Tethis grinned. "I'm sure eventually you'll get used to it. People will figure it out with Yours being so close to you. As she will be for some time, I'm sure." She took another swig of her wine. "I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors, K'lar. I'm sure you will work hard and succeed."
Then the green butted him in the stomach and Tethis caught her smile. Somehow, she felt that it was his cue to be more social and visit someone else.

Glad to finally be off the sands and have his hands clean of raw meat Folen kept one hand on his bumbling blue to help the dragonet remember to keep his pace slow as they followed the other weyrlings. Fortunately as full and tired as Skananth was he wasn't moving nearly as quickly as he could and as a result seemed to be managing moving forward without ending up tail over head.
Glancing around the room Folen noticed Tethis and waved turning his lumbering friend in her direction.
Stripes noticed his friend and flew over to greet Folen and big blue dragonet making Sknanth wrinkle his nose up in curiosity at the little flitter. "Oh hello, Mine, is yours too isn't he? It's nice to meet you. Your like a little me, only different."
Folen couldn't help but giggle at the blue's comments. Shaking his head he stopped next to Tethis and Kylar but waited not wanting to interrupt them.

What are we doing now, mine? Betteth asked curiously, as they followed the group down to the dining hall.
"It's my turn to eat," he answered. "You guys hatched early enough that we didn't get breakfast."
Why didn't you eat with me then, if you're so hungry?
Il'raz laughed. "That wasn't for me, it was for you."
Okay, she responded. Hey, look, there's Vespereth! Let's go see her mine. She darted off towards her sister, and Il'raz followed after her. Vespereth! Vespereth! Is yours hungry too?
He grinned at the girl, realizing that he wasn't going to get away until Betteth was done socializing. It was surprising that he didn't really know the girl well, but as one of the other weyrbrats, he did recognize her. "So, Cass, glad you impressed?"

His hand caught his dragon's lower jaw before she could repeat the headbutt, and his fingers tickled her throat. "I suppose that means I need to keep moving," he said as he gently shoved his dragon to a point where he could stand. He took his uneaten bread roll and the cup of klah, saluting Tethis with it.
"See you around!" and he dashed off before noticing that Folen and Skananth were nearly beside them.
"SIBLINGS!"With that broadcasted mental bellow, Tatleth charged into the throng of people like an over-eager pup. She did well dodging those in her way, leaving her rider as he found a bit more difficulty getting through, but in her search for Skananth or Akerth, she promptly collided with Pipith.
"Tatleth! Hold up, little one-" K'lar winced as he watched the wreck of tangled dragonet limbs.
"Pipith! Hi, Pipith. How are you? Did you like the meat? Have you seen Akerth? Did you know kllll....aaah....makes our riders' tummies happy?"

Edit... Er never mind He he... ya snooz ya loose.
Skananth watched his sister dash off through the crowd and was all set to follow when he felt his's hand on his shoulder once more. Oh well he would see her later.

Tethis nodded, raising her own cup in a goodbye salute to K'lar and his dragon, turning her attention to Folen and his blue. She stood up for him, reaching out to pull him into a big hug. "Congratulations!" she almost crowed it in her delight. "Your lad is a gorgeous fellow. Is it F'len, or did you choose something else?" she released her old friend, bending to examine his blue companion. "A lovely large one, you are." she informed Skananth. "You'll take good care of my good friend, won't you?"
Jada saw Tofir head towards Yulu and stopped heading in her direction. A Rider waved his empty cup at her, and she refilled it, murmuring her apologies. Ah! There was Folen. She double-timed it towards her friend, hoping to catch him before he got too far away from their Tethis.

If T'rus and Akerth had there way, they would have been the first of the newly impressed to walking into the dining cavern. Instead, they were nearer the last in line. Such things happened. If it bothered T'rus, it didn't show in his face. He was smiling his public smile, nothing like the one he'd worn when he'd impressed. It was an easy, almost lazy grin and he nodded to people he knew as they walked toward the table for the newly impressed.
Get food. I will wait. The large brown settled amidst his clutchmates, scanning for signs of possible trouble. Everyone seemed to behaving themselves thus far. Now that he was here, he would ensure that they continued to do so.
Tatleth, lower your voice. We can all hear you.
T'rus, meanwhile, finished getting food and returned to the table where the other weyrlings were beginning to gather. He set his plate down and rested his hand against Akerth's neck. "Holding things down over here?"

Canoake watched the riders start to interact with one another and those candidates who didn't Impress start to get curious about those who didn't chose them. Her eyes narrowed as she saw Jadamirei hurrying past to someone she obviously must know. Intrigued, Canoake followed behind. The girl's blue dress was beautiful and almost made her envious. But, it was blue.
Still.
A chance to interact and wow someone would be nice.
"Hey, Jada! Wait a minute."

Folen laughed as he was pulled into the hug and returned it with equal force. "Thank you. And I haven't really thought about names. I think I had managed to convince myself I wasn't going to impress until a certain someone fell on me."
Lifting his head at that comment Skananth made a wuffling sound at his rider before rubbing his head happily against Tethis's leg. "I like this one mine. Tell her I will do my very best." He pulled himself up straight and tall...well mostly except he was a little higher up than he thought he would be and he started to fall forward into the table.
Folen managed to shift his weight fast enough to arrest the dragon's forward momentum. "Ah there you go back on your feet. Oh and he says that he will do his best."

Pipith did not have time for his clutchmates right this moment. He was busy making sure His got his bearings - or got help getting his bearings, as it were - as he didn't trust him to do it entirely on his own. Otherwise, who knew? He might have decided to eat first, then met other riders, and then ended up hopelessly sidetracked when there were more important things to be doing! With his focus on Sethal, the small bronze never saw Tatleth coming.
He did not appreciate being rammed into, to say the least, especially having been caught off-guard. He snarled angrily and snapped at the loudmouthed green, not connecting but making his displeasure clear nonetheless. He thrashed as he disentangled himself from her, and didn't bother to be gentle about it.
Watch where you're going! he barked, straightening up to stand properly. I do not know where Akerth is. I do not care. Go and find him yourself, Mine and I have things to do.

"Well, you'll find out soon enough when people start coming up with something for you." she teased, and reached down to gently run her hand over the great blue head as it rubbed against her pants leg. The dragonet pulled away, started to pull up, and promptly started to fall over.
Adorable. It brought back all sorts of memories. I was never that clumsy, Feylith protested from his ledge.
Lies.
"I am sure you will do your best. Feylith and I will wait and watch for you to grow strong. And be competition." she grinned up at Folen.
Jada was almost there when she heard a familiar voice. She turned, blue eyes landing on the familiar figure of Canoake. Well, she did cut a fine figure in her red and gold. "Ah, hello!" she said, giving the other Candidate a friendly smile. So close to Tethis and Folen, and so far away.
Ah well, she had all night! "That dress looks lovely on you, Canoake. You look charming." It was clear she thought charming a fine compliment. Stunning may have pleased Canoake more, but... she was sure the other girl would take whatever compliments were offered, even the genuinely meant.

Folen laughed and gave Skananth a pat," We will look forward to it." He said relaying what the little dragon was thinking. "Though I think it might be quite some time before we pose any real challenge.
"Mine holds you in his thoughts, you are big, strong and clever! I wish to be big and strong like you. " Skananth said to Feylith softly. " We will watch and learn and one day we will fly together maybe? I would like that."
Edit: I am assuming the weyrlings can send that far...I can take the last part off it he can't actually talk to Feylith.

Kaatan made his way to the feast with the crowd, not feeling any particular need to fight his way through it anymore. That sure was interesting... to say the least. His mind was still racing as he watched the newly Impressed dragons and their riders make their ways as well. No one he knew very well had Impressed, and he only vaguely recognized some of the others, from seeing them around. He wondered if Leila or Layla had stuck around, but shrugged. He was hungry.

I like you. Feylith replied. After all, flattery was always nice. You will be very busy soon, and you will grow, and then we will fly. There was no doubt in his voice. His would be happy to have her old friend at her side again, and he passed on the knowledge that His would never be able to bring herself to say to Folen. She found it too 'sappy' to say such things to those she cared for. We will be at your side.
"Take all the time you need." Tethis teased her friend. "You have plenty of it. Now off with you, both of you. There are plenty of others to see and greet, a whole new family. Make certain that you pay your respects to the Weyrleader, he is a good man."
