I'm in 8th grade and our chior sucks too. :[ The altos tend to sing aprano parts an octive down NOBODY knows how to read music All the guys a clumped into one big section and half of the guys seriously just don't know how to sing.
Although, our teacher is absolutely no help eaither. D:<

yeah, I know what you mean. my middle school chorus was TERRIBLE!!!!! First off, we didn't sing real music, just stuff the director printed off the words for and taught us the melody to. The only real song we ever did, the group decided that we couldn't sing. I think the problem was that the director was too wishy-washy. He did whatever the kids wanted him to. mad

Hmm. My choir has kids from 4th grade to 9th grade. We're smart though and know how to read music. x.o;; There's just SOME kids who can't and really suck. It's so sad. And there are like six altos. I would be an alto but I REALLY can't sing that low.
I went to a friend's choir concert tonight...ugh. 120 kids. ALL were fidgeting except maybe two. And they weren't opening their mouths or standing right.
I've had the chance to listen to and sing to our middle school choirs (7th and 8th are seperate). I must say they're not bad for not having sung long. Most middle schoolers in choir haven't been singing long so it's kinda understandable if they're not great at first because they're still trying to get the swing of things.

I can barely sing with High Schoolers anymore.
I hate when people don't care about the music as much as I do.
