More swearing. What good was a flying blade if all it did was tear girls' dresses? Although... well, he'd save that thought for later.
"It'll get me your starseed, baby, so don't knock it till you've tried it," he shot back at Scylla, breath coming out like white smoke. "In fact, hey, congratulations, consider yourself next! It's your first time, so I'll be gentle, I promise."
His eyes slid toward Nealite briefly as she egged him on, and the boomerang had suddenly appeared back in his hand again as though it had never left. A neat trick, but each time he summoned it back to hand, it was that much more draining. A few more times and he'd have to retrieve it himself. Now, what the hell could this senshi do? He'd have to find out from afar first, and without Sailor Virgo in the way. "Oh man, Nealite, I'm so intimidated. So, this kid wants bite?"
Hematite launched himself into the air, leapfrogging Virgo and landing in a crouch a little ways past her. The pavement was a cold shock to his bare hand that steadied him. Grinning at Merope, the boomerang went swinging from his hand again, low to the ground. Without waiting to see what would happen, he got to his feet again and broke into a run, prepping his hands for the boomerang's magical return. That shot wouldn't do any significant damage, probably couldn't even breach the leather, but a boomerang lodged in anyone's boot would have to knock them off balance long enough for him to rush them. Without bothering to look back, he called to Nealite, "I've got this jackass under control-"
Nealite could take care of the other two senshi. After all, she was already making her move on Virgo. Hematite, meanwhile, was armed again, though the wear of his little magic trick was starting to show already in such a short time. They were too close for throwing, him and Merope. No, there was no need. Gripping it by one of the handy arrow handles, he brought it down for the first slash with a wild shout, intending to cut a third scar into the senshi's exposed chest to match the first two.

She listened to the banter, still picking at the tear in her dress; well, at least it could be fixed later. Also, Scy was really clever! Virgo wished she was anywhere near that clever. Then all the Negaversers would stop to listen to her witty banter and she could, um... She didn't know. But it would still be cool, to be good at witty repartee.
(Only, Virgo thought that Captain Nealite was very pretty in her uniform. She did not look old. This would be something to tell Scy later.)
"It was kind of manly," she said to Scylla, shrugging and rubbing her hand. "I am impressed." Which wasn't saying much; she was easily impressed. That was a fact of life. Virgo lived to be impressed by other people. She was impressed by something about everyone there, which was saying something as two of them probably wanted to kill her.
The boomerang disappeared from beside her foot. Virgo gasped, not even pretending to be shocked. "Where did it go," she asked. Lucky for her, the first place she looked was Hematite; it spared her looking like she was mocking anyone. When the Negaverse agent jumped over her--kind of like leap frog, she thought--she crashed down, scraped her palms and one knee. This, too, brought a loud but not exceptionally pained ow. She pushed herself up, staring at the boomerang's first swing. Then, hearing Hematite's challenge, she swung her hand out and shouted: "Virgo Immaculate Reflection!"
Her green glow faded, transferred itself to Merope; he was the one in danger, and she had to protect him. The Zodiacs held the line; there was no line to hold, so in the meantime, she protected the weaker moon court. Once she was sure she had protected Merope, she turned to Nealite and brought up her hands, wrapped them into fists. "I don't want to hurt you," she said, a warning tone in her voice; "Scy, get behind me, please?"
She hoped the younger senshi would listen.

"Hematite, darling, I like it rough." Scylla allowed her voice to be a purr. Scylla's eyes narrowed as she watched the two Negaversers move. Hematite was fast. And that level of agility was something she hadn't yet mastered. It was a good thing they had help, because at the moment, all she could do was trip them and GTFO. The hand that had been bitten a few nights before ached as she clenched it into a fist, nails digging into the palm.
The boomerang's disappearance didn't shock her as it had Virgo. Somehow, it didn't surprise her. It would have been more impressive if it had actually gone back to its master's hand in the traditional way, however.
Dark hair fell over one shoulder as she moved for Virgo on the other young woman's quiet request. Scylla's attention went primarily to Hematite; the male was engaging in combat with Merope, but she wasn't taking any chances with those tricksy (tricksy tricksy) Negaversers; Virgo was paying more attention to Nealite.
So this was Virgo's fight face? It made Scylla uncomfortable that her friend was protecting the person who was getting into melee combat. "Virgo," she whispered it, back to her and Nealite, "If that b***h gets within 5 meters of us, you damn well better tell me." And knowing Virgo, her companion was opening her mouth to chide her for being mean. "You can tell me to stop being mean later." She wouldn't let the older woman close enough to touch her already endangered friend. Scylla knew what Virgo's power did, and she'd be damned if the other girl would take damage from two separate sources. Merope, you better be able to dodge.
That was when she caught it from the corner of her eye, before Virgo needed to warn her. A flash of color that said Nealite was making her move. Attacking Virgo and herself. Scylla had the choice to defend or to be protected, and she was already damn tired of being protected. She stepped around the Zodiac senshi, her face impassive as she spoke loudly enough for all of the combatants to hear.
"I'm Sailor Scylla. Senshi of the Kraken. And you shouldn't have woken the sleeping monster."
It might not be impressive to Nealite at the moment, but what happened next hopefully would be. As soon as Nealite was within 2 meters of the pair, Scylla spoke again. "Scylla's Sorrow." At her quiet words, two tentacles erupted from the ground, grabbing at their prey. Nealite. Wailing in her ears, the undefined mourning of Scylla's soul.
Virgo had told her senshi were supposed to kill these Negaversers. And Scylla was not feeling merciful. Her hands were shaking as she willed the tentacles to grab the enemy. Grab. Hold. Crush. the senshi willed them silently.
Prey. That one feeling was her power's silent response.

The pirate senshi frowned at Hematite as he made his lewd remarks to Scylla. "I'm sure you would," he muttered, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. Why was he getting all the attention?! He -- whoa. Did his weapons just reappear in his hands?! What?! He blinked and watched in half-amazement as the egged-on Negaverser leaped into the air, grinned, and threw his boomerang.
If Merope paid more attention to the break dancers that took up residency in some of Destiny City's parks, then he probably would have attempted to first fling himself to the ground and lift himself up on one arm, allowing the boomerang to pass beneath where his feet would have been. Or perhaps he'd have gone a step further and gone down and swished his legs up in a circle for full effect while scraping his bare arms against the pavement. As it were, Merope instead tried to side-step the crescent disk, and managed to side-step enough into the boomerang's path to jolt into his boot mid-step, nearly knocking him over.
But, ah! The boomerang vanished as a green glow enveloped him. He thought he recognized it -- didn't a similar glow surround the senshi with a torn dress earlier? The thought was shrugged off as Hematite appeared, slashing his weapon and causing Merope to stumble back. He regained his balance and gave a feral grin to Hematite. That didn't hurt at all! "Ha! Nice try! Wave fist!" Merope drew his right fist back, shouting his ability's magic words and bringing it forward. As he did, his arm appeared to be enveloped in water in the form of a wave, the crest of it matching his first.
Unknown to him at the moment, however, Hematite's weapon did do damage -- just not to him...

As Hematite was leaping over Virgo to attack Merope, the older girl was rushing towards the skirt-clad duo. Her mirror was raised, her grin wide - until Virgo began to scream.
Startled, the orange haired Captain stopped in her tracks, caught off guard with the girl's ear piercing shriek. But Hematite had gone for Merope....?
And yet Virgo was bleeding. Excessively. It didn't take but a split second for Nealite to realize that she was bleeding from the exact same areas that Hematite had been cutting into Merope, who looked no worse after having a razor sharp boomerang slashed across him. How was she able to take on the other boy's wounds?
There was no time to dwell, however, as Sailor Scylla bellowed out her attack's cry. The Captain turned to watch her, but the sudden movement around the ground beneath her quickly had her backtracking her steps.
But it was too late, even for the lithe Nealite. Two long tentacles emerged from the grass beneath her boots and quickly wrapped themselves around her legs, their slimy skin sending instant shivers throughout her body. While one remained attached to her leg, the other began to roam up her waist, and soon, Virgo was not the only one screaming for help.
Nealite had seen Pirates of the Caribbean. She knew what a Kraken was and she remembered what had happened to poor handsome Johnny Depp in that movie. And it wasn't good. At all.
Her screams grew louder, more panicked. Her eyes were wide, watching the gross arms sliding and moving across her beautiful body. The tentacles' grip were growing tighter around her, despite the forceful squirming and wriggling the older girl was doing. Her mirror came crashing down on the slimy suckers from hell, but even a firm smack with her weapon did nothing to them.
Growing frantic, one hand scrambled for her side pocket - why wasn't he paying attention to her screaming?? - and withdrew a small plastic yellow object.
A whistle. More specifically, a rape whistle.
Moving her head down and wincing as the suckers on one giant slimy limb drew closer to her face, she was able to slip the mouthpiece of the whistle between her lips before the tentacle wrapped itself around her arm, rendering her immobile.
Lifting her head, she tilted upwards and began to blow.

Hematite hadn't had enough time to decipher the meaning of the glow surrounding Sailor Merope. If it was anything dangerous, like some kind of stupid force field or magic trick, well, he wasn't hitting the ******** senshi with his bare hands just in case. But everything he did with the boomerang was having no effect. By now, his victim ought to have lost a considerable amount of blood, like popping a water balloon. He should have been howling and wounded and easy to snag a star seed out of. Like whoever was screaming back there - definitely wasn't Nealite at least, as she had a very distinctive scream.
Invincible senshi were not something he'd come prepared for, though. For a few seconds too long, he gripped his inexplicably blood-free boomerang while he stared at the senshi, mind racing. It was long enough for the completely uninjured pirate senshi to try a counterattack. Hematite stumbled back a couple steps, soaked, sore, and infuriated from the accuracy of the punch. Being hit by a magical wave of cold water in 30-degree weather did not improve his temperament. Or his long-term planning. He'd take one more shot and then-
It happened quickly, to the cacophony of screaming and shrill whistling not far behind him. A blind lurch and lunge forward, a sharp sweep, taking a gamble to finish his opponent off while he left himself wide open. There was still salt water dripping from his ragged dreadlocks and jacket as he jabbed. One spiked metal arrow of the boomerang plunged into Merope's unprotected abdomen. The thing he still hadn't realized was that it was Virgo who suffered for it.

Virgo never attacked unless someone was hurt first, or if she thought she might be in danger. Nealite had yet done nothing, so the look she gave Scylla was more shocked than approving at the action. She nodded, but quickly became distracted from the fight going on between Merope and Hematite. Hopefully the boy she'd protected was not such a rank newbie as she'd assumed--
In retrospect, that was futile hope, and even Virgo knew it.
The first slash didn't hurt right away; it was when she noticed the blood staining her fuku that she started to scream. Pain came after, quickly, more pain than she knew what to do with. She collapsed and folded in on herself, arms over the slashing injuries on her chest. There was no time for recriminations, no time to think that she might drop the attack; she was so dizzy, she threw up at the blood.
She didn't faint; she didn't drop the attack. Her screaming cut off with a whimper as her shaking fingers probed the new rent in her side. The pain previously was no longer as sharp and clean, but now... diffused. Burning. She knew just enough to know that was bad, really bad.
It was really a miracle she was holding onto her henshin.

So much screaming. Scylla whirled, back to Nealite as Virgo shrieked; the orange-haired woman was in a panic, securely wrapped up. Oh ********, Virgo was bleeding, and it didn't look good. Bile built in her throat, the world spun.
Virgo went silent.
Scylla's eyes flew up to watch Hematite starting to stab at Merope, and all Scylla knew was that if that attack connected, Virgo would not make it. She could do this, right? Hematite was a further range than she'd ever tried to attack before, could she? Oh god, if she didn't- And if Merope got-
It was sheer adrenaline that got the octopus-like limb from the ground, to try to wrap around the dark-skinned Negaverser's leg and pull him away from Merope. Get him away from Merope. Make him stop hurting Virgo.
Virgo of the sweet, friendly smile and the kind heart.
Her arms wrapped around the girl (her height, she'd never noticed this before) as Virgo started to fall for the ground, supporting her. It was hard to hold a girl your size and weight like a princess, but Scylla managed to, the side that had been pierced pressed to Scylla's fuku.
She let her power go, encouraging the attack to continue. Crush Nealite. Break Nealite. Hold the prey. Catch the other. Hold them. It was when the second tentacle tore itself from the ground near Hematite and Scylla felt the drain that she knew she had to go now. She had to get away, with Virgo, before her strength was gone. She wouldn't be able to hold the number of limbs for long, not at the drain of Nealite's struggling, and the time she'd already spent using it.
Merope was on his own, with a bound Nealite to keep her out of the picture, and two tentacles trying desperately to capture the worm-headed boy.
Scylla was moving. She was leaving! GTFO(ing) and all that rot (Virgo was secure in her arms, held like a baby as Scylla murmured mindless promises to her); Virgo needed more help than SHE could give her, and Scylla didn't exactly have the senshi version of 911 in her cell phone.

He wasn't a pro boxer, and never took lessons in kick-boxing. His punch was nothing more than an imitation that was seen on television, abet with a portable ocean wave. Even that in itself was a drawback, for while Hematite's front was soaked (at least not too much water got onto his pants -- the captain would probably have suffered several jests from his underlings if a majority of the water was in that region), Merope's right arm and side was soaked as well. It was a chilling wake-up call, one that got worse when the screaming began.
The boy's head jerked up as Virgo began screaming, followed by Nealite as Scylla's tentacles attacked. The little yellow rape whistle wasn't helping matters either, nor was Hematite's second attack. Merope saw him lunge forward, trying to twist out of the way before the weapon sank in.
It went in. IT. WAS. IN. HIM. The boy gasped, disbelieving -- if it was in him, then where was the pain? He couldn't hear any screaming -- all that was left was the tweeeeeeeeeeeeee! shrill of the rape whistle, nor did he notice when Virgo and Scylla took flight. His world was currently focused on the black boomerang lodged in him.
The Captain's grip loosened on the boomerang, sliding from his fingers as Merope stumbled backwards. His gloved hands shook as he grabbed hold of the boomerang and pulled it free, holding the bloodless tip up for inspection. No... blood? How could that be?! The green glow from Virgo's attack was fading, dying as the boy rubbed his side where the boomerang struck.
Olive eyes managed to pry themselves away from the dark weapon to look at Hematite, wide with disbelief before narrowing with disgust. The weapon landed with a clatter at the negaverser's boots, followed by the senshi wiping his own gloved hand on his pants as if to clean them. It was now that the senshi boy realized the other skirted girls had fled -- and a glance at Nealite still shrieking with her whistle, and the realization of hey she has a whistle was enough to jolt him from his stupor, prompting him to turn and leap away quickly. It wouldn't do him any good for someone to recognize the yellow whistle's call for what it is and give senshi a name other than "terrorist," right?

She hadn't been paying attention to Merope. Or Hematite. Or Scylla or Virgo, for that matter. Instead, her entire focus was on her poor body as it continued to find itself assaulted by the wriggly tentacles of Scylla's attack.
The whistle fell and she returned to screaming. It was humiliating, it was terrifying and it was disgusting. Who in their right mind used tentacles as weapons? This was like some sort of twisted sick movie, where Nealite got to play the beautiful damsel in distress. And the knight to save her was currently <******** ignoring her.
Looking up, she saw the tentacles begin to attack and hold Hematite.
Okay, well. ******** took several more seconds of panicked screaming and struggling before the tentacles began to loosen around her. Soon enough, they returned to the mysterious underground depths from where they had surfaced, and Nealite found herself dashing over to kick and pull at the tentacles closing in around Hematite's legs. One heel punctured through a slimy limb, making a gruesome sucking sound as she pulled her shoe from out of the monster. This was just ******** up.
The senshi had already fled, a wounded Virgo in tow. With any luck, she'd die before they could get her help, but it already seemed that luck was against them today. They'd practically had this battle - ******** tentacles.
