You forget that this is a video game that runs off formulas, numbers, and patterns of operations. Not an Anime where anything can happen. Being the Champion would get boring after a while because eventually the trainers will start looping. As in, the same ones over and over again. The Battle Tower does it after a while. Even if what trainer you faced was randmoized, it would still be the same trainers. Something like that would be a pointless use of data space. They would rather use that space for something else, like an additional Battle Tower which would ultimately be the same thing.
As for the part about having something that tells you "A Challenger is waiting" that has already been done. In the original Silver and Gold versions you were able to exchange phone numbers with trainers you encountered and every so often they will give you a call to have a rematch. These trainers also grew in strength the more times you defeated them. Some of them even became just as strong as the E4. It is likely that same concept will be added into Soul Silver and Heart Gold.
Also, as stated, the Elite Four and the Champion become stronger when you have to go through Round 2, which is something else that has been thrown into Pokemon games and will be in SS/HG for sure.
The problem with your idea is that it is very unnessicary since the game has plenty of things to do otherwise. If you really want to battle strong trainers over again, go to Stark Mountain and use the VS Seeker.

Kyo the III My opinion is you should be able to be the champ. They could use the phone as they do in pokemon Gold and Silver to call if you had a battle. And if you went though the e4 again then you could battle yourself from the last time you won the league. Especially since you actually are the Champ Luther Olathes You forget that this is a video game that runs off formulas, numbers, and patterns of operations. Not an Anime where anything can happen. They would rather use that space for something else, like an additional Battle Tower which would ultimately be the same thing. You forget that if you got bored of it you could always lose the title. They can fit a lot of data in small spaces nowadays Luther Olathes As for the part about having something that tells you "A Challenger is waiting" that has already been done. As I said in the edited first post, it is mandatory, so it would be different Luther Olathes Also, as stated, the Elite Four and the Champion become stronger when you have to go through Round 2, which is something else that has been thrown into Pokemon games and will be in SS/HG for sure. I don't see the point in this statement? o.O Luther Olathes The problem with your idea is that it is very unnessicary since the game has plenty of things to do otherwise. If you really want to battle strong trainers over again, go to Stark Mountain and use the VS Seeker. Some may consider it unneccassary, but I, and apparently others, consider it obvious as something that should happen because you are the champ, what do other trainers do when they go to the Elite Four? Not battle the champ, because that is you. I only want what is obviously what should be there.

felinoel Kyrenx I think your expecting a little bit too much persistentcy out of a turn-based game? Why do you say that? Because there is currently no way to constantly keep persistently updating the game. The method of wi-fi currently being offered isn't stable enough to randomly have a vividly new challenger come challenge you except for having some lame generic "Trainer A" challenge you over and over again, which you can already get those sort of battles with the Vs Seeker or an even better challenge by going to the in-game Battle Tower.

Have you played through the game, 100%? Made it to Stark Mountain, battled the Battle Tower, and fought Tycoon?

felinoel Vixanz It could be an option, but to be honest, it would be kinda boring Eventually D; How so? What do you mean "how so?" things get boring, some of us grow out of it. It's just an opinion. On any case, if you feel that strongly about it, write a letter to the poke company or whomever instead of complaining here. ? Again, just an opinion. rolleyes

ON THE SIDE NOTE - what are you looking as a response? For someone to agree with you? None of us work at the company where we could directly suggest anything. If you want something done right, do it yourself. Step up.

felinoel Sakesumaru The whole point of the game is to explore the Pokemon world and go through new adventures. The game's purpose isn't about keeping a champion title. The game didn't used to be about appearances, and now there is Beauty contests So I don't see your point? I'm just saying that you're setting the bar too high for your expectations on a turn-based RPG.Your idea isn't bad but it will eventually get boring.

"There is no such thing as coincidence in this world..... Eh... I didnt like the Vrs Seeker much. I liked the R/S/E Vrs seeker where you could immediately see who wanted to battle instead of going all over gumption to find a few trainers who will battle.
As for the original Idea... it would be cool to become the True Champion. I mean come on, you defeated the previous one, they even say you are the new Champion, but you cannot battle challengers? I thought that was weird. Maybe later they will allow us to become the "cynthia" or whatever

There is no point in being the Champion. Getting through the Elite for DOES NOT prove your strength as a trainer, only how high the level of your pokemon are. Also, standing in one spot fighting trainers that constently walk into the room acheives nothing. it will but the mechanics of the games into a loop that will eventually have to end.
There is already a battle tower, which is EXACTLY what you two want. It is the true test of strength in a trainer's skills, and you have to battle a stream of trainers untill you are defeated. You are also given a break ever 7 battles and earn points which you can use to get really good items.
You are given the title of Champion, and your pokemon are given Ribbons to prove it. Do you honestly need more than that? stare

What makes you think that is what I want? I want what is mine, the Champion title and the ability to stop others from getting that title, if Cynthia can be defeated what is stopping other people from getting that title? Yes, the title means nothing if it does nothing. Here, I give you the title of Banana King, enjoy, you now have that title, whatcha going to do with it? Nothing.

Do you have 5-Stars on your trainer card? (Beat the Elite four, beat one contest on master mode, caught every single pokemon, have a streak record of 100 in the battle frontier, and have a platinum flag in Underground) I still need to catch every pokemon and get the 100 streak, which is gonna be plenty for me to do. Oh, and if you have Platinum, get gold plates for all the frontier brains. That is something that should take a long time. Especially the Battle Hall. If you've done all this, go outside more.
