gotta first make a spark, then work on that small release and spread it through the chain." Having thought to himself for a while, Zenny felt he was ready to try the kido. The desired effect was to obliterate the bear, by surging lightning based spiritual energy through the chains. With the long link in hand, he began to walk opposite where the little bear sat on the ground. He stopped walking once the chain was completely stretched, and dangling off the ground; at least a fifteen foot difference. "Concentrate.. Make the spark.. Spike your reiastu and ignite the end!" He kept repeating this silently to himself, entering the same trance he'd used earlier to concentrate and flow his spiritual energy. The energy began to emanate from his small body, seeping upwards before dulling down to a nearly translucent vision. He stood calm, and motionless, both hands grasped lightly on the chain. Small sizzling noises sounded every so often, as tiny yellow sparks began to spread out.

. . . Minutes passed and time went on, the boy still holding the chain and focusing. His hands, at this point, were almost glowing yellow while radiating there own small sparks and miniature-bolts and such. His eyes slowly began to open, looks of determination glazing through them. The stern, and somewhat mature, expression soon became an easier to recognize one. Zenny suddenly tightened his grip on the links, the yellow aura becoming a darkish green to cover him. "Hado number eleven.. Tsuzuri Raiden! Bound lightning!" Upon Zenny's chanting of the techniques name, his hands sparked annoyingly. A large zip-lining noise followed as electricity flowed ever so quickly through the chains and struck the bear. Almost immediately, the poor little thing was destroyed. Its cotton guts were spread like confetti, spread about all over the ground in its immediate area, and then some! Zenny stood ground, hands still gripped on the tingling chord. He quickly dropped the chain upon sight of the exploded bear, giggling and hopping up and down with pure excitement! "I did it! I did it! That was so fun~! Not to mention a bit easier then the last one! Gosh, I wanna do som'more!" Zenny smiled towards his teacher, Genji, running over and nodding his head in hopes of a compliment. He thought he'd done a good job, but his own thoughts didn't matter when someone like Genji could judge him.. In this case, his opinion meant quite a lot.

Evie cringed at the explosion and took a step back. She had already outgrown teddybears, but seeing it explode made her a liittle queasy. She smiled a little at Zenny's reaction. "I'll be sure to buy you a bunny for your birthday and cook it," she teased. Turning back to the task at hand, she grabbed a bear with a wire. She stared at it and poked it's stomach slightly. Lightning was definitely not Evie's specialty. Remembering her days back on earth, she had nearly failed the electricity test. There was too many formulas and her math was not the best. "Current...current equals charge divided by time," she remembered. Then tapping a finger on her chin, she concluded, "So, the faster I do this hado and the more charge I put into it, the higher the current." She held the teddy bear by its wire and arm's length away and focused. Evie stared at the bear angrily. The wire was a conductor, so the transfer of electrons or, in this case, reiatsu should be simpler. Her hand started to spark and her reiatsu was flying off around her hands. "Hado #11!" she yelled. A steady stream of lightning hit the teddy bear, but it wasn't strong enough. The bear had turned slightly black and was giving off a burnt smell.

Giving a sigh of frustration, Evie glared at the teddy bear. "I always start the kido too quickly!" she frowned. Narrowing her eyes, she squinted at the bear. "I'll be so glad when I blow you up," she hissed as it. Tossing her hair, she straightened up and tried again. This time, she rubbed her hand on the sleeve of her uniform to give it a charge. Her other hand was gripping the wire, prepared to bring it to her charged hand when she was ready. She immediately began concentrating on the reiatsu flowing towads her hand. Yellow sparks began flying again, stronger this time, with the added static charge. It started sparking and flying intensely faster and faster. Evie brought the wire from her other hand to her reiatsu concentrated hand. "Hado #11!!" It connected, and a surge of lightning flew across the wire, straight in to the bear's belly. It shot sraight through the bear like a spear, a picture perfect moment as the toy sailed in the air and imploded. It's arms, legs, head were all seperated as they all landed with a dull thud against the soft grass. Wiping her hands together, she gave a proud smile. 'Whaddya think, Genji-senpai?"

Laughter was hard to surpress, so Genji just let it out. His students were so sweet and adorable in their cute mannerisms. Not only were they sweet and pleasant, they were skilled and learned very quickly. He knew that they were going to be a fantastic Shinigami and friends.
"Excellent work, both of you!" Genji cheered, still laughing. "I am very impressed at your progress. You should be very proud. I was a bit worried about teaching this next spell, seeing as it is rather complicated, but now I believe that it won't be any trouble for you two." Genji put himself into a proper pose and stopped laughing to even out his breathing. "Bakudo #30 is a complex spell. It is the last spell Zenny-kun requested, but Tapioca-san wants Bakudo #39 as well. If you wish, Zenny-kun, you can stick around and learn that one too if you want. Anyway, back to Bakudo #30. This spell is tricky because it requires focusing of reiatsu, of course, precision, and quickness. Unlike the last two spells, this one needs more attention. I had my share of trouble with it so don't be discouraged if you mess up. Here is what makes it hard. With you index finger, you need to form a triangle, linking the swipes of reiatsu at the corners. But you need to be fast or else the reiatsu were dissipate. Making sure to be fast is made harder by having to make sure your triangle comes out right. It won't work if you make scribbles. Watch me. You will want to target on of the rocks for practice."
The tip of Genji's right index finger became inflamed with reiatsu. He breathed easily.
"Bakudo #30 Beak-Piercing Triple Beam!"
As his slashed the air diaginally, a golden streak lingered. The following lighting swipes connected in a perfect, golden triangle. Blades formed at the corners. Suddenly, the triangle surged and flew forth. Each blade nailed the rock, piercing it and making it crack. The cracks raced forth and connected. Soon the rock shattered into bits.
"You turn."

"Hm..? This one seems kinda harder... But speed is an element in it! That's a bad combination. We have to do many things in a certain time period, while concentrating, and painting triangles!" The boy seemed to be 'Shaken' by all this, spirals beginning to replace his pupils. The little boy comedically began to walk forward, dynamically flailing his arms to symbolize the movements and speed explanation.. The only upside was the energy concentration part. His place of expertise! "I'm not that fast, and I draw like a kindergartner with a green crayon!" Scaring himself even further, the boy trembled and suddenly threw both fist out and above his head. After a moment of silence, he shouted towards the sky! "..I'm gonna totally get this!" Green flames suddenly replaced the spirals in his eyes, a sign of his calm and burning passion! Without mentioning anything else, he would begin to set out on completing the kido. Zenny's left hand suddenly formed a new pose, the index and middle fingers coming together. He sighed once to himself before the end ignited with spiritual energy. The yellow tinted energy shone brightly and shot out little sparks that went every which way. The boy held the arm out, and to the right of him so that he could begin shaping the triangle. His first attempt wasn't a very good one, as he tried to fast and resulted in a lop-sided fashion. The sides of his triangle were connected, but made an odd shape! The energy immediately dispersed, and evaporated due to the failure. Afterwords, Zenny found himself taking a few steps back to assess his problem.

"Ok.. Um. I went a bit too fast that time! My shape was really bad. Now, I think I need to practice from there!" Reassuring himself with a nod, he reignited his left hand and fueled it with less energy. On the tip of his index finger, he held a green orb. As he moved, the orb created a little streak behind itself. He practiced drawing visible triangles for a good seven minutes straight, sweat beginning to form on his face due to the massive amounts of concentration it took to retain speed, keep up ample amounts of power, and draw straight enough. A good while passed, and eventually.. He could do it~! He found himself easily able to draw, and connect at the focal points in time to create the triangle. Smiling wearily, the boy would take a stance, legs shoulder width apart, and throw out his left arm. The tip of the finger began to glow intently, the hyperactive 'Sparkler' from before returning. This time, however, it seemed calmer. Zenny let out a slow, deep breath, and the sparks died. Instead of the uncontrolled sparks there was simply a glowing translucent energy covering his finger. A sly smile peeked onto the boy's face as he chanted the technique's name.. "Bakudo number thirty! Shitotsu Sansen!" At that signal, his entire hands became invisible, shrouded in yellow spiritual energy. Zenny's hand began to move at an admirable speed rate, drawing a perfect triangle that stayed active upon being completed. After this, his hands stopped glowing and he struck a fighting pose. Immediately, the kido took full effect and the triangular shaped blades shot forth from each corner of the technique. They each moved at high speed, slamming into a tree and causing lines to form. After a few seconds, splinters began to pop off of it's exterior and the entire upper half of the structure fell to the ground. Zenny stood huffing, a large ecstatic smile plastered onto his face. "I got'et! Yes!"

Evie smiled, Bakudo was her favorite kido type. Though this particular spell required her to be quicker, instead of contemplating on every step. She turned towards a wall of rocks and calmly faced it. She pointed her index finger at the wall and concentrated on getting her reiatsu to it. She's done it quite a few times now, and was getting the hang of it. It took less time than usual to get a pretty good sum of energy in her finger. Soon she felt that the reiatsu in her finer was enough. "Bakudo #30!" Evie drew a little triangle in the air. It was glowing dully as it connected, and small blades flew out from each corner. As it raced through the air, it disappeared before even hitting the rocks. The triangle had faded already too. She turned to look at her finger quizzically. "Hmph, so the triangle has to be big, not small. How inconvinient," she muttered. She had tried to see if she could bend the speed rule. Sighing, she had to try a couple more times. This is trickier than I thought.

Her triangle needed to be bigger, which meant biggger arms movements. She had to actually swing her arm across and diagonally to creat the right sized triangle. Evie felt embarassed. She felt weird swinging her arms around maniacally. Making the triangle was what the conductor of a band did when he wanted to keep the rhythm at 3/4. She had spent an entire music class back in London learning it, and a bunch of italian words that had to do with how to play music. She closed her eyes and pretended she was conducting a orchestra. It brought up memories of her friends, when they used to ditch their band practice and go to Starbucks. A pang of regret hit her, but she shook it off and tried to block off all memories of them. She turned her attention back to the Bakudo. Her arm was moving at a constant rhythm, like the sound of a drum. "Now that I can do the triangle, I'll do it faster!" she decided. It was getting easy, and it seemed like her triangles were right. She began focusing her reiatsu towards the index finger and waited as her finger began to glow and spark. "Bakudo #30!" She drew the triangle in the air, the points all connected. She took a couple steps back and at her command, the blades flew from the corners and headed towards the wall of rocks. The landed with such great force, the rocks immediately began to crack and break. The cracks broke along the wall and small boulders rained down to the ground. Evie shielded her eyes against the sun and admired her handiwork. "How about that, Genji-senpai?"

"Excellent work, both of you!" Genji cheered. "You have taken to all of these spells well. Zenny-kun, I almost forgot. The rules say that unseated members can only learn up to 35, so I can't teach you Bakudo #39 unless you have special permission. Sorry, it slipped my mind. So now I believe you're done for today. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope to see you again. If you need a friend for anything, I'm almost always availabe to help out a friend. Your skills are commendable. Be proud." He turned to Evie. "We will begin shortly. I do think that a break is a good idea after three kido. I wouldn't want to drain you."
((Sorry about the fast and short post. I have some stuff going on this week, so I don't know when I can get back to good RPing. Keep checking for me to up date the thread with the next lesson.))

"It's fine, mister Genji! I had fun today! I'm happy you could teach me all this new stuff, too!" Without warning, the boy began to jog towards the man. He swiftly buried his face and cheek onto his chest, smooshing himself in as cute a fashion as possible. Without looking up, he repeated a swift 'Thank You! and backed away bowing neatly. "I'll see the both of ya' later on! Maybe later we can hang out, Evie! You too, Genji! We'll get ice cream, or visit the garden in my division!" Without awaiting an answer, he turned and jet off. He was happy to have gotten some new kido within his first week as an official Shinigami. He'd also made some cool friends in the process, and that could only be accepted as an extremely awesome plus! Zenny had already set himself off on the right foot, and felt pretty good for it.
(See ya' later Genji! I had fun with ya' here! I'm already RPing with you elsewhere, Evie, but I'll still say bye.. Bye! XD)

((I'm back now. smile ))
Genji was touched by Zeneiki. He was an absolutely pure-hearted individual. That was something Genji loved. Hugs were one of the things Genji missed the most after living home for the Seireitei. It was such a high that the hug gave Genji that he was stunned in a euphoria for several seconds, staring after the sweet child that scampered off in childish bliss.
Suddenly, Genji remembered that he still had a student to teach. He spun around to see Evie waiting.
"Right then," said Genji, slapping his hands together. "Shall we begin? I thinks so. This kido is quite advance and a difficult to master, but when you have it under you belt, it will be extremely useful. I like to think of it as Bakudo #8 Repulse on steroids," Genji snickered at his own joke, "similar concept but much, much more useful and effective. As you know, Repulse creates a shield that you create with your reiatsu. Bakudo #39 requires much more reiatsu. You will shape your reiatsu as before you a shape, preferably a circle or ellipse, as so."
Genji stood perfectly still. Not a muscle moved. However, his chest continued to move up and down with his breathing, steady in a constant rhythm. His gorgeous, shimmering, emerald green reiatsu was shaping around him.
"Next," he said, "condense the reiatsu. You need a clear image in your head of what you want the shield to look like. Bakudo #39 Ark Shield!"
A mirror-shaped shield of green reiatsu was perfectly formed in front of the motionless Genji. He just continued his steady breathing.
"Of course, standing like this isn't practical in battle but good for a nifty demonstration. Concentrate, that is the best thing I can tell you. Start off slow too. This one doesn't need to be rushed in the learning phase. Take you time."
((Since this is the hardest one on your list, you will need 3 posts to learn it. Good luck. smile ))

After listening to Genji’s instructions, Evie gave a short nod. This was going to be a harder Kido to master, but she was sure she could do it. She stood still and closed her eyes. In a real battle situation, this would be a really dumb thing to do, but since she was just training, it doesn’t matter and it helped her concentrate. Evie tried to relax, but learning the Kido was exciting, and she couldn’t help shaking. She gave a short laugh and tried to stop moving. It was hard for her, being really exuberant and loud, she can’t make herself stand still. She clenched her fists to focus, and began concentrating on spreading the reiatsu in front of her. The reishi was humming and vibrating, moving rapidly away, then clashing back together. Her control over it was wavering, and the concentration of reiatsu was spread out too much. Beads of sweat began forming on her head and neck. The amount of reiatsu and concentration this took was exhausting. Not being able to hold on anymore, Evie dropped her focus, and the group of reiatsu in front of her dispersed.

█ ▌ﻫ Evie Tapioca ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ˚ Evie’s shoulder relaxed after letting go of her concentration. She took her hand and wiped the sweat from her forehead, brushing her bangs out of the way at the same time. “Wow, I can’t believe how much strain this takes!” she muttered, frustrated. “I’ve got to find a way to make it easier for me to gather my reiatsu together.” Once again, Evie suht her eyes and began concentrating. This time, she tried imagining what would happen if the Kido was successful. She felt her reiatsu transfer to the air and waver. It took less time than her last try, but it still wasn’t as steady as Genji’s demonstration. Evie opened one eye to see what had happened. Yes, the reiatsu was gathered in front of her, and they were bound tight together, but it was in a meaningless shape. Breathing out, Evie tried to make the cluster into a desired shape. An elipse would be the easiest. She pictured the top and bottom elongating, to create an oval. The particles moved around and began forming her desired shape. It wasn’t as fast as she would like it to be, but it was enough.

█ ▌ﻫ Evie Tapioca ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ˚ Now that Evie had the shape and reishi particles under control, she decided to try out the Hado. “Bakudo #39!” she whispered, fearing that if she said it too loudly, it’ll disrupt the shape of her reiatsu. In front of her eyes, the reiatsu began thining out and glowing purple. Instead of looking like dust particles floating in mid-air, it became some sort of mildly clear drops of water giving off light. They stuck together and formed a clear shield, covering most of Evie’s height. Of course, all of this happened in seconds. She held the shield together for about 5 seconds, then dropped to the ground in exhaustion. She landed on her back, and lay down, tired. “So strained from too much concentrating.” she moaned. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Just as suddenly as she dropped to the ground, she shot back up. Her face was red from the effot and focus.
