Rikku stepped back, as Diablo hit ground level. Her eyes followed him as he walked towards her. At first, he told her that if she was under his captivity, she would 'not have gotten away with that one'. Placing his hand on her hat, he removed it and placed it on the counter. Slightly confused by this gesture, his hand made it's way back to her head, and ruffled her hair. She was aggitated on the surface, a gesture like that was given to children, and in no way was she a child anymore. But inside, she wondered. Remembering the day they met, he fought quite violently against her.

He was probably holding back.

Raeka smiled. "I never said she was sloppy. I said she was being reckless. I anticipated that your friend would break through. Do you really think I'd have left one of Curios' student's tied up with mere rope, and expected her not to break through it? It's only sloppy if it's unintentional. As for tying her down to begin with... Would you have prefered we battle the entire time...?" He turned his head to his pupil. Without using any words, he sent her a mental message, telling her that everything would be alright. He also gave her a look, that told her to respect the man addressing her. He was a great fighter, and quite a bit older then her, aswell. He looked back at Diablo.

He was greeted a little harsher then he had anticipated. He hit the fell to his knees when Diablos' fist met with his stomache. His punch didn't hurt as much as it could have, since Raeka wore countless amounts of blades under his cloak. However, he was quite winded. He spoke to Diablo menatlly, as he left out a series of coughs. 'I wasn't expecting you to be so....gentle.' Rikku just watched silently. She knew from experience with Curio that when he struck something, it was a good time to keep your mouth in check. She expected nothing less from her master's brother.

As Raeke stood up again, he pressed his hand against his stomache, as if he were in pain. He turned slightly towards the elder elf, who had now greeted his pupil. "I'm sure you already know, this is my student, Sachi Fujiiro."

After striking Raeka he had flexed his hand a few times, as his knuckles had struck one of the blades as he then said outloud, obviously being sarcastic, "Ah, so that was too gentle? Would you have prefered me to reply what I did during our first meeting?" He then glaned at the girl. He was curious about her as he gazed. His eyes were fixated on hers for a moment and then he said, his voice not as harsh, "Welcome to my little..." He looked about, "Bar, Lady Sachi. I hope you will enjoy your stay."
He then turned to Rikku and said with a bit of a grin, "So you fixed it up? I should have known you would have found this place again eventually. You are much more intelligent then people take you for, but that I think is a good thing." He then felt a sense of emtyness as he looked at her, it had been a long time since he had seen Joseph, and seeing her made it obvious.
Breaking from the memories he looked back to the new girl, he then asked her, "So tell me about yourself..." He pulledo ut a chair and sat down on it backwards and rested his arms across the backrest. His back was to Raeka purposely as he smiled to her slightly and then glanced at Rikku then to the girl.

Sachi sighed, giving in. All she could do now was listen to Raeka, no matter how akward this conversation was. No idea what her role in this conversation was, the sixteen year old girl stared back at Diablo, then nodded, a bit shocked. "I..will?" she murmured, obviously confused.

Looking away briefly, she snapped her head back to the man that just arrived. "Me?" On the tip of her tongue was a retort, a rude comment to say the least that she didn't want to tell him. But Raeka's comment popped back into her head. Taking a deep but soft breath, her green eyes stared into his. "My name's Sachi Fujiiro, I'm under Raeka's training, I'm sixteen years old, and I'm a sorceress," she held her head up defiantly, but not so much that it seemed as if she was boasting. Actually a half sorceress, but whatever.. She thought to herself, forgetting that the people in the bar also had the power to read minds just as she could. Even if Sachi was wary of Diablo, she was also curious. Not only about who he was in general, but also what he was doing here, how he knew Rikku and Raeka, and other things. Of course, her mind was teaming with questions that confused her.

Squirming slightly in the stiff chair, the girl let out a sigh without knowing it. Sitting around wasn't quite her thing, though at times she was a large procrastinator. She remembered girls from her old village, how prissy they were and how they yearned for the attention of the handsome boys and how they would also adorn themselves with overrated jewelry. Smirking a bit to herself, she rolled her eyes. Of course, she had her eye on some boys every now and then, but she didnt' gush out like most of the other girls. Shrugging it off, Sachi paused. What a random thought.....I have to concentrate! Uh.. Turning half of her attention back to Diablo, the rest of her mind continued daydreaming.

Raeka coughed one last time, finally catching his breathe. He smiled. "Ah. Yes. I suppose that is fair trade, then." He made his way over to the bar, passing Rikku, and giving her his appologies for tying her up earlier. He pulled out a bottle of scotch from behind the bar. Cracking the seal, he began to drink straight from the bottle. "Oh, and so you know, Raine is supposed to show up here too. But don't expect her anytime soon. She's always late."

The reason he called this meeting with Diablo was a very simple one. His father. Rikkus' master. Diablo's brother. Curio Drakon. Indeed, he was an evil man. And they all had a personal connection with him. Perhaps even Sachi had met him once before. The ones who did know him, all had a vendetta against him. That was the purpose of this meeting. To find common ground, to eliminate him.

Rikkus' mind was wandering. She remembered how her old master used to be. He was also so calm. Collected. And so kind to her. Diablos' treatment reminded her a lot of him. Her thought were interupted when Diablo spoke to her. "Yes...I did fix it up. I thought it was a little run down. I also figured it was probably my own fault, and that I should take responciblity for it." That was one thing she learned well from Curio. To take responcibility for her actions.

If only he practiced what he preached.

He sat there staring at Sachi, it was not one of those bored stares, but one of the interested ones. Diablo was of Elvish blood, and they were known to have a thirst for knowlege. He then spoke up at last after a bit of a pause, "I am glad to mee you Lady Fujiiro. I hope our partnership lasts beyond the common mission of Raeka, Rikku and I, and I am glad to have you here aswell." His attention then turned to Raeka.
He watched the young hunter walk across, he still did not fully trust him because he did not fully trust his motives. The hunters were afully crafty with deception, even worse then an assassain at times. He then leaned back off of his chair and then stood up. He slowly made his way towards him. The thuds of his boots hitting the hard wodden floor sounded off as he walked, and then the noise died when stopped next to the bar and looked over. He then jumped up and over it with ease, his eyes were cast down at the bottom as he then dropped down to one knee and pulled a long thin, sligtly curved box out of the bottom of the bar and set it on the top.
He then ran his hand over the dusty wood wiping off the thick layer of dust. He then had a look on his face of slightly happiness as if he was reunited with an old friend, mixed with aprehension. His fingertips came to the latches at each end and opened them with a click. He looked down at it with the look in his eyes intensifying as he opened it slowly. It was an over dramatic thing probably to the others around him, but it was a thing that had to be done for him. After setting the lid down on the bar, the great sword was unveiled as he looked down at it. His mind and mouth lost for both thought and word. His green eyes stared down at the crimsom red blade of his most prized possession. He then ran his finger along the hilt of the sword and then he looked up and said, "Sorry..." He then blinked snapping out of the trance as he looked about and said, "Erm, sorry about that. Just dwelling in memories, it is not a good thing to do." He then picked up the sword and then the sheath from under it.
He then looked at Raeka and asked, "How long untill Raine gets here? I do believe she is later then usual." He then pushed the blade into its sheath and slung it around his shoulder. He then jumped over the bar and onto the floor on the other side and stood there for a moment. He then finally said, "So, now that we all know each other in a general way, I think we can atleast let our gaurds down a bit."

Squirming again slightly because of the stares Diablo aimed towards her, Sachi watched everything and everyone around her. Giving Diablo the smallest of nods, she furrowed her brow a bit, wondering why he insisted on calling her "Lady Fujiiro" or "Lady Sachi".

"We'll see," she said indecisively. If Raeka could trust this man, he couldn't be that bad. He seemed nice enough, yet something worried her. Nothing big though, just a small tug.

Her green eyes darted toward Rikku, admiringly though. She had always been too stubborn to accept anything worse than her best and also the consequences of her actions. It was something that the sixteen year old would have to learn sooner or later. Her admiring gaze turned silghtly sour and envious. Something inside her told her that Raeka would rather have her as his student rather than her.

Forgetting about Rikku, she arched her eyebrows slightly as she watched Diablo's actions Then she turned her gaze to Raeka, rolling her eyes as he drank a bottle. Of what, she didn't know. Turning her gaze back to the man that weilded a crimson sword, she cocked her head slightly. "No kidding...I've been there," she murmured softly under her breath. Daydreams where something the girl slipped in an out of, a habit ever since she was a little girl. While thinking, her mind just barely embraced the name Raine.

"Raine? She's coming?" Sachi sat up straighter, waiting for any answer that one might give her. She'd met Raine a couple times before, though not recently so she only vaguely remembered her. "Well? Is she?" she frowned, impatient. Her temper allowed her that trait, which she was often reprimanded for.

Quickly glancing at Diablo, she paused. There was no way she would relax until she knew more about them. Raeka had always taught her to keep her guard up, no matter who they are, what they're doing, or what they say. Maybe he'd taught her a bit too well, but better safe than sorry they always say.

Rikku watched as Diablo made his way past her. Raeka just sipped from his bottle as the elf hopped over the counter, and pulled out a small wooden box.

From it, they all watched, as a crimson blade was released from the boxes clutches. It was the exactly same colour as the one Raeka carried. The differences between the two, was the that Raekas' blade was more curved, and his was dulled. There was a spell cast on all weapons of that calibour. A spell that allowed it to remain sharp for all eternity, just so long as it's appointed master continued to weild it. Raeka was not it's appointed master.

Raeka replied to Sachis' question. "Yes. Raine is coming here. For the same reason I have asked all three of you to come here. But before I can explain anything to you, we must wait for her to arrive."

'Oh. And Diablo. I asked you to come here to shed a bit of light on my father....You are after all the last to see him alive.'

Rikku could sense that Sachi was watching her. To be honest, she didn't quite like the way she looked at her. It made her feel very uncomfortable. She reached over for her cap, and without saying a word, headed straight out the door.

She let out a sigh. "Maybe I can breathe now." Looking in both directions, she felt safer outside then she did inside. Placing her hands her pockets, she made her way to the back of the building. She was glad that she decided to leave her bag outside. Unzipping it, she reached in, and grabbed her good jacket. It was getting somewhat chilly outside, so she felt it was a neccesity.

'Five o' clock? Already?'

She placed her left hand on a random rung of the latter that she had left against the wall. Taking the time to take in all that had just happened, she took a deep breathe, then let it out, before climbing back up onto the roof, back to where this long day began.

Diablo stood there holding his sheathed blade in his hand. He looked about at he rag tag collection of people and he was astounded, what had Raeka done? He then caught the stray thought of the girl about Raeka and Rikku and he looked right at Sachi, he then projected into her mind. 'Give it time, I am sure he will accept you. If he doesn't, I will train you myself, I think I still can.' He then looked at Raeka, his eyes showing annoyance at him, Raeka probably would be confused, but he was sure he would find out eventually.

His attention was then caught by Rikku leaving as he shrugged slightly knowing she would not stray far, she was too inquisitive to leave without answers. He then set his blade down on the table and turned to Raeka and then asked, "I was meaning to ask you, who's blade is that you carry? Obviously it is not your own." He blinked once and then looked down at his shoe for a moment and then back up at Raeka.

Diablo want not much for mind games as he then said alloud, his voice annoyed, "So you wanna know about that b*****d Curio, do you? Then speak up and do not act like a foolish Mortal. Tell me what you want to know and I will tell you as much as I can." His eyes had flashed dangerously as he mentioned the name of that traitor, it was one person he would kill even if he lost his own life doing it.

Diablo's gaze shifted to the ground as he flexed his hands in his gloves angrily. It was something that haunted him to this day, he then looked about. He had let his mind wander a bit back to his past, he had to keep his mind set on here and now, revenge will come soon enough against his estranged brother.

Sachi frowned slightly, "I followed you here. You never asked me to come. I would've come in a flash if you asked me to." Her eyes shone mischieviously. Her eyes intently stared at the door, as if willing Raine to show up that moment. "Raine better get here soon....You do realize I get impatient easily right?" Her eyes darted to Raeka, testing his knowledge of his student. Her attention was caught when Rikku walked out. Watching Rikku, she arched her eyebrows. As boring as the situation was right now, she'd would never leave seeing as she barely knew what was going on at the moment. Then again, she'd probably end up following her out of curiousity. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, curiosity kills the cat.

Looking up suddenly when she heard Diablo's voice inside her mind, her feelings towards him softened. If he was willing to train her himself, then he shouldn't be all bad. But that didn't mean she was just going to desert Raeka. But she'd probably end up going to Diablo for advice every now and then once she began to trust him a bit more. Her eyebrows arched though. 'You think? What do you mean by that?' she replied back silently to him.

The girl smirked slightly. Never before had anyone reprimanded Raeka, in front of her at least. Of course, she quickly stopped and regained a serious and curious face for fear of getting in trouble. It wasn't like she was a goody goody two shoes, but she'd learned enough from Raeka that punishment is never a good thing. Watching Diablo's face, a shiver ran down her spine. He was extremely angry, and it showed by his expressions and actions.

"Curio....foolish mortal?" she mouthed to herself. It was a habit she did when she tried processing information through her impatient mind. Unfortunately, this didn't help since she didn't have enough information to process anyways. She'd heard Curio's name before, like many others, but her mind blanked as usual when she wanted to know things the most. "Stupid short term memory..." she mumbled.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 14, 2006 4:13 pm

'Slam'. That was the noise the bottle of alcohol made when Raeka removed it from his mouth, and placed it on the bar. His eyes met with Diablos'. He showed no signs of fear, even though Diablos' eyes had a rather errie look to them. A look that said if you even breathed a breath that the elf dissagreed with, he would gut you like a fish.

"Fine. You want me to speak? I'll speak." he said, as he pushed away from the bar. Standing up, he began to explain. "You asked about this blade first, so I shall tell you of it to begin with. I'm sure you know, that it a weapon of Darkfire decent. Since you own one yourself, I can tell you are Diablo Darkfire, just the same as you can tell I am not this weapons holder."

He lifted his right hand up. He used it to untie his cloak, which fell to floor. He turned to Sachi, so that she would know what was going on, while he continued to remove his shirt of daggers. "You see, Sachi, the Darkfire family is elven royalty, or so I've been told. The elves found a way to enchant weapons, so that they never break, never dull, and become sharp enough to cut through most materials, including more common metals. This 'spell' comes with a second effect..."

He placed his right hand on the hilt of the sword that lay at his side. Sliding it out slowly, anyone could see it was harmless. "The 'spell' completely corodes the blade when someone other then it's rightful owner weilds it." He held the blade up in the air. The sword was dulled so badly, that it was visible to the naked eye. There was no way it would draw blood. "Curio Darkon. That's who this blade belongs to. It is the only blade he will kill with. That is why I took it from him."

Rikku saw something coming from over the horizon. Even if she had the ability to sense auras, this particular figure did not have one. She picked up the pair of binoculars that was sitting on the roof from the morning. The figure was dressed in a green cloak, and was moving at an alarmingly fast rate of speed. She watched as it advanced. Suddenly, another figure crashed into it, and the first one stopped. The hood that covered his head had fallen. Rikku dropped the binoculars.

"How...how is he here?"

What was heading in her direction, was none other than Curio Darkon.

He then glanced at Sachi after her outburst, he could not help himself but to smile. It was not expected and it took him by surprise and he then replied to her through her mind as the connection still stood, 'Well I have not trained someone in some time, so I might be a bit rusty'

His ears perked slightly as he felt a strange presance in the distance, he payed no heed to it as he then looked at Raeka as he listened to what he had to say. He then tilted his head as he heard Raeka pronounce who the sword's owner was. As Raeka spoke of the enchantment he then realised that Raeke did not know all of the sword's secrets to the enchantment as he then picked up his own sword and leaned it on his shoulder. Something in his mind was not right.

As the nagging feeling increased, Rikku had then left the bar and the familiar but yet unfamiliar presance took over his mind like a wild fire as he attempted to identify the person whom belonged to the nagging feeling. As he continued to do this, he started to tune Raeka out his eyes glancing towards the direction he felt it, he then caught Rikku's reaction as he had a bit of a connection with her still as he then realised it as she did. He then said to her through their connection before it broke as she came to realise who it was, 'Get in here now...'

His left hand grasped the hilt of his sword and drew it out. He then demanded, to Raeka as he pointed the blade at him, the eerie look in his eyes getting worse, "Is this your doing? How the hell did he find this place?" He stepped into a fighting stance feeling as if Raeka was going to attempt to backstab him and this was a set up.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 15, 2006 5:31 pm

Nodding understandingly, she gave a small smile in return. 'Alright then, I'll take your word for it.' Turning her attention Raeka, she cringed slightly at his explanations, since they seemed slightly forced or as if he was telling something that he didn't quite enjoy explaining. Sitting up straighter, her eyes blinked but watched her master intently, letting each word soak in. At his last statement, she shuddered. It all sounded so intense, far beyond her understanding.

The girl jumped slightly at Diablo's voice for some reason; it sounded so serious and grim that it scared her. The first impression she had gained of the man was an easy-going, laid back personality, though she was well informed of his great power. Watching his tense actions, her curiousness drew her to the window as her green eyes peered out the dusty glass. She could see a figure in the distance, one she couldn't make out that well. Her eyes closed quickly, applying the information she had just learned to the current situation, just as Raeka had taught her. The first instinct of hers was that it was Curio, but she couldn't be sure since her feelings were in turmoil and too muddled to figure anything out.

Spinning around, her eyes watched Diablo, ready to cut between Raeka and Diablo. Everything was going fine and dandy, until Diablo sensed that aura she guessed. A shiver was sent down her spine, like earlier that day, at the fierce look that filled Diablo's eyes. Turning to her master, she looked at him questioningly. Her head turned back to the window, watching the shadow walk closer and closer.

The binoculars that Rikku dropped had fallen to the grass on the ground. She stood on the shingled roof of the bar, half dazed. When she heard Diablos' voice ring in her head, she realised that staying where she was could be a bad idea. She hastily made her way to the edge of the roof, and hopped off. Picking up the fallen binoculars, she wanted to get one last look as to what was happening. She peered through them one last time. There was another person standing with him. A red headed woman was standing and conversing. "What's going on?" she thought to herself, as she hurried into the bar.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raine stood about 10 feet from her adversary. She was slightly surprised that she was standing here, staring at her own father, with the intent to kill. She knew he was an evil man, that had to be stopped, but for some reason, she never thought the day would come.

"So, you followed me."

"I couldn't just let you get away."

"Aren't you affraid I might kill you, like I did your mother?"

"Without your favorite weapon? Not likely." She began to remove her favorite sword from it's sheath.

He raised his eyebrow. "So, you're prepared to kill your old man?"

"If it's what I must do..."

"....Then let's see it."

Raine quickly removed the sword from it's sheath. She moved. So quickly, it was not visible to the naked eye. It seemed almost as though she completely dissappeared. Within a second, she reappeared to his left. Her weapon was on it's way to striking the cloaked elf. 'Thump'. That was the noise Raines' neck made when Curios' hand struck it. Seems like she wasn't fast enough to catch him.

Hitting the ground, unconcious, Curio turned away from Raine. His target was her brother.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raeka eyed Diablos' blade. Quite a magnificant weapon. He replaced the sword he held into the sheath. He placed his hands up in the air. "I swear to you, I have nothing to do with Curios' prescence here." He turned to the door as Rikku walked in. She looked around. Somewhat confused as to why Diablo had his weapon drawn on Raeka, she asked, "What the hell is going on here?!"

Raeka closed his eyes, as he tried to assess the situation. "It appears that my father, Diablo's brother, your master, Curio Darkon, is on his way to this location. Possibley for his weapon, which I carry. Diablo seems to mistake me for being on his brothers side. He paused, as he opened his eyes. "I can't sense any life force from him. Perhaps he's found a way to hide his aura. Maybe he followed Raine with her knowing."

He turned around, with his arms still in the air, hoping not to set Diablo off.

"He must not get his hands on this sword!"
PostPosted: Thu Mar 16, 2006 3:08 pm

Diablo started at Raeka, he then lowered his sword and said, "For now I shall take your word, but if I have any reason to doubt you..." His voice trailed off and then picked back up, "That will be the end of you."

He then turned his attention to Sachi and said, "I am sorry for my outburst, but I have not always been good with others or trust." He then looked out the door something else catching his attention and he muttered, "Raine..." He did not know her well at all but still felt a bit of a bond with her, after all she was his neice.

He then turned towards the door and dashed towards it swiftly and was soon outside. He knew that he would have to be quick to make it to Raine before Curio killed her, or worse. He knew what the worse thing was, and it was not something he would let another person go through. Diablo's eyes were filled with a blind rage as he made his way towards his brother, he then stopped as he came across the unconsious body of Raine but no Curio as he looked about.

Was it a trap? Was the first thing through Diablo's mind as he looked about, his sword grasped tightly in his hand as he then kneeled down over Raine and he gently laid his hand on her arm to make sure she was still alive. It was not the way a person gifted with the ability to heal others would do it, but he was not willing to get off gaurd just to do a full check on her as he knew that Curio could not have gone far.

Sachi's feet quickly followed Diablo, out of curiosity. She stayed far behind though, knowing that this was probably going to be a clash between the brothers, probably including Raeka. Her sharp eyes watched Diablo quickly check over Raine, who was a person that had influenced her life greatly. Occassionally she'd come around talk with her, which meant a lot since Raine could relate to her better than Raeka could. Rushing over, she kneeled beside Diablo, but sensed his rush to find Curio.

"Go, I'll take care of her..." she said clearly. Although healing wasn't the strongest power she possessed, she knew enough that could keep Raine aive. Her green eyes darted back towards the door of the bar, willing Raeka to come out and lend some advice. The girl was obviously confused, but tried to remain calm and under control. Before, she'd scoffed at Raeka behind his back when he'd told her this would come in handy some day, but it really was an asset in moments of turmoil.

Her hand reached out a ways, picking up a sword that lay on the ground, speckled with the dust from the road. Brushing it off softly, she recognized it as the sword Raine always brought with her whenever Sachi saw her. It was her favorite sword; she'd learned from Raine a while back. Sachi fingered it slightly, as if it were a fragile piece of glass that could break at any moment. Soon enough, her hand closed around the hilt firmly, not placing it back in its sheath for fear it would weigh down Raine.

If one watched the girl, they could easily sense her worry, even if they possessed no unwordly powers. Raine was almost like an older sister, or something of the sort since she had no sisters. Shrugging it off, her eyes wandered a bit, landing on a red area where Raine had probably been attacked. Wincing, she had no idea what kind of power Curio possessed; she'd only heard of it every now and then from Raeka and just a few moments ago. If it was enough to knock Raine unconcious with one blow of his hand, there was no telling what he could do with the sword Raeka held now.

"Raeka!" she gasped softly. If he held Curio's sword, then Curio obviously was after it. Her heart skipped a beat, hoping Raeka could hold his own against the man. How can I doubt him?! Don't be stupid, Sachi..Of course he'll survive! Even with the slightly comforting comments she gave herself and the warm breeze, Sachi still felt a shiver run up her spine.
