nathan_ngl Kiashana nathan_ngl ZonkotheSane Kiashana I dunno, maybe the one of the top of the main forum? I should totally smack you for being so out of it. ...whatever happened to being shomer neggia? I thought the whole Issur of shomer neggia was for boys only... basically because the problem with a guy toutching a girl that didnt do a tvayla causes the boy to transgress the prohibition of niddah... Was I wrong? sweatdrop rolleyes Doesn't matter. I'm conservative. I have male friends. In fact, most of my closest friends are male. I hug my male friends. I hit my male friends when they are stupid. Zonko is no exception to my anger. Haha, okay smile . My 15 year old sister still hits me, and prides with the fact that I can't hit her back. She has no idea how mad it makes me scream ! It's not fair... rolleyes er....you can. shomer neggia doesn't apply to direct family. nothing wrong with having friends who are guys, or hugging. you can hug without touching.

I spend summer in, like, short shorts and a bikini, maybe a tank top. And the guys are in their swim trunks and a t-shirt.

There is a problem with direct family, there is still the laws of niddah... anything the girl toutches becomes tamei with nidda- that includes her clothing, (which of all objects accepts Shenei La'Tuma'h, because it is considered a utensil... and it's almost like directly toutching the source itself), so that, above all things should not be toutched (even if you do, it isnt really bad, because we are all tamei today anyways...). I'm just stating the halaha sweatdrop , i don't mean to be an idiot or anything sweatdrop .

...I'm totally lost right now. Let's go with this: If I were Orthodox, and actually worried about this stuff, I'd have to throw out half my wardrobe and change summer camps.

Kiashana ...I'm totally lost right now. Let's go with this: If I were Orthodox, and actually worried about this stuff, I'd have to throw out half my wardrobe and change summer camps. probably but don't worry about it, their is a firm jewish ideal that you can't be tested in things you can't pass and all things are relative to the individual. So if your worried about the whole hell thing then No god doesn't expect you to burn your wardrobe and change your life overnight

For me it's not necessarily with camps and stuff, but I mean, come on! How am I supposed to spar guys and learn takedowns without touching them? xp It's not like I wrestle guys or anything like that, but I just agree with Kia's view on this one. No offense, but touching a member of the opposite sex hardly means you're having sex with them. I'm sorry if this offends anybody sweatdrop
