As battered as Demy was, it appeared that even in his wounded state that he wouldn't let the secrets of his skills slip. Watching him, it almost seemed as if Demy was focusing on another screen; alt-tabbed to another window. He didn't sound very good either, and taking into consideration that Demy grabbed him earlier... Man. This level really, really blew.

"Well man only one way to find out! You don't get any backsies or resets or undo's if this ends up hurting even worse then you already look, y'know? 'sides, when you're more coherent you owe me telling me what in Ninja Gaiden happened to you. You look worse than Ryu did when faced with infinitely spawning bats!" Alex took a step close to Demy, arms wide as if asking for a hug.

Then he stopped and stepped backwards. "Uh, nevermind man. I might jar your ribs even more, and, uh, not to mention that it'd just look awkward. C'mon man, keep truckin! You should be almost there, 'less you want me to go jog ahead and hijack a wheelchair ala Grand Theft... uhm, Hospital? Wheelchair?"

"Hey man, I know in some video games offering an alternative direction doesn't jarr your HP down, but this isn't an ARR-PEA-GEE and I'd rather not have you be the one following me to the shower area just to flush the toilet and make the water extremely cold in retribution." Granted the games he was talking about involved shoving monsters with superhero-like abilities into tiny little balls, but that wasn't the point.

Alex nodded at the offer of a wheelchair being turned down, and instead took the opportunity to talk Demy's ear off. Most of it was mainly Alex comparing the current plight to a video game and how any minute something drastic should interrupt them while the player had their controller down to watch the lameass cutscene, but thankfully nothing of the sort did happen.

What did happen, however, was that they had finally arrived at the hospital.
