I read "Life of Pi" recently, and in it the main character describes himself as simultaneously being Christian, Muslim, and Hindu. Obviously, he wasn't a fundamentalist of any one of these three religions, but the book described him as taking philosophy and ritual from all three of the faiths equally and just sort of making his own religion. So, he was and wasn't a Christian/Muslim/Hindu. Anyway, as far as mixing Hinduism/Buddhism with Judaism goes, I think it's possible, but only if you decide first thing that you're not going to take either religion to necessarily be literally true in all aspects. If you focus more on the deeper messages of the religions than on trivial beliefs, though, then yeah, you could probably be a part of both religions together.
