This year I am going. I told my parents over and over that I refuse to miss it this year. As for cosplay, I will not be cosplaying at all. But I will try to dress cutie-like. Not like that year I met Shishi and Twelvie. I have no idea wtf I was thinking D:

Do you think we'll have a large .hack photoshoot this year? Or is everyone pretty much done cosplaying from .hack? gonk
I wonder if they will show the Death Note movie again. I missed the second one on Friday night last year.
And yay! I'm glad that everyone is coming. I mean no one really went to Katsucon or Anime USA from Net Slums, so it will be nice to meet up at Otakon.
Do you think they'll run out of tickets if I wait until May to pre-register? eek

I wasn't really planning on doing .hack this year, though I am plotting a LINK!Kite cosplay /someday/, but if there's a photoshoot I'll totally go and take pictures and hang out 8D;;
... I went to Katsucon >3>
I don't think they'll run out but early pre-registering is generally better. And cheaper.

As far as I know, there's no .hack// photoshoot planned yet. At least, there's not one on Cosplay.com. And I'm... not doing .hack//. H-haha, I've been kidnapped by another fandom, sorry.
@yokaiy- BROMANCE IS MY FAVORITE WORD EVER.
@BL- Ahhh I'm still so sorry that I was just like, "DRR DEE HURR HURR WHO IS THIS PERSON WITH A "BL" PIN IN FRONT OF ME?" orz I was so dead that day and auuuugh. I promise I'll know who you are this time.
@Hiroto- I think pre-reg runs until like several weeks before the con, so you should be good until mid-July!

I actually found the most fun time of Otakon to be the five-hour
wait in order to get registered for the convention (I didn't pre-
reg, but to me it appeared as if the pre-reg line was insanely
long compared to the at-the-door reg). HOWEVA: I really missed
not being able to meet all the guildies last year, and by the time
I did my my guildies my face was like "SO YEAH, WE'RE GONNA
MAKE YOU HAVE FIVE O'CLOCK SHADOW AT 10 IN THE MORN-
ING AND MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A HOBO. WHAT? MEETIN' WITH
GUILDIES? OH WELL."
If my face decides to do that this year, feel free to run in unadult-
erated horror from me. orz
And yokaiy, we will so totally be ghei with your burlap sackness.

There's been some discussion about .hack//cosplayers at Otakon in the Dot Hackers Unite thread, but there is no shoot planned yet. I am bringing something from .hack, because for some reason I cannot escape this fandom that has such difficult costumes to create. biggrin

@Sl8 That is so creepy on so many levels, you creeper. xDDD BUT NO, NOTHING IS SEXIER THAN A ONE-EYED BURLAP SACK RAGDOLL. Yeah, he made me sad. I kinda knew it was coming, but I was still like, "OH GOD NO, 5, RUN, DON'T GO AFTER THAT DAMN RECORD ASJHDGASGDJAGH". Also I don't know what you look like so you should bring a sign. XD "ME AM SL8."
@Ayeka Oh, really? Sadly, even if I wanted to, none of my .hack cosplays are in good enough condition for me to bring them. Azure Kite is DEAD. Zelkova has a big red mark on the sleeve from stupid person with fake blood bumping into me /sob and a bleach stick just made it worse and I dunno if it can be washed and aaaauuuuuuuuuu. And Cubia was just... fail. I need to remake the pants if I do it again.

Yeah, it would be awesome. We could ttly get a group shot in the
jerseys and be all amazing-like. If someone here would sketch an
idea (hopefully simplistic), I MIGHT could make the jerseys; I may
not be able to sew and make clothes, but I sure as hell can use
fabric paint and draw on shirts like there is no tomorrow. That
or there is a shirt-print in my hometown where I could make a
literal jersey. MAYBE. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE.
