"Oh." Tally frowned. Maybe she just happened to know so many tentacle people? The child just shrugged, "But how's he got four?" She asked with a puzzled expression. Everyone she knew only had two.
Tally stood on her toes in order to reach another box, this one with actual shoes. Her gaze didn't leave Steve as she plopped to the floor and started pulling on the shoes. Her nose wrinkled as she felt her toes being confined in the small space provided by the blue and black tennis shoes.

"He's got two little ones on his head." Steve said nonchalantly, as if everyone had appendages growing out of their heads for some reason or another.
"Why not try this kind?" he asked reaching out to pull out a pair of strappy high heeled sandals. "No toes?"

"On his head? Woah!" Tally giggled, "I've never seen somethin' like that." Her eyes were round with interest. Maybe she should ask Lissy if she'd ever had tentacles growing from her head, but then the child flushed. Of course Lissy hadn't!
Tally's gaze went to the high heeled sandals with interest. She'd never tried shoes like that before. With a grin she pulled off the tennis shoes and reached for the sandals Steve had. "They look neat." With ease she slid her feet into them. "Aah."

"yeah but I saw a few people with wings growing from their heads?" Steve suggested. His one Mommy had friends like that.
"They look uncomfy to walk in." Steve commented, looking around for a flatter version. They weren't just like flip flops - maybe they were fancy flip flops?
