 It is through skill that we fightKnowing the implications of his Lieutenant’s words, Yukito prepared himself as Daichi released his zanpakuto’s Shikai, transforming his swords into dual handguns, quite a unique release form ”Interesting. Given your skill in swordsmanship, the last thing I would’ve imagined your Shikai to be is a long-ranged weapon, let alone a gun.” Yukito commented, twirling one of his zanpakuto’s swords in a similar manner to Daichi’s ”It seems like you are quite versatile then, Lieutenant Daichi Yamazaki.” he spoke before inserting sword back into its scabbard ”Bite, Shikke Ookami.” came the release phrase as he swiped the hilt’s end with his hand, before the solid form of the sword sublimated into mist including the scabbard. By the time the entire sword was gone, the mist had covered a sizeable area.
Suddenly, the distinct sound of a whistle was heard before Yukito disappeared from his place, reappearing to Daichi’s left side about a meter or so away. His sword drawn, the Captain dashed towards his Lieutenant, the blade placed well in front of him to both shield him and to make it easier for him to move it into a striking diagonal slash aimed at the chest down to the waist.It is through unity that we win

Hearing the praise from his cpatain was encouraging to Daichi but he was going to save all the emotions for after the fight which had just became even more interesting. The sound of Yukito releasing his zanpaktou put the sqiad lieutenant on high alert for he had no clue of his captain's abilities but could only imagine they were nothing to take light of and as the mist covered Yukito's position only made things worse.
The sudden reappearance from Daichi's left triggered him to move into action. He pointed one of his guns behind him and fired off a huge blast that quickly propelled him forward. While gliding in the air, Daichi turned his body around to see his captain as he pointed the other gun, aimed, and fired off a bright blue beam of reiatsu.

It is through skill that we fightTaking into account the fact that both of his weapons were categorized as long-range armaments, Yukito expected Daichi to avoid his attack and then disappear from his spot using Shunpo to place some distance between him, before firing off a shot towards him. However it seemed as if his Lieutenant still wasn’t done surprising him with his unorthodox actions. As Daichi used his gun as a makeshift rocket booster, propelling him towards Yukito, the Captain’s eyes widened in surprise, before going back to their calm almost serpentine-like appearance. This was no time to be impressed, if Daichi was going to fire a shot at him while they were accelerating towards each other, it would reduce the flight-time of the shot significantly, making it harder for Yukito to dodge. However, it would also place him dangerously close to Yukito who was the more melee-oriented of the two.
This was a gamble, a high-speed gamble at that, whoever would react the quickest would be the victor. Never slowing down even for a second, Yukito continued his dash, the guns seemed to be capable of producing a powerful amount of energy if they were capable of driving their wielder forward, and if Yukito were struck he’d most likely be debilitated or otherwise outright crippled. But there was no room for fear, as Daichi fired off a shot towards him, Yukito managed to dodge it by a hairline, wincing a bit as it zipped through underneath his armpit, causing a minor gash to form on the side of his chest. But even then he didn’t slow down, as the distance between them closed, Yukito swung his sword in a wide diagonal arc, aiming for Daichi’s left shoulder ”Fang Slasher.” he whispered as the blade came swinging down, in that instant, the head of a large pure white wolf materialized at the blade’s tip, it gave out a disquieting roar as it opened its mouth and sought to tear apart Daichi’s shoulder with its fangs.It is through unity that we win

Noticing the look in his captain's eyes, Daichi could somewhat tell that his abilities were impressing his captain, but also knew this wasnt the time for emotions to get in the way as he just watched his captain surprisingly dodge the attack. "Thats why he's a captain." He thought to himself while believing that attack was gonna hit.
The incoming attack from Yukito alerted Daichi into quickly coming up with his next plan of attack. The wide diagonal arc aiming for his shoulder was just the opportunity he needed, which is why he lowered the shoulder that was about to be attacked to take less damage instead of the full on attack. The moment the sword struck him, his body slowly began to drop to the ground as if he took a direct hit. Falling down, he pointed one gun at Yukito at point blank range, "Lightning Impact" was shouted as the gun bursted a bright white light mixed with lightning and fired a wide blast aiming for the same spot his previous attack barely hit his captain
