Petra glanced up to his trainer warily when the other trainer held out her hand, but when Roar didn't seem to object, Petra took another timid step forward to sniff Rosie's hand. He stretched out his neck as far as he could to do so, paws firmly planted next to his trainer just in case he needed to bolt away.
Roar waved a hand dismissively at the apology before he shoved his hand back in his pocket. "He's still pretty shy - I'm still gettin' him socialized," he said, making sure Rosie thought he was paying close attention when, in reality, the only thing he was watching closely from behind his sunglasses was the blue vaporeon at Rosie's side.

Rosie smiles gently, watching the other Vaporeon sniff at her hand that she kept completely still for him, not attempting to pet him untill he becomes a little more comfortable.
"he's so pretty, I've never seen another Vaporeon that looked this unique, at least not other then Vahy'n" she pointed out.
leaving her hand out for Petra she tilted her head up, blue eyes looking instead to the Vaporeon's trainer.
the young man looked pretty unique himself. she couldn't see his eyes because of the visor he was wearing, white hair under a purple hat. he certainly had his own scene of style, and it looked really neat in Rosie's opinion.
"My name is Rosie, its nice to meet you"

"My friends call me Roar," Roar replied to her then glanced back to the other vaporeon. "Vahy'n? That's her name? S'an interestin' one." He reached down to give Petra's center fin a gentle, encouraging stroke before he spoke again. "Yeah, 'ya don't see too many vaporeons with colors other than the norm. Petra hatched like this - nobody knows why." Technically, it was half true.
More curious than wary now, Petra finally took two timid steps forward to sniff Rosie's hand more thoroughly, pressing his cool nose into her palm. He cast a wary glance to the other vaporeon, remembering her from the bushes and not certain what to think of her just yet.

"Roar" she repeated, looking up at him. "thats a good nickname, I've never heard anything like it before"
she smiled at him gently, she liked his nickname, though wondered why he didn't say his real name.
"I was told that my Grand mother named her before she was given to my mom, I guess its tradition to give the Veporeon those kinds of names."
Rosie was smiling up at him as she explained. it seemed there wasn't a time she wasn't smiling or looking happy.
Looking back to the Vaporeon when she felt his cold nose on her palm, and giggles softly, curling her fingers slightly to gently brush them over his cheek.
"Maybe he's from a line like Vahy'n is." she guessed. "Where did you get his egg from?"

Roar shrugged one shoulder, feigning casualness as he replied, "He was a present from a family member. My brother - he goes by Fury - was given his umbreon by the same one." He nodded down the hill to where his twin could be seen playing with his crimson-marked umbreon. "He didn't go into detail on where they came from, but he always liked to keep things mysterious."
Deciding this stranger wasn't so bad, Petra took another timid step closer and tilted his head into her hand, trying to get her fingers to the side of his neck where he loved Roar to scratch him.

Tilting her head softly as she peered past the man she was talking to, spotting the other man, his brother as he played with a beautiful Umbreon.
She smiles sweetly, watching the two of them for a moment, before looking down at Petra upon feeling his head bumping into her hand. Moving her hand to scratch him gently, petting him.
"Ohh your so cute~"
Vahy'n remained quietly on the other side of Rosie, not as interested as attention as the other Vaporeon was, but she watched them politely, feather fluttering with the soft breeze.
"Your brother looks a lot like you, do you guys go out and train together a lot?"
Rosie asked after a moment of doting on Petra.

Roar glanced down the hill briefly at Fury who was trying to wear Darkshine out again with the ball. "Yeah, we do - an' we look alike because we're twins." He looked back to Rosie. "We train ours together so they'll obey if one of us ever needs ta borrow a Pokémon from the other." Of course, Petra was still too new and undersocialized to really get anything out of the exercises just yet, but right now, they were just working on getting him accustomed to being outside.
Pleased with how quickly the stranger found his favorite spot, Petra leaned into the scratching and nearly turned himself upside down trying to get more of the lovely feeling, eyes closing in delight.

Already large eyes opened slightly wider in amazement when he mentioned that his brother was actually a twin.
She didn’t comment on that, but her expression was a reply enough. Her smile saying how wonderful she thought that was, and how lucky he was to have a sibling so close, not only by being together but in age.
Her expression became soft and she reached her other hand down and gently stroked Petra’s side. Giggling softly at his reaction to the attention.
“Such a good boy~”
She scratched at his fins for a bit more, before she slowly moved her hands away, brushing her fingers under his jaw lightly while the young trainer pushed herself straight up again.
A hand reaching up to place it on the side of her face, keeping her hair from flicking into her face when the breeze kicked up again, clearing her vision of the older man, whom she smiled warmly at.
"Do you live in the city?"

"Just outside it," Roar lied with well-practiced ease then laughed softly at the disappointed snort Petra gave when Rosie stopped scratching his neck. "It's kinda in the middle of nowhere." He reached down to stroke Petra's fins when the white vaporeon hopped up on his back feet and rested his front paws on Roar's hip to bump his head into his trainer's hand.

The city was a big place, she wouldn't be surprised if he did live there and had never seen him, as unique as he and his twin looked.
she opened her mouth to say something, when the movement of her Vaporeon caught her attention.
Looking down at Vany'n who lifted her head and gently nosed at the pokegear on her hip.
"hum?" glancing down at it with a few blinks before she smiled and pat Vahy'n head.
"Vahy'n's right, I have some projects I need to do for my class"
Folding her hands behind her back and bowing slightly to him.
"I'm sorry to leave so soon after we met, I'm glad we got to talk."

Roar nodded and waved his free hand dismissively. "No problem. Do 'ya come here often? We usually come here to play fetch 'bout once a week. Maybe we'll run inta each other again." In fact, he was counting on it. After hearing that the striped vaporeon originally belonged to Rosie's grandmother, he was having second thoughts about capturing it - an old Pokémon would be much harder to trick away from its master, and even if he managed it, training it would be near impossible. Still...maybe if he could get hold of her for just a little while...

Rosie smiled, and nodded "I come this way a lot to get in and out of the city." tilting her head a little, having a hard time making eye contact with him since he had that visor on, but she just looked at the visor.
lifting a hand up, before walking over to pick up her backpack.
"I'll see you around hopefully, I hope training with Petra goes well"

Roar waved after her with a short, "Yeah, see 'ya,", before he started back down the hill to rejoin his twin. Petra blinked after him a few times then turned to glance after the stranger and her vaporeon. He hesitated before he gave Vahy'n a parting wave with his tail and bounded down the hill after his trainer.

smiling brightly with a happy wave, she looked down to Vany'n who saw the wave from Petra, and in return bowed her head softly.
"ready Vany'n?"
She asked, before the two of them started off toward the path.
"Bye Roar!"
