Solstice cocked an eyebrow at her question and glanced off to the side, trying not to sweat too much. "Ummm... I was just, you know, giving a sporting chance~" Yeah.. that's good... "What fun is a chase if there's no play to it?" He jutted out his head towards her, giving her a cocky look. "What say you to that?!"
Quickly his sat back, feeling like a bit like a doofus. He scratched the back of his head, sweating. "I must sound like such an idiot." His ears drooped a bit and he sighed. "My mind just gets going and well.. it just doesn't stop. Heh"

"There's not need for play when there's a challenge," Monday purred back, playfully contradicting him but not actually meaning to seriously debate. She hopped up on a bare branch, which miraculously didn't break under the large structure of a goddess. She was becoming used to using quick flutters of her wings to remain ever light on her feet without actually flying. She reach a paw down the short distance to motherly fluff up his hair and grin at him. "I don't think you're an idiot," She assured him. "However, I do think you couldn't catch me even if you tried your hardest," She added, the playful tone evident in her voice as she sprang off the branch and several feet away before turning back to look back at him, wondering if he could be baited into this childish game of tag, ready to dart off at full speed if he should move towards her.

Solstice huffed and pursed his lips, his brow scrunched down, and feeling flustered. Is this chick trying to get me flustered? he thought to himself. He fluffed his wings out and sighed a bit as he tucked them back in.
When she messed up his hair a few strands fell in his face. Solstice rolled his eyes and blew some air up at his hair, trying to lazily get it out of his face. "You're a semi-aggravating young lady, Monday." he said chuckling a bit. The hair refused to move when he blew up at it so he shook his head to try and flip it. The hair tousled up in the hair then landed a bit off to the side and he smiled a bit happier.
He cocked an eyebrow at her childlike playfulness. Solstice tilted his head a bit and lifted a paw to start stepping forward, watching her and waiting for a reaction.

"Well I'd hate to aggravate a secret agent," Monday said with a bit of a smirk. Her muscles twitched, having been prepared to turn and zoom away way from him, but when she saw he only took one step, she mimicked with one of her back paws, taking a step back away from him.
Her tail flicked behind her in anticipation a her reflective eyes watched hi body for telltale signs of what he was going to do next.
After a moment, the tension grew to be too much for her and she sprinted off, hoping he'd chase after to play and not turn and leave her behind on her own. She made her perch in the shadows, easily blending in with the nightscape, watching the path she'd come from.

Solstice twinged at her remark, beginning to feel regret for saying anything about it before. He took his paws to his face and pulled down on his cheeks, making a weird and squishy face look.
He watched her dash off and cocked an eyebrow. First she teases me, then expects me to chase her? Oi! Solstice shook his head out, and the shaking followed down his spine to his tail. "Well.. Not who I'd pick to chase, but it could be fun." He smiled to himself as he thought of another for a moment.
Solstice shook out his right paw, then his left, then stretched out his back legs one at a time. He swished his hair around one last time because a few rebellious peaces had decided to attack his eyes once more. "I guess it couldn't hurt to play her game... but maaaaaaaaaan! I so don't feel like running." He felt lazy as he began to trot off in the direction she had take to. He glanced about lazily as he "looked" for her. Feeling a wee bit obnoxious he started calling out "Oh where, oh where did she go? I don't think I'll ever find her. She is much too fast for me."

Monday rolled her eyes with half a smirk on her face, resting her head in her paw as she watched him for a bit before the energetic goddess pounced out on the lazy god, announcing her presence and quickly getting off him, trotting in a short circle before sitting down facing him.
"For someone who can spin such a creative tale, I'm surprised your not very playful," She said like an innocent observation, tilting her head a little.

Solstice laughed as she pounced on him. Once again he shook himself out after she got off and sat down himself. He looked at her, trying to keep a serious expression on his face, and said "It takes a very special..." He then rubbed under his nose and coughed a bit "annoyingpeskyfox" he spilled out quickly then coughed again "to bring out the side of me that you've managed to bring out." He decided to playfully be bratty and stuck his tongue out at her while he scrunched his nose.

"Alright," She said, her quizzical expression fading back into her neutral/positive one that seemed to remain default on her face at most times. "I'm sorry I stifled your other side," She said honestly, though lacking the expected tone of guilt tripping most similar sentiments said seemed to hold. Her obvious lack of experience in socializing with other foxes also left a seriously lacking capacity for manipulation that a guilt trip takes.
"Thank you for the story though," She said picking up and trotting to go and continue her fun alone before she accidentally bumped into Solstice, though, this time, she thought, she'd be sure to keep her distance from the god she didn't want to annoy any further.

His face drooped and out came a long and semi-whiny "Awwwwwwwwwwww.. C'mon Monday..." He did a couple steps to the side as she brushed by him. "I didn't mean it like that! Don't be maaaaaaaaaaaaad!" Solstice turned and trotted after her in a tizzy. He got up next to her and walked in stride "I was only playing. I swear I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything."
His head bobbled back and forth as they walked, his tail swished in the same rhythm. After a minute of feeling pretty crappy about his joking around a determined look came over his face and he did a few quick steps and jumped in front of her. "HALT!" Solstice held his left paw out in an attempt to get her to stop, he winced a bit preparing himself for a possible impact or retaliation.

"You didn't hurt my feel-" Monday started but found herself pulling her nose back when the other deity was in front of her shouting halt at the top of his lungs, which definitely did the trick, causing the socially inept goddess to freeze in her tracks, giving him a wide eyed and quizzical look before laughing. "What are you doing?"
She scrunched her nose when she heard he was only playing, feeling like the fool, not that that ever stopped her or affected her much. "I couldn't tell," She said honestly, moving a few strands of hair from in front of her face and giving a bit of an embarrassed grin. "But my feelings weren't hurt, I just didn't want to impair your mood any more.

He smiled at her and let his paw back down, slowly swishing his tail side to side. "I couldn't let my friend start to walk away and there be a chance of not talking to her again." He waited for a zinger of sorts, but like he said, he didn't want to not talk to her.
"Sure you got under my skin a bit, buuuuuuuuuuut friends to that to each other some times." He scooted a bit closer to her and nudged her playfully. "And I'm glad I didn't hurt your feelings."
