Tish smiled at Howl while she busily took three of the four grab-bags away from Luvvie, replacing them with an apologetic look to Aaron. "Helo, Howl," she said, while Luvvie squealed and grabbed for the rose the boy offered her.
"Melvin," she declared as she took it, blinking big blue eyes up at the nice boy who'd given her Melvin. "Hello," she said at last, a smile spreading across her face as she beamed up at him. Tish, finished with the grab bags, came closer to the child and toddler and rested her hand on Luvvie's head.
"Hi, Howl," she said with another smile, taking the yellow rose gently. "Here to charm all the girls, are you?"
Miriam lifted her head and peeked up at Darcy, the red gem-eyes of her mask glinting eerily. There was nothing creepy about her response, however, as she squealed and reached eagerly for the kitty, wrapping her little arms around it and snuglging him to her. "Yaaaay, a kitty of my own! My vewy own kitty! I'm gonna call him Cowin!"

Azrael grinned at Imani, trying to memorize both her name and face so he didn't forget later. "Uh... Dunno. Never tried to skate before. Have you ever skated?" he asked, suddenly wishing there was less people around. Large groups of people always put him on edge for some reason. In an effort to be polite, he waved slightly to the other girl that bounced over that Imani referred to as Julie.

Howl paused, slightly surprised that Tish had guessed incorrectly. "Of course not," he defended himself with ease, "I have merely come to make a statement. If Sophie does not show up, what's to keep me from flirting with every girl I see?" He winked at her. "I must confess that this isn't quite standerd--especially not for me." It was true, when the wizard normally went to court a girl, he usually intended the girl to benefit him in some way--as in providing him with infomation--keep your minds out of the gutter, guys.
Not like this; he'd never done it to get another girl's attention, especially not his wife's. Especially not his wife's, because he knew that if he had attempted this before hand, he would have ended up with several less suits than he would have liked. He would have probably become deaf as well, but that was another story. Sophie did like to yell so. He paused in this train of thought to look from Tish to Luvvie. "Hello," he said, giving the toddler a smile. It seemed that this girl was somehow related to Tish--making her a bad choice when it came to picking someone to flirt with.
It wasn't a good idea to make a person who knew your entire history angry. Howl knew this; he was aware that it could lead to blackmail. "Your daughter?" he asked, looking to Tish. "You didn't tell me you had kids."

Lamnishan carried Cookie over towards the box of kittens everyone had clustered around. They'd grabbed a goodie-bag on the way in, and that was now in the blonde's purse. She and her daughter leaned over the box and Lam let out a noise of surprise.
"It's like Cookie, but in miniature." she commented, looking from the chimera kittens to her daughter and back.
The tot, meanwhile, glanced at Miriam and her kitty, mewing and waving.
Julie grinned at Imani and the boy she was with. "Hi there." she said warmly to Azzie before latching onto her friend's arm. "I sawwwwwwww, I wonder what kind of candy's in them. Do you think we should get into it?"
Pogo and Patton followed after their bouncy sister rather easily. The furry child was wearing a large hat and a coat today, so she didn't look as eyeblinding as was her usual. She waved at Imani too, eager to meet her sister's friend.
"'Mani, this is Pogo." the purple haired girl said, pointing to her sibling, "And the brown one's Patton. THey're my new sisters! Who's your friend?" Julie said it all in one breath, pointing to each sister, then to Azzie as she spoke.
And speaking of Patton, the girl had started to wander away, wanting to investigate the skating contraptions. That's what everyone was here for, was it not?
The next pair to arrive was a tall blonde and a little befreckled girl with bird feet. The only person that might possibly look more princely than the man at present was Howl, which is probably what the boy was going for anyway. The girl, meanwhile, looked anything but, with her hair in small pigtails at the nape of her neck.
Upon entering, she spotted three things of interest - goodie bags, her Mama, and her 'brother'. "Iggy!" Maggie called, dashing over towards the boy as fast as one can dash on bird feet.
She grinned when she reached him, hopping a bit. "Heeeey, we match! I like your hood!" she greeted with a grin.
Vance sighed and approached Blaice. "Good day again, Miss Blaice."

"Nope, but my mama's real good at it so she promised she would teach me!" Imani chirped.
Imani laughed with Julie. "I was more interested in the toys, though candy is nice too," she said with a nod before waving to Pogo. "Hi Pogo," she said, before taking a sidestep so Az and Julie could easily see each other without her in the way.
"This is Azrael," she said before turing to Az once more. "And this is my friend Julie! Oh, by the way Az, were you born around Halloween like I was?" she asked, tilting her head.

Darcy rolled her eyes at Howl's over the top response. Wow, was he for real? Maybe her acting had been too convincing? Or was he messing with her the way she had tried to mess with him? She chuckled, shaking her head. She then smiled at the little girl, patting her head. "Cowin, huh? Such a nice name." she commented, amused. "Take good care of him then, alright?"

Iggy pocketed his goodie bag and grinned just as Maggie reached him. "Thank you, I wanted to be special today, we can be special together." Sharing attention with Maggie was acceptable for the little blond becuase they were siblings in a way and there was enough people here to share. The small souls that regularly floated around Iggy drifted over to encompass the bird footed girl as well, adding their glow to her skin as they cast light upon it.
Blaice gave Vance a sympathetic look " Good afternoon Vance." She wasn't disappointed in seeing him again but she also didn't understand how or why Iggy and Maggie had attached themselves to each other. Most single parent children were not that weird as far as she knew.
Phillip carried Nate over towards where the smell of unhealthy but fun to indulge in food was coming from. Perhaps he should start with a small snack and then maybe move onto trying to skate with the little bony boy in his arms.

Azrael paused briefly before fully replying, looking Imani over more carefully after her question. She definitely had a sort of Halloween flair to her looks, didn't she? "Hi Julie, and I was. Was it that hard to tell?" he asked, grinning widely. From his pumpkin tipped tail, to his bright orange hair, he was pretty sure he could dress up like a pumpkin no problem. Well... If pumpkins had tails he could.

Eve sat down next to a chair, eating a little of the candy in the goodie bag. She watched everyone while feeling too shy to interact with anyone. Her mother seemed to having the same trouble as Eve watched her get something to eat.
Ivy was watching the other adults, but gave up on trying to find someone to interact with. She got sight of her daughter and joined her as the little girl didn't seem to be talking with the others.

"It's a new arrangement," Tish said softly, smiling down at Luvvie, who peered at Howl through her wide blue eyes for a long, long moment, seeming almost shy.... before launching herself at the boy wizard with a cry of "Mine! My Lindsey!" And a happy squeal.
Tish tried to fight back a laugh at the toddler's abrupt claiming of Howl, but failed miserably. "Looks like you have more than Sophie to worry about, Howl."
Miriam cuddled the kitty she now had, though she didn't quite understand something..... Looking up at Darcy she asked, "Why's it wawm an' moving? The last kitty didn't move!"

Imani giggled a bit and shook her head. "No, not really," she commented as she took the time to peer at his tail. She found the tiny pumpkin on it cute, though was curious to know if it was real or not, and how it didn't seem to spoil it was was real. Then again she was the girl with the irremovable mask, so she really had nothing to talk about.
"Wanna grab a snack before skating?" she asked to both Julie and to Azzie, wanting nothing more then to hang out with both of them.

Cookie pouted, Miriam having completely not acknowledged her attempted greeting. Lam shrugged, noting her daughter's expression. "Let's go look around, Cookie." the blonde told her, carrying the tot away a bit.
Cookie spotted Eve, tugging at her mother's sleeve a bit and indicating the pair. The blonde shrugged a bit and the duo went to see if maybe these two might need some company as well.
"Hey there." Lam greeted Ivy and Eve with a warm smile, the infant waving and mewing at the girl her age. This child was patchy!
Julie smiled. "Sure!" the toddler agreed, "Can Pogo come too?" the toddler inquired, grinning brightly at Azzie and Imani. For an odd boy with a pumpkin tail, Az seemed nice enough, and her best friend liked him so that was good.
The toddler watched the little lights swirling around her and giggled, reaching out to pat them. "Sure we can. It's a special event so we should be special for it." Maggie agreed.
Vance smiled back, nodding a bit, "Good afternoon, Ms. Blaice. How are you?" he wasn't that disappointed in seeing her either. The man had decided it was just better to accept his daughter's attachment to the woman and her child. It wasn't really harmful, after all.

Howl paused and smiled at Luvvy, before she launched herself at him, anyway. Then his smile turned into a grimance. He looked up at Tish for assistance. "Lindsey?" he echoed. "That's not my name; I'm Howl. I suppose Lindsey's better than Howell... Anything is, really. Only Megan ever calls me that. Call me Howl, though." No great wizard Howl, Royal Wizard Pendragon, Horrible Howl, or even Heartless Howl; he had recently taken to giving people the name he had taken on himself.
"Nice to meet you, Luvvy," he added quickly, before she could rename him again. "Tiiish..." He whined. "It is not at all funny. I'm suffering! If Sophie saw me like this, she would most certainly yell... and then laugh at me, which is even worse..." he mumbled. He knew that Tish knew that he secretly enjoyed making Sophie angry; and making her laugh was one of his favorite things to do. That wouldn't keep him from complaining.

Eve smiled when Cookie and Lam came over, handing the goodie bag to her mother since she trusted her mother not to eat the goodies in it. The little ragdoll waved at her, "Hi."
Ivy smiled lightly, "Hello. I hope you are enjoying the party. She remembered the child from past parties and knew her daughter did too.
Eve walked over to them, happy to be able to interact with another her own age. She only hoped her mother wouldn't be too shy.
Ivy chuckled as she watched her daughter, sitting the goodie bag beside her as she didn't feel like making a fool of herself at the moment.

Azrael grinned. Snacks meant cookies, and he LOVED cookies! Well, mostly anything sugary was alright with him, but cookies and cake were his all-time favorites. Ice cream tended to be a little too cold for him to truly enjoy.
"Sure, an' I don' mind. Who Pogo?" he asked, still rather new to most of the people and their families. He briefly noticed Cookie enter the rink earlier and made a mental note to go say hi later.
