Feeling as though she'd probably get reprimanded for not socializing by her sister, she then spoke up, trying to find her way into the conversation. "I'm Dr. Kae. I have two children. My oldest, my daughter Alice, she's going to be getting married soon and has a child on the way. The younger of the two, my son Rasiel, is a bit of a troublemaker. Not to say he isn't a good kid, I just think he needs a little more affection." she spoke, very matter of fact in her tone. Sighing, as she then finished her drink. "Honestly, I'm not really good at this whole 'social' thing, so excuse me for that." she announced, trying to at least let everyone know that she wasn't trying to be antisocial, she just had difficulty getting excited about talking to people.

Eleana smiled, having the chance to talk about her own kids as well. She thought for a moment and furrowed her brow a little. "My kids. Well, I have two daughters. The oldest is Blaise, you may have seen her out in the field running the scavenger hunt for the toddlers. She is our nurse on campus. My youngest, Little Andy, oh boy. She's very independent it seems. Always wants to do things her way." she paused, smiling. Eleana really didn't mind talking about her kids, even though she really didn't quite get along so much with them, almost like she just had bad luck with children.

Asu's eyes got a glint to them as Kae mentioned her children. Deskri often mentioned Rasiel's name, usually with a poorly disguised longing to it. Oh this was wonderful. "Well, before the academy shut down last time I had two, I guess three if we still count Insonorise.. He moved off though." Asu smiled a little. "I've also got Deskri," she paused, glancing to Kae with a most amused expression, "and Hayden is the youngest..." She opted not to say anything particular about herself for the time being.
She was much more interested in talking to Kae, after all, her son knew Deskri. She (not so) subtly moved over to her. "Deskri talks about Rasiel all the time, it's nice to meet his mother." She offered a hand, still wearing that amused grin. Ohhh the look on Deskri's face when she would later on mention meeting Kae would be priceless. He embarrassed sooo easily.

Kae's ears perked up a bit as Deskri had been mentioned. That name sounded very familiar. As Asu approached her, Kae simply stared at her, watching her closely to see what she was doing. After Asu mentioned Deskri being Rasiel's friend, her face lit up like she had a revelation. "Oh! Now I remember. Deskri was that boy that spent the night with Rasiel just the other night." she mentioned, not really one to think too much on what might not be the right thing to say. Though, she really didn't think much of it, seeing as it appeared innocent to her. She smiled as Asu, "So you're his mother. I should really apologize to him, you see, my daughter said she walked in on him changing in the bedroom and gave him quite a scare. From what I heard, he lept right on out the window and ran off." she chuckled to herself a little, the idea behind it seeming a bit comical.

Asu's eyes widened with a sort of hidden glee and perhaps further understanding of that situation than Kae did. Ohhh it was going to be so much fun bringing up this conversation to Deskri. SO. MUCH. FUN.
"Really? Spent the night? It's nice to hear he got his courage together, I mean really... He pined about it for months... That's an understatement, probably since they were kids..." Asu laughed a little, shaking her head. "Oh dear, I hope your daughter wasn't scarred for life or anything... I know he can get very testy with people. He fights anything I do all the time, keeps on insisting that he's fine by himself. Silly kid..." She sighed, rolling her eyes a little. "Leapt out the window...?" She nearly busted out laughing, the image of Deskri, clumsy little Deskri, leaping out of a window was just too much. "Oh man... Deskri, leaping out a window? That's priceless... Just priceless."

Sun listened delightedly to what people had to say about their kids. She wondered which ones her kids had met, and knew she'd have to work harder to get names out of them and actually remember them.
Sun also spotted Aiden coming in and waved to him as well. Once there was a break in the conversation she motioned for him to come join. "Hi I'm Sun, we were just introducing ourselves a bit and talking about our kids." She wasn't trying to take over or anything, but she naturally liked talking to people and including everyone. "Well as far as working goes I work at a small used bookstore. But I like to think that what I do for a"living" is be a mom." She chuckled. "Maybe it's corny but I really love doing it. I have three kids. Edmund is the oldest. He's really quiet shy, and he was soooo mad at me for making him go to the ball, but really...how else is he ever going to make friends? He also loves to garden. The middle child is Gavin. He's got a bad habit of, well, getting into things he shouldn't. I think he thinks it's a hobby." She smiled and shook her head. "And the youngest is Keiran. He's the one that loves to be the center of attention, he's also got a knack for clothes and for coloring." she gave another chuckle and then munched on a cookie to keep herself from prattling even more about her boys.

Aiden stood and walked on over to Sun and introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Aiden Wong. I actually only have one kid. I'm pretty new to this parenting thing to be honest; I don't know what to do with my little boy half the time. His name is Cecil." Aiden had an embarrassed expression as he admitted this. "Ah, but I work at the Zoo and work with the animals all day. Um... but Cecil, he's a fun kid. He loves playing with mud and eats pretty much everything as long as it's not a vegetable, loves the color purple and loves to swim."
Aiden stopped talking and looked around nervously. He wasn't very good at speaking with new people.

Walter sighed a bit of relief. It was good to see another man around the room, even if Aiden wasn't necessarily his type. There were so many things to jump in to a conversation with, he had to pick the right one. After split seconds of deliberation, he gently placed a hand on Asu's arm. "Oh, I've seen you before. Hayden's your boy? Freya is quite taken with him," he lightly commented. "I don't have time to take her out much, but she tells me the same story of what they did over and over again."

Nova smiled, enjoying the fact that everyone seemed to be getting along. Even Kae had found someone to talk to. Things were looking good. She giggled a little to herself. "Honestly, I don't have any kids. I am the very first successful child that the wonderful Doctors created. So I suppose I'm considered a prototype. I really never seemed to find anyone to be with, so I never had kids of my own. I considered adopting a child myself, but I suppose I'd be a little too busy for that since I'm more of a counselor to the rest of the student here at the academy." she explained, not really feeling all too bad that she didn't have any children to flaunt. Nova really thought of all of the students as her children, so it really didn't bother her too badly. She had all the kids she could ever dream of.

Kae quirked her eyebrow at Asu's comments as it seemed to suggest something a little more than just innocence in the situation. It then dawned on her what she was really referring to, Alice hadn't been crying, she had been laughing. Kae knew that her daughter wasn't the type to get all giggly over some boy, especially a shirtless boy. Something else she saw must have startled her into such an uncontrollable laughter. Yes, it was all coming together. Why Alice had hidden what went on in the bedroom Rasiel had supposedly not been in where Deskri had slept. It seemed to be strange when it was all explained, and now she was starting to assume why. "Wait... you don't mean. Deskri.. and.. Rasiel." she paused and then placed a hand on her forehead and shook her head, as though humiliated that she had never thought of it until just then. It was so obvious too, if only she had noticed. "Well that explains a lot.."

Asu turned to look at Walter as she felt a hand on her arm, still grinning from the bit of information she was sure Kae didn't understand completely. "Oh yes! How is she, anyway? Hayden told me that some "bad things" came out and scared everyone." She frowned a little, as much as she loved to tease Deskri, she knew he'd be torn up after that event for quite some time. "Hayden talks about her all the time, too." She returned her attention to Kae for a split second, unable to keep back a rather amused, chipmunk like giggle.
"You didn't know?" She shook her head. "Deskri's so obvious, at home anyway... He told me that they're rooming together in the dorms, so they probably got close since from what I've heard, Rasiel has the same problems Deskri has." She shrugged a little, purposely being vague. If Kae knew about the Bad Things, she'd catch on. For now, she wasn't intent on exposing Deskri as someone who potentially needed to be locked up.
Deskri hadn't told her about Kagyaku's departure, so she was still under the impression that her son was a potential danger to the other students if he got too worked up.

Walter happily announced to Asu, "Well, let me tell you. Freya is just everywhere right now. She was grounded for a while for leaving without permission, but trying to work and keep an eye on her was starting to be a punishment for me!" He sighed a little bit, as if taking a breath from all that he had said in such a short amount of time, and looked over to Kae.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but did I hear that you had a daughter getting married? It's just that my fashion line was looking in to branching out in to some bridal outfits and I could totally help you. We could even do it for free, if you don't mind the bride and groom modeling for us," he offered. Somehow, he looked at her from a tilted head that faced downward, almost as if he was giving her puppy-dog eyes. Cute, maybe. Effective, no that much. It was just a part of Walter's character.

Aiden looked around nervously again at the awkward silence and fell back into his odd habit of spouting of random information that no one bothered to ask about. "Ah... Did you know that the duck-billed platypus is only one of two mammals that can lay eggs?" Aiden blurted out, then turned red with embarrassment.

Kae couldn't keep the look of humiliation off her face as she kept her head down with her hand rested against her forehead. "No, I had no idea until just now... he... He really doesn't talk to me much.." she replied with an mildly exasperated tone, trying to keep calm about the situation and resist to run out of there to go yell at Rasiel for making her look like a bad parent at the get together. Kae knew she probably would anyway as soon as she left there. Her attention was then turned toward to Walter as he spoke. She uncovered her face for a brief moment to hear him out before returning her hand to her forehead again. "..they're.. both... brides.." she managed to force the words from her mouth, almost half ashamed that she seemed to be the only parent to have all of her children be homosexual. Taking a deep breath, she tried to play the whole thing off as if she had possibly known all along and was completely and utterly fine with it. "If you're okay with that, then sure. We'd love to have you do that. You're so generous to offer such a thing, just to say. You're a good man." she commented, trying to push the thoughts of what Rasiel and Deskri had been doing all night into the back of her mind for now.

Eleana had hung back for a bit, watching Kae and Asu talk for a bit about their sons. Kae looked pretty embarrassed, and that fact entertained her a little deep down. She was then taken off guard by Aiden's comment. "Only two mammals? Really?" she asked, seemingly intrigued by the information. "No, I didn't know that. What is the other mammal?" she inquired, this seemed very interesting. She may have been a scientist, and a doctorate for that fact, but her expertise lay in chemistry rather than zoology.
