I guess I can cut enough slack to say that he did have the Master Emerald in mind during SA2. But SA2's story doesn't exist in my mind, as I cannot rationalise it, so yeah, the gradually degrading rapping Jamican who has had 4 different voices in the past decade (Ryan Drummand's Shuffle Knuckles being my favourite, I hate his SA2/Heroes voice and the Shadow/Rush one is worse).

They just have no idea what they want the character to do besides turn up. It's getting aggrivating.

Yes, Knuckles was done better by SA1... but it's not hard to do him better than SA2. Really. That stank of shoehorned plot.

Well, since she lived 3000 years before SA1 is set, I'd be impressed if that were true. But I don't think it is, Miss Mew. :p

Anyways, I quite like Tikal because of her cuteness and innocence, but I think Samwise is right; she is a Mary Sue. Knuckles was great in SA1 and I enjoyed playing his game the most after Sonic's; he had a whole lot going for him back then. But since SA1, like all the cast, he just seems to keep on appearing because that's what we fans have come to expect and some of us would soon complain if he didn't show.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream (& Cheese), Shadow, and Rouge seem to have become the Sonic gaming universe's central characters, whether or not there is a decent narrative reason for them to be in the game. But while almost all the characters actually fit into the story in Shadow the Hedgehog (including Chaotix and Omega), I just don't see why Knuckles is involved. Did Angel Island blow up without anyone telling us or something?

If you're referring to "the Servers are the Seven Chaos..." then that could either be because he heard Tikal saying it in a flashback sequence from SA1 OR it's a piece of Echidna lore that he just happens to know. You could ask how he knows all of Angel Island's secrets if you wanted.

Whoa!! Totaly forgot about Julie-sue! She's totaly kick butt! I almost forgot she's apart of the Chaotix team. That makes me like her even more.

Hey there's alot of awesome echidnas. Well, in the comics anyways. I really like Tikal, but I'd have to say Knuckles is my favorite in this one.
