I love to look upon the glowing flames
Watching them twirling and dancing about
Whirling round like a curling lion’s mane
Rising higher, if they could talk they’d shout
Red golden wisps swirl around cloyingly
Beckoning for me to venture in near
Liquid heat lures me forward ployingly
Telling me that there is nothing to fear
I sit mesmerized by flames not to touch
In my mind I know embrace is forbid
But wanting to pass my hand through so much
I inch closer, so close passing point mid
The silken flames flicker about my face
As they claim me in their sweet warm embrace
Any other notes: I know that I lose the iambic pentameter accents at some points...I've kept it all in 10 syllables per line...but I couldn't quite get the up down going on all the lines. I also know that my puctuation isn't propper...was always really bad at that part of grammer....other than that I'm sure Lorika will rip it appart!!!!
