Olga-- Scarred lawyer Sometime luck is with you...
Slamming an arm into the gap between the closing doors, the russian lawyer barely managed to open them again. She could have been considered beautiful once. Long chocolate hair, sharp green eyes, a delicate smile. The scars from the car crash stopped most people from realizing that she's more that capable of taking care of herself. She had been down on the 20th floor visiting the people that worked for her like she normally did every week, and had nearly missed the elevator as normal as well. Pressing the button for the 80th floor, which she shared with two other lawyers, Olga stepped back from the doors and waited while the elevator rose upwards yet again.

((Can't say I excel at them either.))
Casper had entered the elevator shortly before Olga and hit the button for floor 100. The elevator was reasonably sized, and it wasn't the only one in the building. Besides himself, there were five women and another man. The man almost look a little intimidating to Casper, but what did Casper have to fear? If the man did something to the lawyer, he'd sue, and he had the experience and the money to afford the litigation expenses.
For the most part, Casper stayed quiet. No one seemed to be engaging in elevator talk, and the only sound was really the elevator bell dinging at each floor. The lawyer spent his time staring at the numbers on the elevator meter.
-------
Which would have probably been the case for the whole ride until....
*SCREEEEECH!* The elevator suddenly came to an abrupt stop. The lights in the elevator flickered once or twice, but remained on. However, the digital screen above the elevator doors, which held the floor number fizzed. The last number had been 37, but there was no way to tell if they were actually at the 37th floor, below it, or above it. Elevators didn't always display the floors at the exact moment they arrived at the floor level.

Olga-- Scarred lawyer ...Other times it isn't.
With a hideous screech the elevator jolted once or twice before grinding to a halt somewhere near the 37th floor. Having stumbled and fell with the jolting, Olga clambered back up using the rail on the side of the lift, blowing hair out of her face. "Vhat happened? Vhy did ve stop? Did anyvone hit the emergency button?" Her eyes flicked from person to person before realizing that she was closest to the panel. The right side of her face flushed with embarrasment as full knowledge of what this meant. She was the most suspitious person as to wat happened. At least it was only the emergency lights that were on making it harder for the others to see her face. Please get us out of here soon.

Elizabeth Jenette Gesping
Jenette found herself falling into the man next to her, and when she realized it was the intimidating man, she quickly righted herself. The seemingly Russian woman, who seemed fairly scared, was amusing to Jenette. Not only did she ask a ridiculous question, but her panic amused Jenette as well. She saw the blind eye, and the scars, but Jenette was not judgmental against such things.
"I thought this place was supposed to be decent." She pulled her blouse down, pulling the wrinkles down, as she spoke. She smoothed the wrinkles out of her skirt as well before asking, in an irritated tone, "What is wrong with this elevator?" She was annoyed, and she knew that prolonged time away from the office would be a problem to the senior partners.

--- Jack Dubois
As the elevator screeched to a halt, Jack looked up to see the lights flicker on and off for a few seconds, managing to glance down and steady the girl with one hand as she fell right into him. His amusement at the girl's eagerness to step away from him was overridden by his serious thoughts. Would the security guards really stop the elevator to get at him? No, they would surely and simply wait at each floor until he got out. There was no panic in him, only annoyance as, yet again, his whole mission about coming into this godforsaken building was halted.
Jack's thoughts now were only of how he were to escape. They had stopped around the thirty-seventh floor, and that meant... Jack's icy eyes moved to gaze at the Russian woman as she spoke, his thoughts being clouded as she spoke in her accent. Noticing her scars and one blind eye, he paid no mind to her appearance, more so to her embarrassing statement.
"Someone use the service phone, see if we can actually find an answer instead of just asking the same question," Jack said lowly, his annoyance plainly showing.

Luckily, Casper was by the way when the elevator lurched to a halt. He caught himself on the wall next to Olga and almost laughed at her ridiculous comment. "That's a good idea," he said in response to the intimidating man's suggestion.
-----
Yes, the elevator did have a red emergency service phone. Alongside it was also an "Help Is On the Way" LED that light up if help ...was on the way, supposedly.
The service phone was opposite the elevator panel. So, it was not next to Olga, unless she was standing in front of the doors of the elevator.
The other items on the elevator panel included an alarm button, the floor number buttons, the typical open and close elevator door buttons, and key holes.
As far as anyone could hear, if they tried hearing outside the elevator, there would be no noise. They were inside an elevator, which was inside an elevator shaft, which in turn was not exactly in open space with people's offices. The layers of walls would certainly make noise insulated.

Rachel fell against the railing of the elevator, pain flaring in her arms from the impact. What the deuce?
She listened as the other occupants, confused, attempted to uncover what was wrong with the elevator. Other than the talking inside the small elevator, there didn't appear to be any outside noise to clue them in about their location or their situation.
Looking around, she saw an alarm button. Deciding it could do no harm, she reached around the Russian woman and pressed it. If it could help her get to the appointment faster, it was worth a shot.
I don't think it's possible to die in an elevator... it's not totally closed off, we shouldn't run out of air or anything. I think as long as someone notices something's up, we'll be fine.

Julianah felt her heart stop with the elevator. She wasn’t usually uncomfortable in small spaces, but today was different. She looked at the other occupants; there were enough to make her feel crowded and make the air feel stuffy. ”Why would it stop?” she asked in a choked whisper, knowing that she was not contributing anything useful. She looked around the tiny room, trying to find something that might be helpful. But once the alarm was pressed, what more could she do? She shifted her weight from one foot to the other very quickly, almost looking like she was walking in place. Not knowing what else she could do with herself, she pressed her back up against the corner of the elevator and slid down onto the floor. She kept her knees up against her torso, resting her elbows on them and placing her head in her hands. She tried to shut out any noise or movement. ”Please get us out of here quickly…” she whispered, not knowing to who. She put a hand on her purse, almost protectively. She immediately felt that this was a sign that she should go home, and give up on this impossible quest. But that didn’t matter if she couldn’t even get out of the elevator.

((I don't know who is closest to the service phone, so someone can just pretend they are.))
When Rachel reached for and pressed the alarm button, an annoying alarm starting blaring. It would stop if Rachel let go of the button, and it was highly likely that she would because the elevator suddenly lurched upward.

Olga-- Scarred lawyer The lift's working again. Is it good?
Moving out of the way so that one of the other females could press the alarm, Olga spotted the emergancy phone on the other side of the door from where she was. With two people inbetween her and it, there was more of a point in one of the others getting it rather than her. However it seemed that the alarm had done the trick as the elevator lurched into movement once again. The alarm had also turned on a rather annoying shrill whine that turned on and off every two seconds. "See. Nothing to vorry about. Just a fault." There vas a fault in one of the other elevators the other day. This must have been the same thing. I'll speak to one of the technitions later. Waiting patiently against the wall Olga watched as the numbers lit up as they should. Reaching one of the floors it was ordered to the doors opened to reveal....
((And I'll stop here untill Scythe posts the description of the outside.))

((Oh, dear. I've now ruined Olga's glee.))
...another set of elevator doors (the outer set on the elevator shaft), that had not opened and didn't look like it was going to open soon. The display showing what floor the elevator was at was blanked out.
and then the elevator itself with the open doors lurched into a free fall mode. One would be able to see the ugly interior of the elevator shaft fly by.

--- Jack Dubois
Jack was slightly relieved as the elevator sprang up once more, his paranoia leaving him for a minute or so. Though, he was always aware of what was going on around him. If he was to get caught, it would be on his terms.
Of course, as the elevator opened and Olga stood looking out at the closed doors, Jack peered at the metal, waiting, but somehow knowing that they weren't going to open. His luck, it seemed.
As though he were about to walk over and try to pry the doors open himself, he quickly stopped himself, bracing for the fall and impact the elevator was seemingly taking. Grabbing Olga before she shredded that already scarred up face of hers, he pulled her away from the open shaft. In that time, he brought her into an almost bear-hug position against the side wall of the elevator, bracing them both for what was to come.
Great, I'm going to die in a metal box with a bunch of strangers. Figures. Jack thought to himself, his eyes surprisingly open as they fell.

Mira Falentine was quite surprised by the fall of the elevator, and she tried to remain calm. Her insides were about to turn upside down by the sudden pressure in the elevator, and it showed on her face. She decided that she was not to throw up all over these strangers, and tried to calm herself by chewing the gum. 'I guess I'm not going to the exhibit then...' she said to herself in her mind. At least, if she were to not survive the crash, she would die with her prized possession, her camera. No, she couldn't die. That's just too depressing. There would be another alternative. Of course. Of course. She kept trying to tell herself that, but in the end, one can only hope.
