Jerome's defensive snarl melted away when he spotted the angry demon, leaving behind a face of utter confusion. He didn't really want to question what had just happened, but he was thankful that he was finally alone with Koyuki once more.
"No. I don't, I still have my AI you know" he said with a chuckle as he watched her laugh and not care what anyone thought as she eased back into his embrace.

"Oh I know...but I would take one cranky AI over a house full of crazies any day..." Koyuki wiped away a few stray tears from her laughter and placed her cheek against his chest; still grinning. "You can't tell me you'd rather be in my position then out in your pod!" The solitude, the quiet....it surely was a thing of the past around here since the two new additions came along.
Yet...she figured it had to be lonely in a sense. Perhaps it was rude of her to think that he was used to the solitude and enjoyed it; rather than possibly just having to deal with it for all the years he'd been in the forces.

The Spartan smiled, assuring her that she had no reason to fear her comments. He wouldn't be easily hurt over such a small little comment like that. "I do enjoy it. But I do get lonely, especially with me not knowing where you are" he said truthfully.
He was enjoying the position he was in, but he felt that perhaps the annoying demon was right. They wouldn't get the privacy the wanted if they just sat out there in the middle of no where. He had to find some place where they could both meet and still have peace. Wait! He had it. He remembered jogging by a secluded grove with a small ring of water with a willow tree growing on some dry land in the middle. It was a difficult spot to reach, but it was worth the privacy.
"Come on. I have something to show you" he said as he waited a bit for her to get up

Slowly looking up, she wondered secretly if her cheeks would ever be white again when she was around Jerome; that crimson splash of colour seeming to stain deeper into her pelt. She could relate, in a way, to how he felt lonely without her around. "Even in a house filled with others...I'm still lonely without you."
Yet this breif moment of peace was interrupted by his voice, and curiously her ears perked up while her eyes trailed up to his face. "Oh?" She replied, uncurling her tail from his own as she stood up; making sure the sundress remained where it was supposed to - something she didn't have to worry about in her long and flowing kimono. Turning around to wait as he stood as well, her head tilted in an innocent curiosity; since it wasn't like Jerome to be so random and vauge.
"What is it?" Koyuki asked, trying to think of what he could have to show her all of a sudden.

Jerome stood with a smirk on his face. "You'll see. Now I want you to get on my back and close your eyes very tightly" he said as he bent down for her to climb on. He was trying his damndest in being romantic, even if this whole thing was a flop.

Pouting her lip gently she gave a little huff...she loved surprised but at the same time her curiosity always got the best of her and wanted to know now. None the less she trusted him, and climbed onto his back as he knelt down and wrapped her arms tightly around his collar bone.
Although she wanted to peek, Koyuki closed her eyes tight and nuzzled her face into the back of Jerome's neck. "Okay...I'm ready!" If he'd gone through all this thought and trouble, it was the least she could do to obey his simple request right?

Jerome stood and started to briskly run towards his destination, which he knew was basically a mid point from her house or his. He jumped over large foliage with ease and dodged trees without breaking a sweat. Despite his size and bulk, he ran gracefully and smoothly. He was also silent. A trait he had picked up over the years. Normally with his armor he made a bit of sound, but without it, he was a shadow. Probably why the old ways of getting kids to be scared of monsters was by mentioning the Boogey Man..which was a Spartan
He ran for a while, every now and then checking to make sure Koyuki's eyes were closed and that she was still back there. Finally after 10 minutes, his run slowed to a jog, and then to a walk. Soon he stopped in front of a small creek, which had formed a dainty moat around a small hill, in which a grown willow tree sat. The area was dimly lighted because of the thick tree leaves. They still let in a serene amount of light, making the place very romantic to look at

The ride was much smoother than she'd remembered, probably because she wasn't plagued by a wound in a core area of connective muscle and tissue. Keeping her face buried in his neck, she inhaled the earthy as well as metallic scent from his fur and clothes...as well as keeping her temptation to peek at a minimum.
When the ride stopped, Koyuki wondered if it was alright to look, but hadn't heard anything from her companion. "Jer...." Chocolate orbs peeked over his shoulder at the sight before her, looking around with a fascinated curiosity. "....wow...." Koyuki breathed and slowly removed herself from his back, taking in all the beauty of the place before her. It was like something out of a fairytale, and truth be told it made her heart leap in excitement. He wanted to show her this place as a surprise! The gesture was amazingly romantic, and it showed on the warmth of her expression as she whirled around to face him. "Jerome...this place is breath taking!" Placing a delicate paw over her heart she still felt her eyes wander to the sights....truly in awe.

The Spartan beamed, knowing he was once again pleasing her and making her happy, which is what she deserved. "I'm glad you like it, I've been meaning to show it to you for a while, but I just never go around to making the gesture" he said with a tad bit of guilt weighing down his voice.
He stepped over a few rocks and into the small creek, where water flowed gently over his paws. "Come, I will carry you to the island" he said as he held his arms out. It wasn't a huge gesture, but it was still 10 feet before they would reach the embankment. Far to long for a lady to get her paws wet.

The smile on Jerome's face was contagious as the vixen couldn't keep her lips from cracking into a brilliant smile. "I'm glad you did....really glad." And she was, it was sooo much better than her stream side seat; while the waters song soothed her troubles and tribulations....this place was simply magical. There was no other way to describe it.
Turning back to watch the Spartan cross closer to the water, she tilted her head curiously as he stepped into the water. Her cheeks stained in a faint red at his request, it really was only water she'd thought logically...but the romantic in her was melting at this sincere request. Nodding her head in a shy approval the vixen gracefully stepped onto the same rocks Jerome stepped over one by one till she she could take his hand standing at a rock near his side.

Jerome carefully picked her up with the greatest of ease and sloshed his way through the ankle deep water. After maybe 6 steps, he set her down on the island and shook his paws. "Well here we are. I happen to know that this willow tree has several low hanging branches underneath it's leaves" he said as he moved the long tendrils back as if it was a curtain. The inside was dark, but it had appeared deserted, which was perfect. "After you" he said with a cordial bow of his head. Why he did that, he wasn't sure. Love made people do strange things

Wrapping her arms around his neck lightly as she had no fears of him dropping her, but instead enjoyed the notion that she could do so; her eyes continued to take in all the spot had to offer. "How did you find this place...? And thank you...." Koyuki asked softly in bewilderment as she was set down and bowed back in a playful politeness, smiling up to Jerome before making her way up the slope to the large willow. Reaching out a paw she took some of the long tendrils and felt their small budding leaves.
Pushing the leaves aside and wandered into the light speckled dusk of the tree's tent like structure, she gasped softly as the small specks of sunlight seeping in looked like stars against the tree trunk. "Its like one could be floating in space....unless you've been there then its probably not the same at all.." She mused, using a claw to trace a constellation into the bark.

"Close, but not quite" he said as he jumped up on one of the lower limbs near Koyuki and laid down on it, looking closely resembling a black leopard who was resting for the day. He hung one of his paws down and swayed it gently. He wasn't bored, he was just amused by this for some reason.
"Space has no gravity, and it's really cold and dark. Other than that, this is fairly similar."He said looking up swearing for a moment he saw a flicker. His mind quickly played tricks on him and made him envision a covenant cruiser activating it's grav lift over the tree and sucking them up.

"Really..." She tried to envision it, yet sadly she couldn't see the truth behind her illusions of what space could be. The countless stars stretching on into infinity, the occasional shooting star as you drift into forever. It was completely a romanticized view of space but Koyuki didn't mind; it wasn't like she ever would experience what Jerome had and was content to keep space that heaven like place.
Following suit to Jerome's splendid idea, Koyuki laid down on the ground on her back and stared up into the 'night sky' appearance of the willow; and of course Jerome. She could feel the faint 'tears' of the tree land on her fur, and sent a soft shiver up her spine when enough of the mist collected. "Do you miss it.....being a soldier when it was your everything?" She asked seemingly out of the blue, closing her eyes with a gentle and relaxed smile on her face.

Jerome rolled off the tree branch and moved over next to Koyuki. He plopped his butt down and laid flat on his back with his front arms folded behind his head as he looked up as well. He had the unfortunate disadvantage of having water droplets fall directly in his eye, so he had to move his head a bit to where they were falling on his cheek instead.
After he got done situating himself, he finally attempted to answer his beloved's question. "Of course. It was dangerous, but it was worth it. The so many different planets with such diverse wildlife. If I eve have kids, I want to at least name one after one of the planets I've been to. Some are just gorgeous. Like Elysia?" he paused to turn his head and look over at the vixen. "..She was named after a large planet that was a raging storm all over the planet. but up above in the atmosphere, there was a place called sky town. Ah.." he said as he sighed. "Beautiful."
