Oystein I would say the guys that ispired me the most were guitarits like Clapton, Hendrix, Vaughn, Satriani, Page, and Iommi. THose were the guys I was listening to way back when. Now I hear guitarits like Alexi Laiho and go WOW. we're two of a kind, lol,my step-dad inspired me the most though,

I would have to say that Page, Petrucci, A little of Randy Rhoads, some Hendrix, Some Frusciante, and even a little bit of the eagles early stuff inspired me a lot. I'm kind of a mix between Page and Petrucci right now; I have different stages in my guitar playing. Page has been dominating my playing style for about 6 or seven months now, and before it was a lot of Dream Theater and Pink Floyd stuff that I was playing.

My guitar teacher is my hero, but not my inspiration. In the wise words of Gearzero, my inspiration is all around me - it's life (allthough not so much TV and movies, and a little bit more people and relationships).
But my guitar teacher is my hero because I wanna be one. He also manages to support a family on a guitar teacher sallery, which I also wanna do.
One day.

Eric Clapton was the reason I started playing. As I started to play more guitar, I started to like alot of classic rock guitarists like Jimmy Page and David Gilmour. But now as I have started playing more metal, I have started liking the guitar style of Kirk Hamett and Matt Heafy.

There's a guy in my youth group's band that's been playing for four years now. I've alway admired him, especially for his unyeilding integrity and purity. It's because of him that I wanted to play guitar.

Brian May, from Queen-- listening to him play made me want to pick up a guitar.
My dad- he's probably the main reason I play open chords, I know he's the main reason I like bass runs and a wound 3rd.
Jim Heath (the Reverend Horton Heat)- This guy is just awesome in a retro way, has a full sound despite only having a three peice band, plays the same style as me but a shitload better. Something to aspire to.

Weird how it was a singer who inspired me to play guitar. It was Gwen Stefani.
