"When I go there will be crows to carry me off... I see none flying in the sky tonight, so maybe luck will be on my side." She let the sphere build until it was roughly the size of a softball, the energy occasionally flicking to lick at her covered fingers. Was she hesitating?
Sailor Corvus did not attack without reason and, at the moment, the Negaverse agent was not moving. She was not a threat just standing there, but that did not mean that she was going to let her guard down. No, she was just waiting to see what move the other girl would make.

Sass noticed the hesitation and it worried her slightly. She wasn't sure about this senshi, well actually with most they seemed to not actually want to fight maybe this one didn't either?
"Why is it none of you lot want to fight but you all want us dead?" She had to ask, she was curious. She was still more then ready to run straight towards the dead body and use it as cover if need be but she wasn't going to move while the senshi wasn't attacking. She wasn't about to do something that might provoke her to attack and she was pretty sure moving would provoke her!

"Maybe you should rethink what you just said. My guess is that you're a Lieutenant, right? You're new to this... Still guessing at the ins and outs..." Chloe had told her about the militaristic nature of the Negaverse so she figured she might be safe in her assumption. If not she was more than certain that the red-head would correct her.
"If none of us want to fight you... Why would we want you dead? I certainly don't want to kill you, which I'm pretty sure I already told you. I won't kill you, but I'll stop you if I have to." It was her duty, every bit as much as finding her Princess and regaining peace was... Preferably before the Captain of the Cavaliers offed everyone.

Sass had no reason to rethink what she had just said. It was obvious the senshi wanted them dead, and she had been told this as well. However every senshi she had come across so far didn't seem all that interested in killing. How very very odd.
"Assume what you wish. I have no reason to rethink what I just said. You just said you don't want to kill me, doesn't mean you don't want me dead or that you should be killing me, your just not going to. Thats all fine and dandy but you also said you will stop me if you have to, showing reluctance to fight. You aren't the first senshi I have come across and I doubt you will be the last but for warriors none of you seem to like the idea of fighting. You do it sure but do any of you actually enjoy what you do?" Sass was sure she was making perfect sense because it was all logical and making sense in her head. Sass enjoyed her job, she didn't think of it as killing most of the time even though she knew that was what it was. She was hunting, they were just animals, it made her life much easier.

"We do what we do because it's our duty. We are soldiers. We protect and defend. We aren't murderers." Her eyes narrowed further as she stared the girl down. Talking was getting nowhere and her attacks were limited. There were few things that she wouldn't do for something like a baseball bat...
"Go home before you get yourself hurt. Reconsider, if you can, just how good of an idea it really was to join the side you joined. I might not want to kill you. I might not want you dead, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let you, or your little friends, continue what you've been doing."

Sass wasn't overly sure where to take this. She was being given a get out of jail free card and though she wanted to fight more and she knew full well she could if she could stay out the senshi's attacks, they could also accidentally kill her... like if they knocked her off the top of the roof.
"Fine I shall go home and reconsider..." Okay so she wouldn't but if she could get away she would.

Corvus wasn't sure that she believed the Negaverse agent. Honestly, she had no reason to. She was a part of the Negaverse. Sure, she could follow her and make sure that she didn't take any more lives this night, but that would defeat the purpose of stopping her here and now.
The senshi waited for a moment, balancing the ball of energy between her fingers before letting it fly, this time aiming for the other girl's feet, more in hopes of startling her than harming her. "I mean it, Negascum."

Sass jumped back as the energy hit the ground by her feet. She looked at the dead body and silently cursed, she would have to come back for it. She looked at the senshi before jumping from the building and running off. She wouldn't go far, she needed the senshi to leave so she could go bury that body. Once the body was buried she would go back home, there was no point risking anything else tonight and she was starting to ache from where the energy had hit her.
"Stupid senshi" She cursed again to herself before finding a good hiding place where she could keep a good eye on the roof.

Sailor Corvus waited a few good, long moments on the rooftop before making her way slowly over to the body. Her stomach churned at the thought of being so close to a corpse, but she made herself stay, steeling her resolve as she took another step closer.
Beyond the way the body had been so carelessly dropped on the roof it almost looked like he was sleeping. She frowned as she reached one gloved hand out, drawing it back just shy of touching him before reaching out again. Slowly she repositioned his body before brushing her fingers lightly over his eyes. Whoever he was, she was certain this wasn't the sort of ending that he deserved... It wasn't the sort of ending that anyone deserved; becoming nothing more than fuel for the monster the senshi called Negaverse.
She stepped back, watching the civilian for a moment longer before pulling her cell phone out of the only bit of 'storage space' she had been able to find on her uniform. Brow furrowing she adjusted the top of her corset so that everything could settle back into place before flipping her phone open, dialing the number for the Destiny City police station.
Once they were tipped off she waited alongside the nameless stranger until she saw the flash of lights before taking off. Hopefully they would be able to find his family. Hopefully this civilian, despite being one that she couldn't save, wouldn't be the next to wind up on the MISSING board.
