Haruko nodded, a bit surprised to hear that Kenji had been called upon as well for this. 'I was right, this really is serious and not the good kind...' Just as she was about to voice out a question to her former sensei, Kenji appeared. Flashing him a sweet smile, Haruko shook her head in response. "No, it's alright. Thanks though. I heard that apparently yours got cancelled." Before she could say anything else, Death invited them in and began talking. Taking a seat on a nearby chair, Haruko made herself comfortable as she debated over Death's question. "Um, I believe it has something to do with the former village hidden in towns was destroyed by some unknown force and since that area would most likely be unsafe, the people chose to move here before beginning their reconstruction right Death-sensei?"

{It looks really good Death. Speaking of posting layouts...I still have to make one for this RPC. Maybe I'll create one tonight. Oh, and I'll be leaving it a bit. Going to see a movie.}

Death smiled, they were both right and wrong at the same time. That was the history that was written, but it wasn't completely true. Death inquired, "You're both right, but what would you say if I told you that The Village Hidden in Towns hasn't been destroyed yet?" The secret was out, and Death could smile in relief.

Expecting both of his chuunin to be surprised, Death paused a moment before continuing, "What would you say if I told you that I've been going back and forth between these two villages secretly every week?" Death decided to stop now because it was likely that questions were about to bombard him.

((Thanks for the input guys, and the ZT are initials. And Haruko, what movie?))

Kenji probably wasn't as shocked by the announcement as Death may have expected, but he was still equally as intrigued by what he said. Even after having been in the village for a while now, many things were still new to him. In order for an announcement like this to rock his foundation of understanding of what the village's identity truly was he would have needed to have had a much better understanding of what he thought he knew. As it was however, learning this new piece of information was still very strange as he immediately wondered how Death could so easily visit this "other village" on a weekly basis and still operate here as well.

Looking over to Haruko, Kenji wondered what perhaps someone who had been here longer and understood the village much better then he might react to such an announcement. In the end, all he could muster was a confused, but intrigued expression that begged for a more complete explanation... "Interesting... very interesting indeed Death-sensei. I guess maybe this explains why it is sometimes difficult to get a hold of you." Kenji said with a bit of a smile, which he hoped might lift the almost deliberately created tension of the room...

"So... is everything we thought we knew about this village... not true?... or is there simply just so much more beneath the surface of what we know then we could imagine? I guess neither would surprise me... I barely even understand THIS village half the time. But how could you visit this other village without anybody knowing of it's existence so frequently?... is it truly that well hidden?" The questions flew like a stream from his mouth as he fired them off as he thought of them, as he often did when processing new information, but now he waited, looking back to Death, awaiting his replies with eager intrigue and interest.

Haruko was a bit taken a back by Death's words and began considering the true reason behind the lie. 'I just don't get it, why would they do something like this? And for Death to have been going back and forth between the two places...' Hearing Kenji's first comment, Haruko broke our of her confused thoughts and found herself releases a soft, small giggle despite the current situation. As Kenji bombarded Death with questions, Haruko clicked each one off from her mind so that she knew which ones were answered and which ones were not. 'Hm, those are some good questions, there was one that I didn't even thought of asking yet.' Looking at Death, Haruko waited expectingly for his answer.

{How to train your dragon. It was a pretty good movie.}

Rolling his eyes at Kenji's first comment, Death actually confirmed, "Yeah, that's exactly why. It's extremely difficult to go back and forth so much," he continued. "Especially since I run this village and I'm second in command at the other. Not to mention the war that's developing over there. But I guess that is why we're all here anyway. Eh! I'm getting ahead of myself." Death paused a moment to recollect his thoughts and remember Kenji's questions.

The first question Kenji asked was the most important, so Death wanted to save that until after the others. He decided to answer the one about the village's secrecy first since that was an easy answer. "Towns is just as hidden as any other shinobi village; it's just the same as this one. The only reason that no one knows about it is because I can teleport very long distances when I concentrate. That way, nobody can follow me or know when or if I left," he explained.

With all the other questions out of the way, it was time for the big one. "As for what you used to think of as the truth of this village," he began, "I can now assure you that it will indeed be true." Realizing the complexity of what he just said, Death tried to clarify, "It's not like I really lied about what happened, it just hasn't happened yet." Still feeling that his explanation was inadequate, Death simply decided to shut up and wait for questions.

((I saw that movie the other day, I liked it.))

So much was said, and so much of it said matter-of-factly as if they had any idea what he was referring to, Kenji had trouble processing what was a joke, or the truth, or involved the other village, or this one. Everything rattled around in his head, but several things stuck out from what he said... "A war in the other village?... how are you only the second in command there, but first in command here? How does that even work? Do they know about this place? Do you have student counterparts? what's the whole meaning of this?..."

Kenji couldn't really stop himself. Death was speaking so cryptically at times that it simply left Kenji with 5 more questions for every question that he answered. Suddenly however he stopped, as his mind realized something... "I can assure you that it WILL be true. It's not like i lied about what happened, it just HASN'T happened yet." Kenji didn't know what Death was referring to, but if it bore any number of the connotations that he thought it could, the the moment when the announcement would rock his world just hit...

"Death-sensei... what do you mean, it WILL happen? Are you saying that you are traveling to a place that exists in a time that we haven't made it to yet?... or are we in that time, and the other village hasn't made it to us yet?..."

Realizing that if he didn't explain everything only more and more questions would arise, Death simply decided to tell the entire story. Sighing, he explained, "First, I should tell you that I have the ability to see people's souls. But it doesn't stop there, I can even sense an approximate to when a person will die." While it seemed a small and irrelevant fact, although interesting, this skill is what started everything.

"Before any of this started," he continued, "I was in my village, The Village Hidden in Towns, and I noticed something strange: it seemed like almost everyone was going to die on the same day. I couldn't believe it so I asked someone who I knew could predict future events and he said that I was right, the village would be destroyed. He also said that no matter what I did, I wouldn't be able to prevent it...."

Death was tensing up a little, the memory of what happened began to stress him. Seemingly switching topics, Death continued saying, "In my hometown, Sotaria, I was... high up and I knew that there was a large hidden fortune in the village. Knowing that I would have to rebuild the village eventually, I decided to put that money to good use. I stole what should have belonged to me and I used it to make this village." Hopefully, things were starting to click for the two chuunin, such as how Death was able to pay for such massive construction across the entire village so quickly.

"Anyway," he started again, "The unknown enemy finally attacked us and war broke out. We've been fighting a lot and I've been taking care of both of these villages as best I can, but I haven't slept in weeks now. I don't know how much more I can take, but I have a feeling it will all end tomorrow, when Hidden Towns is destroyed."

Finally, Death's plan was about to come into clear perspective. He thought he had described the background well enough so he was going to move on to the mission he was about to request. "Tomorrow I will be heading out with Towns to take down the enemy," Death explained. "You may hear something or feel a slight shock wave when Towns is demolished, but only you two will know what it really is. Within the following week I will return if I survived the battle. I'm not making any promises though. If I die, you two will have to take care of the town." It was a huge responsibility, especially for two chuunin, but they were the only ones capable of doing so. Death now trusted the village in their hands if he were to die.

But that wasn't the mission Death was getting at. Death didn't expect to die, but he had to make sure there was a back up plan, just in case. "However," he informed, "I probably won't die so easily, so don't dig my grave just yet! If I return then I want you two to help me escort the surviving veterans over here to the [Nameless Village] like I've been planning. So what do you say? Any questions?"

((Things started to move faster recently and I don't think we have time to draw this out like I was doing before. I would really appreciate it if you tried to respond quickly. I know that we're all very busy, but I don't want to hold up the veterans.))

Kenji didn't really know what to say and quite honestly, he was still a little bit confused. His theory had obviously been ridiculous, but at the same time, Death was speaking backwards. Had he revealed that he was able to sense the future in a way, then it would have made sense when he labeled a village as 'destroyed'. More then anything however, Kenji was simply amazed, if not completely and utterly confused with how fast things were happening.

Kenji was intelligent, and quick thinking... but his people, and his entire life were nothing like what he had seemed to experience here in this village. Everything was moving so fast... change was so inevitable, and everything seemed so fleeting. People in his village already lived on average about three times longer then most people, but to think that a village could rise and fall along with governments and leaders so quickly was almost beyond his comprehension. However, even with all of this, and despite his confusion, Kenji would do his best to assist his sensei with whatever he needed, even if he didn't understand it.

Looking over to Haruko, he gave a slight nod to let her know what he was thinking before bowing very politely to Death... "I can't say that I understand all of this, but I don't need to if you say that it is what needs to be done. I am honored to have been selected to serve you in this way and I promise to care for and protect the village with all of my power in your absence, no matter how long it might be. I am however confident that you will not die so easily... so I will await your return and will continue to follow your orders as you would have of me. I would not presume to speak for her, but Haruko is quite capable and a fitting leader, so I believe that the two of us can accomplish this together."

At this point in time, Haruko had already thrown out whatever logic she's ever believed in out the window and was focused mainly on trying to grasp an understanding on the whole situation. 'This is really too much. To think there was a such a complicated back story to the creation of this town...and that in just a few days time, a whole village will crumble to ruins...'

Gripping her hands tightly together, Haruko listened to the rest of Death's explaination feeling an overwhelming feeling of dread forming in the pit of her stomach. 'This is a huge responsiblity to place on just two newly appointed chuunin...for all this to all just suddenly happen, it's kinda hard to absorb...' Though she was filled with a ton of doubts and fear, Haruko knew that Death needed her support right now and quickly pushed her worries aside. 'This is no time to doubt in my abilities, Death trusted me with this and I'll see it through, besides, I still have Kenji-san here to help me.' With a strengthen resolve, Haruko relaxed her hands to her side before turning to face Kenji.

Seeing him nod, Haruko knew that he has come to the same resolve as her, to protect the village as best as they could during Death's absence. Once Kenji was done speaking, Haruko stood up from her seat and smiled reasurringly at Death, "Yes, I feel the same way as Kenji-san. Though I still haven't fully grasped onto the whole situation, I'm more than ready to assist you in whatever way I can. As Kenji-san said, it's an honor that you've requested me for this assignment and I'm sure that with the two of us working together, we'll have no problem handling this situation.

Glad was too simple a word to describe the relief Death felt that his two most trusted students were willing to help him with his crazy plan. They had already helped so much throughout the village and now they took on even higher responsibilities. Haruko and Kenji were invaluable and Death trusted them completely.

There were only a few details left to go over before Death left. First Death had to establish their meeting place, "After I leave, you should check for my return every night. I will arrive about midnight at the crossroad in the forest to the west. Just go across the unfinished bridge and follow the trail until you get to the intersection in the woods. From there, I'll lead you to Hidden Towns." It was a simple enough plan and not to difficult to do.

This is an international mission so we should probably go in disguise, Death thought to himself. Death could use his anbu mask and cloak, especially since it prevented people from reading his chakra signals and detecting his identity. As for Haruko and Kenji, "I'd like to go in disguise so you two will have to get together full body cloaks of some sort, and a mask too. You could probably use an unpainted anbu mask if you want," he offered.

After a long silence, Kenji finally nodded quickly to Death as he had finally processed all that was said. "Your orders shall be carried out to the letter Death-sensei. Haruko and I will begin making the preparations at once and we will meet at the appointed spot each night until your return." Without having much more to say, Kenji looked over to Haruko, nodding his head towards the door to signal to her that they should leave and begin making preparations as he moved towards the door and opened it, holding it open for Haruko, planning to follow her out as she left, flashing a smile to both she and death-sensei as he waited.

"I can't believe that we're being appointed essentially as ANBU... this is rather exciting! Finally all that I have been reading about them in the library will be able to be put to good use!"

Haruko simply nodded in response when Death mentioned their orders for after he leaves and waited patiently to see if Kenji had anything else to add. Having nothing to add to Kenji's words, Haruko just smiled and nodded in response to his signal. Standing up, Haruko bowed once more to Death, "Leave everything to us Death-sensei, we won't let you down so feel reassured when you leave to complete your mission." finished speaking, Haruko quickly headed over towards the door currently held opened for her by Kenji. "Thanks." Muttered Haruko to Kenji as she walked passed him and out the door.

Narkosa walked along the path toward Death seneis house wondering if anyone notice Narkosa's absence. Sighing heavily Narkosa fely a deep wieght drop his heart into his churning stomach. "Why do I feel like I do nothing right anymore everyone has surpass me, but I know that I can surpass them quickly," A sliver of a smirk stretch across Narkosa's face as he spoke. Reaching the destination Narkosa straightened his face and simply knocked upon Death sensei's door. The house was filled with with the sound of Narkosa's knock, listening carefull the young gennin didn't hear anything stir within the walls of his sensei's house. Turning around Narkosa knew this was only a slight set back in his plan to find Death. Looking around Narkosa calculated another plan for finding Death sensei it was something he didn't like but it was something that had to be done "Great I gotta go talk to people... living people," Narkosa shuddered at the sound of people knowing he had no other choice he walks off to find anyone who could give him any information upon his Sensei's whereabouts.

A man dressed in all black with a sword on his left side walks up the way towards the house of the man, that his informant has told him, he needs to find. The man has a hood over his head so that his face is hidden though his eyes can be seen even in the dark. Two distinct red glowing orbs in the dark. The man walks up to the door and lifts a hand that is covered in a black leather looking glove. The figure waits as he hears nothing but is unfazed by this seeming lack of response. His informant has never given him faulty intel on purpose, so if the man he needs is not here then he must return sometime. If there is nothing else this man knows the value of patience. The man turns and walks over to a small area where he then leans against the house.
