"Cool!" Miku squealed. Then she tilted her head curiously. "What are thunder balls anyway?"

"One of my specialties. I trap the lightning in a glass ball. It serves as a wonderful light, or if you break them, it creates a blinding flash. These new ones will have the sound of thunder with them." Jupiter watched her parents for their reaction.
Shooting Star nodded, "Excellent upgrade, my daughter. Though I am not sure how well they will work in battle...the thundering sound might make it hard to hear orders."
Sunspot shook his head, "It is an attempt, and if it works, it is a success. There are pluses to both balls."

She watched with a fascinated expression, bouncing in her spot.

"Miku, you're bouncing. Would you like to get started on your little mansion?"

"Then if you'll step back, I'll start on the walls." Shooting Star smiled. The chance to flex her magic was an exciting thing. She rarely ever got to use it to it's full ability in this world.

She bounced back, her wings instantly going into overdrive to keep her from landing on the ground again. She hovered, watching with excited curiosity.

Shooting Star buried her hooves into the ground, closing her eyes and calling to the solid earth beneath her. The ground shuddered, and soon, rising slowly out of the ground were walls and a large, stone staircase. The skeleton of a two story manor house stood before her, and as she exhaled, rectangular openings blew out of the solid walls, in the shapes of doors and windows.

"What do you think? Is it a suitable manor, Miku?"

"So you'll have plenty of room to grow. Now...we need doors and windows...Jupiter?"
Jupiter grinned and picked a spot on the ground where the soil was sandy. "Perfect..." She looked up at the sky, then back down at the ground and stomped her hoof into the soil, calling down a bolt of lightning from the heavens and directing it in a straight line along the sand. "It won't be perfect glass...but it's glass nonetheless." She let go of the lightning bolt and pulled up on the earth, exposing the glass plate that the lightning had made in the sand. "Might have to cut it a bit..."

At the flash of lightning, Miku yelped and, in a jitter of nerves, shot up into the sky. Halfway up, she forgot what she was doing and ended up flitting away.
Indivar had been wandering through the trees, minding his own business, when a blot of lighting had flashed out of the clear skies. Curiosity got the better of the steed, and he made his way toward the flash.

Jupiter faltered, "Hey...Why'd she leave?"
"Sadly, my daughter, I believe we spooked her."
Shooting Star nodded, "But I think she will come back. I hope." She spotted a flash of blue in the bushes and frowned. "We have someone else near though. Come on out!"

Indivar stepped out of the bushes, bowing his head apologetically. "I didn't mean to lurk. I saw a flash and came to investigate."
